Bad streak at RIVAL... You experienced that too?

I'm a big fan of RIVAL video slots as some of you already know :D

For me it was always a good time playing in RIVAL casinos. Sometimes i lost, sometimes i won. But the often triggered features and the great variance gave me always a lot of playtime, until now.

Since about 10 days it's IMPOSSIBLE for me to win in a RIVAL casino. I play mostly on Slots Capital but after 4 deposits without any luck i tried Tropica Casino and the same thing happened. Bonus Features don't appear that often, payouts are bad...

I know the software it's fair and i know it's probably just a bad streak... But i'm just wondering... You guys also had these times with RIVAL?

What especially felt bad for me these days was that, when it's cold, it's freezing cold, and i couldn't find a slot that was able to save me, all of them seemed icecold... I hope i get lucky again at my favorite software...

I gave up on Rival when the help file for The Back Nine changed from 'about 99' to 'about 95' as the RTP - I raised this issue privately and was told that it was the automatic help file generators (!?!?!?!?) getting it wrong again.

I pursued the issue and was then told that 95% was the RTP for the base game and that Rival had decided to completely omit the contribution of the mini-golf bonus round to the RTP.

That made no sense at all to me as the bonus game always pays at least 50% of its maximum value even if you literally just whack the ball into the scenery for 8 shots whereby the game says 'MAXIMUM SHOTS REACHED' and gives you 50% of the prize anyway. As such the 'worst case scenario' was 'about 97' as opposed to 'about 95'.

I whacked a shitload of spins through the slot in its 'about 95' incarnation and that was more than enough to convince me it'd been messed with.

Therefore I exercised the only ultimate control us players have, and it was off to the big UNINSTALL button again :D

Chopley......read this post above in conjunction with what I said in the MGS thread earlier. :) See what I mean?

Hoff.....you can't win all the time mate. You loved Rival because you were winning, but now you're losing you're not so keen. Streaks like this CAN and DO happen everywhere, and if you can't accept them as normal, you're not going to enjoy gambling online very much.

Its a bit unfair to put those who have won then don't win for a short while in the same basket with those of us that genuinely never win.

I can understand where you're coming from when those that started gambling a week ago say "I never win",but when you genuinely deposit regularly and can more or less predict the way things are going to happen (on an MG casino) everytime you deposit, its a little harsh to be slated/called a sore loser for discussing the losing side of things-on a gambling forum.

Please show me where I said that everyone that discusses the "losing side of things" is a sore loser?

Thankyou.

I have seen it on a few occasions, you seem to automatically group us into this bad loser section.

The above and 1 guy who "only made a few deposits" from the MG thread you referred to,I agree with, but some of us-myself included do not deserve this tag.

Most recently this comment:

Nothing stated by the OP suggests anything other than a bog standard losing streak.

It's gambling.

Its basically tongue in cheek for "sore loser",when in fact the op in that thread actually made a decent post.

In other words, I didn't say what you accused me of saying at all, so thanks for clearing that up.

The quote you provided is very clearly worded. I stated that nothing in that post was evidence of any kind of rigged software or lowered TRTP or anything at all other than a bad streak of luck. I did NOT say he was a sore loser.....you interpreted that in your own mind.....erroneously as it happens.

I occasionally complain about bad runs and losing streaks.....that makes me a sore loser by your interpretation of what I said (or actually didn't say). Well I seriously doubt anyone here would consider me a sore loser, so you're wrong on that score too.

I'll empathize with people having a losing streak,...I always have....when it is a genuine "I'm having shitty luck" post. My reaction is different when members start blaming the games and the software providers and start banging on about stuff being rigged.....and when challenged, they cry "well its just my feeling and you can't argue with my feelings" to attempt to deflect attention away from the fact that they have no evidence, no data, no screenies, no nuttin to support their "feelings". People have the right to express their feelings, but if one is going to share them in a public forum they need to be prepared to have them questioned and/or discussed and maybe even ridiculed to a point.

You're saying that I don't have the right to express my opinion about someone else's opinion, whilst at the same time insisting that person has the right to express their opinion. You can't have it both ways.

If you think I'm wrong.....show me....prove it. I will listen all day long, and admit if I am wrong.

I actually hope that your luck improves....I don't like seeing people lose....and I hope that you keep your mind open to the possibility that the way you gamble and your attitudes toward it might be contributing to your lack of success. If you need any tips or help or advice, feel free to PM me. I have nothing against you personally.

I'm not saying you don't have the right to voice your opinion, its just whenever these threads/posts appear your tone generally seems to be the same.

"Its a bad run-he/she is just a sore loser-lets move on".Its always a rather abrupt statement which only adds to the sarcastic if not harsh tone.

For example,in the MG thread he/she didn't just mention the losing streak, there was a few points-the way people always get kicked from 32red maybe once twice an hour due to this casino error, which has been well documented here by several of us,and which has been happening for so long it should be fixed by now.

Yet you ignore any of this, notice the bad run comment, remark about how he's/she's a bad loser then thats you done.

Ps Why would I have any other attitude to gambling other than the average gambler ie I want to win?

I appreciate your offer, seriously I do but,I'm like any other gambler-I don't double click on any casino thinking "I really want to lose today",but at the same time I do gamble for entertainment.

Now I know people will say but you complain-yes,admittedly I do,but lets be honest, how long would you gamble for,for entertainment purposes only before thinking I wouldn't mind taking a half decent w/d out at some point....?

When it becomes predictable-after almost 18 months since starting playing online casinos it becomes a little less fun.

Maybe I need a change of platform - I don't know.

The reason I don't address the 32Red connection problems is because it has already been explained.

The issue is related to the broadband system is Gibraltar where 32Red is based. Apparently the infrastructure is old and unreliable and needs upgrading, which is beyond the casinos control as it is a government issue. Other businesses in Gibraltar are similarly affected. It is not an indication of rigging or resetting of games etc etc, but some won't believe otherwise so I generally don't bother.

I normally explain why I call "sore loser" or whatever. I seldom just say it and sign off, but if you have several examples, and it appears you do, then show me.

You should be aware, however, that there is nothing wrong with a short sharp opinion. If you don't like it or agree with it, feel free to ask me to clarify and I will generally comply. I don't feel the need (unlike others around here) to pad out my posts with schlock to make myself appear more knowledgeable. Why say in 500 words what you say in 50?
