Bad practice IMO

Yesterday I received an email from one of the Nektan group offering me a 100% bonus with a code to use upon deposit. I did this only to find the bonus was not credited. I go to live chat where I am told the system won’t allow it because it would take me over the 30% bonus v deposit ratio. My main gripe here is if their system is advanced enough to check if each player is going over that threshold then they should get their email service to run on the same basis. I.E. Don’t send emails to players who won’t be eligible for these bonuses. You can’t really expect a player to check things like that out before they deposit and working on a logical basis why would I? I have just received an email saying I am eligible.

More importantly.. Why would you take a Nektan bonus in the first place? The maximum you can get from their bonuses, after wagering, is 4x the bonus amount:eek:

Max cashout this low would take care that i'm not near there :) But if you received email and they do not credit offer you manually if you go to ask it BEFORE you start to wager your deposit, is quite bad practice, can agree to that.

I guess you played your deposit already, i would anyway forward that email to casino and ask how this can happen and that you wouldn't have deposit without that email, no idea where they are licensed but if they care anything about their reputation they should offer it to your next deposit (still wouldn't take it with that cashout term).

It is something I do now and again when slots go a bit dead for me it gives a bit more game time. Not looking to cashout a fortune and I like the fact money and bonus are separate so if you do get lucky early you can cashout.

I learned my lesson when I got really lucky with a £50 bonus. I had a balance of around £1400, just before wagering was completed, as soon as the wagering was done, my balance plummeted to £200.

It's not just the loss of £1200 which pissed me off. It was the fact that the rare (almost once in a lifetime) wins that I had, were completely wasted.

Jeeeez that would hurt. I suppose until it happens you never give it a thought. I am only a low roller and have never had a balance over £1,000 but I suppose it could happen on bonus money and yeah I would feel sick as a pig to be fair. Strange how these super wins occur on bonus money (or is it ?). A while back I took a bonus with large wagering and had 5 personal best hits (on 5 different slots). Still didn’t complete it though and that’s one of many instances I have run like the wind with bonus money.

I think it's UKGC regulation that all operators under their license have to keep these separate and if you don't touch bonus and win with your deposit, you can withdraw it (believe or not, it's even cheaper for casinos when there are no bonus costs in this kind of scenario but just one lucky player who didn't touch bonus which made one deposit).
