Avalon 2 coming up!

and calling it Avalon 2 is disrespectful and condescending to players of Avalon 1 in my opinion

Just as an aside... It's only a slot machine; lets not get carried away - they are pretty much entitled to do whatever they like. I don't think I could ever feel disrespected.

Disappointed maybe.

Agreed though, Avalon was ace when it first came out.

The graphics are truly amazing. I think we take it for granted that games should be pleasing to the eye... the hours of work involved is tremendous.

But the game is as boring as all hell :(

Played this the other day and did around 3.5k spins at .90 biggest win on it was $40 I think so it can go on a fairly long dead patch. Went through the whole lot of the bonus rounds and my total bonus wins was something like 165 which was bad. I kept with it cause I thought it would come back and give me something decent like at least once 100x bet but bust out. I lost 300 in no time at all. This slot can go on a dead patch for a very long time. I haven't seen that behavior in any of the other 243 way slot. Yeah you can bust out on all of them but will give something back. I just checked with the casino and my RTP on the game for the 3.5k spins was 20.92% never had such a bad RTP for that many spins on any slot. So now I am going back to my first impression. I hate that game and it does get boring after a while.

I decided not to play it a few weeks back as I had terrible losses. I kept thinking, it's got to pay something back but it didn't and I gave up chasing.

It also becomes very boring in the dead spins.

I may throw an odd twenty quid at it now and then but I definitely will not be playing a full session on it.

My experience has been slightly better than that, in a bad patch like all 243 way slots this can drain a balance very quickly like you have described there.

But on its day for example I played Sunday and the Monday all at 60p spins and the balance steadily grew with some nice 100 times wins and a monster 500 times win.

Its all about hitting the base games wins as most of the bonus rounds will be poor with the odd exception , I had a similar stat of £135 for the total bonus rounds.

I wouldn't steer clear of this totally it has big win potential in my opinion!

That is SERIOUSLY bad!
My opinion has changed about this slot too; when I first played it I got lots of play-time with a very small loss, so I thought it was low-ish variance.
But the few times I've played it since then it has been DIABOLICAL - just eating my money and laughing in my face. Tiny wins in normal spins and crap returns from the features, if and when they eventually turn up.
So now I have to agree with the majority, that this is a high variance beast - enter at your own risk!

Is it possible to start with 300$ and play 3500 spins and have a RTP of 20.92%?

Am I totally wrong when I say that if a player manages to play 3500 spins and bust out losing 300$ the RTP has to be over 90%?

Yes, you are correct: An RTP of 90.48% to be exact.
Well spotted!

3,500 x $0.90 spins = $3,150 wagered
Return ($3,150 - $300) = $2,850
2,850 ÷ 3,150 = 90.48%

Not a fan of this slot, really poor payouts overall and the bonus round is not only boring but I cant even get past the first part of it. Think my biggest win was about 20-30x and that Merlin only ever shows up when I have won something like 2x stake, its in my list of games not to go back to.

I tried it the first day it came out and have never been back since. And never will.

Worst game ever.

At one point I was really, really hating this game. LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGG periods of dead, dead and even deader spins, lots of screen shots that suck type spins (4 Arthurs or 4 Merlins with the aid of two stacked wilds but the missing link was reel 2 or 3 which meant no win at all or the absolutely pitiful bare minimum win that is 1/15th of your bet. Knowing that if the missing link had turned up you were hitting a win in excess of 200x bet. But then...I had a killer trailing wilds round which wiped out losses of over £180 and all was forgiven. 3 hours of frustration replaced by 3 minutes of satisfaction in an instant.

I have had a couple of losing runs since...but nothing bad. Maybe the odd £20 lost here or there. And I've had some "OK to half-decent" runs too....winning the odd £20 or better. But I still feel the need to exercise a great deal of caution with this slot. Those who complain about it being a brutal slot are clearly not exaggerating. I've had that brutal run which thankfully did get undone, but I would absolutely sympathise with those who had the brutal run and did NOT get that bonus saviour round. I'm probably "a tad ahead" on it overall, but I am still very, very wary of it's ability to just completely crush, demoralise and frustrate the living bajaysus out of me.

The other thing that I find is a problem.....once I have had the choose your wild and trailing wilds rounds (for me these have to be the 2 best features by a considerable distance)....I simply don't feel like carrying on. If I do want to play it for a bit longer, I'm almost inclined to switch to a different casino, IE one where I have yet to play Avalon 2 or one where I completed the quest cycle and am back at the beginning of a new quest.

I'm almost inclined to play Avalon 2 like this....

Start of quest - bet 60p per spins until I have got first 3 features (reforge Excalibur, choose your wild, trailing wilds)
Drop to 30p per spin until I get next feature (match 2 helms) OR go a to different casino where I have not played it or am at the start of the quest cycle.
Back up to 60p per spin until I get next feature (rolling reels)
Drop back to 30p until I get the Black Knight battle feature
Back up to 60p until I get the Wheel of Fortune....even this is a reluctant decision, given the need to hit that zero in order to hit a win that could be considered "meaningful". I also hate the fact that you can win as little as 111 times your line bet but as much 5099 times your bet. It's basically another capped round. Even if you hit the max of 5099x line bet (equivalent to 170x bet), you can EASILY lose that amount in the process of chasing that feature.

I'm sure that the changing of bets gets factored into any payouts I stand to get in much the same way the Dark Knight Rises does. But I just do not feel comfortable chasing a poor-paying, capped bonus feature at higher bets. The spells of dead spins are simply too long and the chances of hitting a big one in the base game (based on my own experiences of playing) are very small. The plus side with the capped features is that you are at least guaranteed something. But that something (even if you are hitting a win at the high end of the cap) tends not to last long once an inevitable dead patch comes along. And as for the slow speed of the spins...ugh don't get me started.

IR and TS2, Playboy and even TFROL (as harsh as they can be at times) are vastly superior to Avalon 2 in my humble opinion. A great pity as I was a big fan of the original Avalon. I'll still play Avalon 2, but it's not on my list of favourites, which is where I had expected it to be prior to its release.

I started with more than $300 it was more like $800. The RTP 20.92% RTP for 3.5K spins was correct. The horror will remain in my memory for a long time to come. My bet size average was .90 and the biggest win I had was $40 the next was $20. I did one and three quarter rounds of the bonus circuit. The first ending total was $165 for all the bonus rounds. I did solidly loose $300 on it. When I started I was running Battlestar Galactica also so I can't tell you exactly what I lost but the data regarding Avalon II is correct. I won't be playing it again for a while

I'm sorry, but it's not correct.
It doesn't matter what your starting balance was, if you wagered $3,150 and lost $300 (which you have stated twice now), then your RTP WAS a fraction over 90%.
If the casino told you 20.92%, then they got it wrong and gave you false information.

My starting balance was 800 I was playing other slots with it at the time but i stopped when I got to the 300 mark. The last 300 was lost exclusively on Avalon II. Also about 1.6k of the spins were done about 2 days before in my original session. I cashed out then went back and reversed and played other games in addition to Avalon II so I really don't know the total figures. I put down the 300 because that is what I was down to when I was only playing Avalon II by itself. So to be honest I really don't know the total loss I just kept track of it for the last 300. I was playing Avalon II with the starting balance but i was playing other slots simultaneously so I really can't tell you the total loss since the other slots did add it a little to the kitty. So indeed I lost way more than 300 I just can't tell you how much. It is a session I would rather forget.

All I'm saying is that the 20.92% figure can not be correct - not even on Avalon 2!

If 20.92% IS correct and you DID wager $3,150 - that means you MUST have lost nearly $2,500 - which is obviously not the case.
Maybe the 20.92 was just for one short session, and not ALL your play on the slot.

You are correct I probably lost that amount (ouch) I only asked for the stats on Avalon II from the two dates I played it (session went for 3 days off and on). It would have been a great session if i stayed away from Avalon II and cashed out and didn't reverse. Not one of my best moments but there you go. I probably wagered a total of 9,000 in total from all the slots I have played roughly. Indeed this slot can go on a deadly patch and wipe out your balance very fast. I have never had such bad play from any slot over that many spins and I knew the stats were going to be bad before I asked for them btw. I was just curious. I'd seen it go on dead patches on other casinos i have played at but it always evened out at some point. This time I was not so lucky. Now Avalon II goes into my once in a while pile of slots to play. Anyway at the end of my day my original investment was 50 for this session so I guess I can say I got some good play out of it so its not too bad. It did put me back on my original impression of Avalon II though, it sucks big time. For me anyway.

Thought I would give it another go after slating it, deposited £20 and played at 0.60p a spin and I just finished all the bonus rounds in 46 minutes, total win was £210 and ending balance £156.

The worst paying round was the last one even though I had a 977x multiplier

Biggest base game win was about £30 which was pretty poor, think it was reels 3 and 4 almost all wild with the K symbol.

I am rather surprised that a lot of people hate this slot.
I love it, even though it can be really cold sometimes, but TBH not unlike any other game.

The potential for huge wins in base game is big, and can strike out of nowhere.
The bonus rounds seem capped, but frequent.

Some examples -

Hit first 5 features within 87 spins at Thrills.
Completed all features twice, from a 10 euro comp at BetAt.
Generally hitting bonus quickly everytime I play, if not, I change the game ;)

Out of all 243 MG slots, this is the best looking, and rewarding one.
If I have hundred euro balance, I would be scared to bet .90 on IR or Playboy,
but not on Avalon II.

Only thing that sucks a little bit is that I cannot choose features,
after completing the trail.

Btw has anyone picked the Whispering Woods feature? I always say "next time I will try that"
but then choose Trailing wilds anyway :D

this game is not that bad but you need a good/big bankroll to play it. I have experienced both side of this game. When it released. At the start I lost 3.5 K in 2 hours play with $7.5 and then hit 2 good ones in the next 40 minutes I was up 17K. One pay 11.9K and another paid a bit shy 10K. Then dead since then... did hit 5 scatters on $15 but that is only 100x...

Standard high variant 243 liner... from MG. hit or miss...

On the side notes, seems every 3 - 4 trip of bonuses, there will be a good one paid more than 300x bets. (before I stop playing it, I finished 50 trips on high bets)

Cheers

plasticnote

if you could choose the feature after completing 1 entire round.....would have made me play this more, I like only a couple of features and it's boring when you know you don't really like the next feature coming.... maybe they can take feedback and change that

I dont like the final feature. Even tried hitting almost highest. And seems highest is not more than around 150x bet. I though if getting last number would had paid crazy. Until found out its is times line stake which is basically nothing even if get over 5000 in wheel game

Actually 2 last features i dont like. But love the rest ;) I have only chosen wild reels every time not the other one. I think its the 3rd feature where you have to choose your path.

OMFG Screen shots coming up playing at 32RED!!!!! Thak you Net Bentainment for messsing up today :D

C`mon Paaske, bring it on :D
Any high paying symbol and this is going to be epic. I`ll be waiting here (Congrats on the way )

Edit: Ooops, I was late. Sorry mate, but still good win ;)

Total win on £1,50 spin was = $533.85 Very nice that is 355x stake.

But still feeling bit :( as that was prob the closed ever getting to the ultimate win on Avalon 2. :p

Haha thanks Miiisoo

Anyone who would care to try and calculate what win would be if wild had come in on 3rd reel?? with wilds on all those positions?? I dont know the reel positions but with one wild in middle might be high paying symbol as well. From my best understanding I would had looked at over 5000x stake? So over $5000 win?

Damn typical in dumps the lowest symbols. Oh man i had my heart up my throat there :p

If you had no scatter and the helmet guy or arthur on reel 3 that win would have been truly awesome. That's my beef with this game sometimes you are off on the mega wins by a hair. I can't count the times I had 3 wild reels but nothing on the second reel to connect them and won squat. Way to go on the win though:)

Thanks :) Yeah bit down earlier in mood as Santas Wild Ride killed my account. I had a bonus from deposit so need around $800 to wager yet. Decided to jump on Santas Wild Ride doing $1,80. That was a big mistake and it all went despite over $600..... oh well SO CLOSE yet SO FAR :o

Fantastic Idea on your previous post about closing the slot down to get your screencap posted :)

Wish I had have thought of that.

Nice win btw; but I have to disagree about the typical lowest symbol.

Here is my first trailing wild feature from CasinoLuck 3 weeks ago. I deposited 55 and still have a nice bankroll from it today :)

Hit the wild on the top of the 1st & 3rd reel, then the next spin on the middle of the 2nd and last reel.

36 Merlins Avalon II Biggest Win Cropped 2.webp

Paid me 1327x Total Bet and is my biggest win ever; probably to never be repeated :(

I know what you mean about the wild hitting the last reel needed, holy cows of the holy grail

Think I'm sort of glad it didn't hit or I'd probably still be in hospital recovering ;)

ETA: This was from a £0.30 spin

I don't even dare calculate what I'd have won if the wild had it, I think I'd be sick!

Yep couldn't agree more. I have found the 3rd reel especially to be a constant letdown/missing link to the big base game wins. The ridiculous number of times I've seen Merlin drop at the top on reel 3 (with the lady of the lake symbol one spot above it) when there is a combo of wilds (single, double or stacked) and Arthurs/Merlins/Gwens/Morgans on Reels 1,2,4 and 5 just made me sick. It's one of those slots that really "needles" me in that manner. Which is why I have stopped playing it altogether. It just got TOO frustrating on my losing sessions. Even on my break even or winning sessions, it still felt pretty damn annoying.

Ouch! If that happened to me, I'd break my computer to shreds.
Seriously ... OUCH!

I can only imagine the pain!:p:eek::D

Hi thanks for digging this one up. I had forgot all about it :D

Uhh but does make feel a bit GRRRRR again hehe. But yeah could had been so amazing if you look at setup on picture before this. Oh man just a tiny wild on middle reel and no scatter on 2nd reel. I think would had been maybe at least 5000x :o

It's bad, ain't it? :p
You always have the eyes one whatcould have been.
You'd be SOO ahead in your balance, life could been sweet for ya.
But no.....

Sorry.Don't mean to tease ya. :p:thumbsup:

I feel real sorry when i think about you closing down the game
with sick anticipation and then.. kick in the nuts4ck

It's just a horrible feeling i know too well.

Doesn't make me stop playing slots, though

Gotta beat the odds, prove those naysayers wrong :notworthy

I won't touch Avalon2 though, yuck.
Till i read this thread i thought the free game rounds would string together if you'd win. I only had the dice round and bakc then i thought if i had down i'd move on to the next round in the same freespin. THAT would have been cool though, even very hard.
I imagined the other round therefore to be paying insanely.

It's them near misses. I barely can stand the pain these days.
:(

I cant complain too much about this slot. Ive had some ok hits on it. Both base game and features. Even though I went over 2000 spins without a feature. I find when this slot goes cold, its really bad and you just have to push through it. I wonder if leaving it alone for a week might help.

Has anyone here ever won anything on the trailing wilds feature? Ive chosen this feature approx 45 times and have never got over 40x. Ill keep choosing that one over the pick the shield because I like to chase that dream hit but I just notice this one is very very very tough to hit on. Ive never even had 2 wilds start at the top of the screen at that same time.

I see they list the slot at 95% RTP. For me, it doesnt seem that bad and ive played alot of this game. I find it very hard to get an amazing base game hit on it though. I usually get alot of small to medium wins. The only time I win large is if I bet large and get lucky quickly.

For example I bet $7.50 and hit the feature pretty quick so it didnt drain me and I won $1200.00. But yeah I find thats the only way to hit a monster.

I used to like it, but the novelty fizzled out for me, it just stopped paying out well. When I first started playing it I was getting features left and right and could get to the end one giving me the big 4000x line bet or something like that. I've had decent luck with trailing wilds, easily more than 40x on occasion, and a few big hits in base game where I would have had like 27x 5 of a kind of something due to lots of wilds.

I have played Avalon 2 a lot, not so much lately , and I agree the base game wins are good, it's a pain getting past some of the rubbish bonus rounds sometimes, i still regard the the pick your bonus symbol bonus round to be the best, I have hit a 1000 times bet on this bonus round.

As for trailing wilds ( I have never picked the shield one) it's very hard to hit anything on it just like the trailing wilds on Santas wild ride.

But when you do it can go huge, like this hit I had a very long while ago it ended up as 2500 times bet roughly from what I remember, a great pity that it was only 30p bet!

But when you do it can go huge, like this hit I had a very long while ago it ended up as 2500 times bet roughly from what I remember, a great pity that it was only 30p bet!

I wouldn't put down the trailing wilds in Santas Wild Ride :), that's by far it's best feature and I have had MASSIVE wins on that feature at least a dozen times.

Nice hit there.

I can say after doing about 200,000 spins on this slot lifetime, after the dice feature they do something to the slot before the next 2 features trigger. It will take minimum 500 spins for the next one usually around 800-1200 though. And im talking every single time. Then once the trailing wild features pass the next 3 take approx 50-200
