firstly sorry if this is in the wrong section :)

i'm new to the online casino world, plqayed a bit of poker at hollywoodpoker.com - nothing much for real money - just a bit of play.

Recently I have tried to sign up to many online casino's, including AusVegas (run by a state government in Australia as many of you would know), yet once I state I am from Australia I am unable to continue registration.

Is there any online casino's which allow me to sign up - I am happy to deposit funds VIA mastercard - and even withdraw VIA masercard or a paypal type company.

I am just in need of somehting to do when I am bored at home - I live far from any real casino and thought this could be fun!

Please help someone :)

Hi Gatty, and welcome aboard - this is a great site for the sort of information you need.

Thanks to Aussie government federal legislation passed a few years back Aussies are not allowed to play on Aussie-licensed sites (although folks from other parts of the world can!)

However, there's a whole world of decent online casinos and poker rooms out there as an alternative, and I would suggest you take a look at the Casinomeister accredited casinos on this site as a starting point.

Good Luck!

Out of interest, do the Aussie licenced online casinos still have to send out the first cashout by cheque or has that been abolished?

AusVegas did a few months back...

Gatty, as Jetset said - there are 100's to chose from - just be careful to avoid the rogues.
(I haven't got ANY on my site that restrict Aussies!)

Good luck!

I went to the Bahamas on my honeymoon and was surprised to learn that natives couldnt play in the casino there either. I think they are sending us a subliminal msg that gambling is bad!
