Just got the following e-mails from one of the local Harrah's reps (who has been working in AC for the past month or so) and I am considering going to AC t-row as always impulsive but have to move fast (if health permits-flu has been a drag)....So of the 4 Harrah's choices below which would be considered the most upscale?? Sorry for being stuffy,lol!....I am a AC virgin but still would expect a top floor suite so I assume the most upscale of the 4 below prolly is best for moi!...If had a choice I would prefer Borgy but not prolly a good idea w/ Harrah's. TIA!

They just redid Ceasers, It's on the boardwalk 2 casinos away from the Trop. Harrahs is in the Marina, which means travel, so if you want a nice easy place thats not far from the tourny, stay at harrahs. If you want a bit more excitement to the trip, stay at Ceasars because it is quite nice (the staff is a bit stuffy), but in terms of a nice hotel, it is that

If you stay at Harrahs you will be next to trump marina and borgata and will have to cab it to the boardwalk to see other casinos.

Let me know where you stay and when because if you stay at Ceasars, I wanna come down and meet up with you. I can get a free room at the Trop, the only problem is getting there because im not suppose to drive. Winbig...you drive and Ill get us the room LOL....no funny stuff pal...Im happily married!!


Oops, just noticed you may come tomorrow, Rich can drive us to Atlantic City, cant get a Saturday night this fast but we come for the day unless Yvonne at the Trop is in the hotel, she may squeeze us in for a comp if its not full. let me know ASAP

If I cant get a room and just go for the day, maybe we (me and you) can go for the day (ill pay gas and tolls) if you can drive because Rich really doesnt care for going just for the day plus he doesnt really gamble and doesnt know anything about card/table games/poker etc. I can run into the Trop to get some money out to gamble with because I got a card saying there's money in the account. It looks more like Sunday huh? The plane info shows Nash not getting in until 8pm before he gets to the hotel, so Im assuming we are now talking about Sunday? Lets wait and see what Garry does and we'll go from there.

Ill look back here in the morning if not later on tonight. I was just kidding about staying in a room together (im sure you knew that lol) but Rich has no problem with us going for the day. He and I trust each other

Nash, I would suggest Harrah's with the top floor dedicated to the butler Suites...very, very nice as we have stayed in the Suites there and also at Caesars...plus the fact you have the marina right there and can check out the Bogot if you like...Harrah's also has a dedicated High Limit area where only Diamond members and above can get in so you will still have somewhat anoynimity...

It would be easier. I was surprised when you said Caesers myself but I thought maybe you wanted to see the boardwalk. Plus..you dont have to worry about travel if you stay at Harrahs. I didnt say anything about the rooms at Harrahs because I didnt know. Im glad Rob knows they are nice, I feel better. I just knew Caesars was just redone but if Harrahs has butler suites.....Nice!!!!

I hear the Northeast has been hit hard with a severe snowstorm causing travel havoc throughout. Some flights to Northeast have being cancelled here and I would think a charter flight t-row may not be a priority but really have no clue. Just checked Philly and said flight cancellations and delays up to 4 1/2 hours so moi rallying may not be an issue.....gonna check in with AC and see what is up?

We just had a few inches but there was alot of ice on the roads. We are expecting another storm but they think it might just be rain. I cant believe I didnt mention the weather, Im so sorry Nash. Im just so used to it and I didnt think of the ice on the runways. My bad! The other thing is that Atlantic City usually doesnt get hit like Philly because they are south of Philly, its usually North of Philly that gets us

Let us know, plus. if you have the flu or just getting over it, I know you go on impulse but wont being on a flight make you more sick or is the flight so short it wont matter. Just be careful, we aint going nowhere!!

A charter flight should not be an issue Nash as you would fly directly into AC...about 2 hours I believe from nashville and like Babs said it is usually not as bad weather there since it's on the caost and south of philly...

Why did I think AC was North of Philly....I thought when I came to Philly to see my old bud Jon Runyan who plays for the Eagles and I was the designated driver from South Street (iirc) aka Downtown Philly back to his home in Mt. Laurel,NJ I was driving North, maybe I should not have been the designated driver....but anyway the snowstorm is worse North of Philly so I thought I was checking South when I checked Philly flights...need a lesson in geography, where is my friend Grandmaster when I need him????

Youre not the only one who thinks that because NJ is North of PA but since it goes long ways, the South part of Jersey is South of Philly . Its not you, everybody does it. AC is 2 hours SE of D'town. We have a 50% chance of snow showers on Saturday, the sleety stuff is tonight and its suppose to be in the upper 30's so it may just be rain

I'm sorry Nash i would have loved to give you my two cents. I obviously love Ballys. The spa there is so nice. The casino is centrally located on the Boardwalk which is one reason I have always loved it.

I haven't been in a while so Babs probably knows better. I can't beleive they redid Caesers again. I REALLY want to go and meet up with you guys!

It would be alot of fun. Deb, you know Balleys is the WildWild West now right? It is really cool from the outside. Ive never stayed there but their hasnt been any renovations that I heard of. I know...I cant believe how many times Ceasars redid their place...The standards are really starting to get high if you want to be considered a first class hotel. The Borgata is the only one closest to being called 4 star. I just cant get over the snootiness at Caesars, why do they have to act like that. OMG..the mall employees dress people down all of the time and they dont even own the stores. THat's whats so funny. These people are probably making less than $15 an hour but since they work there, they think they are better. I think people who have more money are nicer than people who dont at the casinos (not everywhere, just the casinos) It just comes off as the richer people are more casual and the people who dress to the nines are the posers lol

Wow, you would prolly like old Nashville especially some of the old honky tonks downtown and as for gambling you could always play the numbers and pitch pennies (still very popular in some areas of town),lol!....Actually, I am in a residential area where I am surrounded by numerous country music stars old and new (Dolly,BandD,Vince et Amy,AJ,Tim and Faith,George Jones whose neighbor is the notorious Pacman Jones-too funny,Martina,Litttle Jimmie Dickens, Lots of the American Idol Winners/Losers including Carrie and Kelly maybe still,Many More) but they really do not act like snotty stars. The one I know the best and ran around with a little (as a friend) well she is in jail so Mindy I won't mention you,oops!!...actually very sad but a person has to want to help themselves especially given all the opportunities she has/had! (and she was snotty).

I drove across country with a friend back in '97 and we stopped in Nashville. What a great time we had! We went to The Grand Old Opry but it was closed. Kinda reminded me of National Lampoons Vacation when Wally World was closed!

That was the last Oprah I watched (I just do not watch Oprah,lol) and Mindy was telling half truths at best. At one time she was engaged to Dean Cain, thereafter dated 2 professional athletes here in NV (one NHL and the other NFL and both nice guys), then just started a path of self destruction (as Music Row also deservedly so told her to get lost after trying to help her moreso than most) including the guy where me thinks both were abusive. You may remember her comments on Oprah about her Mom and that I saw myself but still Mindy did not have to self destruct.

I wouldn't have guessed she would be snobby.

As bad as it gets. For example, 7 or 8 years ago I told Mindy one night when I went to hockey regularly to come down from the Capitol Records suite and sit with me as we had some extra seats. She said she couldn't because people would bother her (Yeah right!) Total BS as Vince and Amy sit 3 rows directly in front of me on the glass to this day and no one ever bothers them! But the funniest was the time she told me and a friend she would never sing the National Anthem at a Titan's game (as many have including Faith and Martina for example) but Mindy would only sing it at the Super Bowl! Laughing as I type and I always will!
