Some providers like RTG and Nextgen tend to avoid childish themes, as do Novomatic and IGT. I wouldn't count Marvel slots say as childish in the same manner. It definitely seems to be a European thing.

Anyway, this part is not towards you but in general: it dates as far back as the first land-based machines back in the day: those flashing magical boxes were openly visible to kids, because they could be found in all kinds of establishments. It was then, when people should have started asking these kind's of questions..Don't you think the grannies and grampies that you see now, filling the land-based Casino's rows of oldtimer slots and penny machines, are those kids from back then? I do! So there's a thing that really hasn't changed, save for the graphics and advanced technology.
By letting children play with videoconsoles and handhelds from an early age on, like we do this day and age, when they pretty much can get internet anywhere, for free, and are even better/smarter in using them then the adults that bought them for 'em, and of course less responsible and world wise, we are making it near impossible to protect these kids from 'evil' content such as discussed.
They will see things many of us haven't even seen yet..
What i guess i am trying to say is, that we shouldn't really be asking these questions about what the slots providers intent is, but rather what the hell is going on with, or become of our next generation. To be blunt: If we seemingly allow crap in our lives left and right, how can we really expect our kids to avoid it? They see dads, mums and sisters and friends gambling their last pennies away, abuse people physically and mentally about race, sexuality, accidental scenarios, or just for the fuck of it, smoke, drink and drug their way into the abyss, blaspheme, pray to unseen entities, and the list goes on..
If you don't have any of the above in your daily life or surroundings, chances are you will be sitting on the couch watching it, in the form of reality tv.
Kids will have to filter all that shit that they see and live through daily, for years, and manage to build a stable character with a good sense of right and wrong despite it, to be prepared to see some more of it, for the next 60 to 100 years to come..
It sounds depressing if you put it like that, but on the whole, it's actually pretty much just like it has always been before.
