I like the way this game works and wondered are there any others similar, 6 bags/coins and X lives which refill when another bag/coin drops in on the bonus?

Chilli Heat Megaways is a variation on the “hold and win” concept, which also goes by other names. The provider Playson makes a bunch of games like this (available in UKGC licensed casinos). The provider 3OAKS also make a bunch of these games but you’re going to have to go offshore to find this provider. Obviously the non Megaways version of Chilli Heat also has this mechanism.

Lots of Pragmatic Play games, made in collab with Reel Kingdom has this Hold & Spin feature/mechanics.

Some of the previous years titles:

There are also Prag titles like Wolf Gold and Gold Party. Gold Party is particularly fun as you get four sets of reels to collect on in the bonus, although it is very hard to trigger.

The Big Bass and Floating Dragon games use a slightly different mechanic as you don’t hold further coins that land. Only the ones you got to trigger the bonus. Similar concept though.

I have to say though that none of these games treat me particularly well.

You are right, but at least whenever new coins hit the reels, values of all triggering coins are readded to the winning pot together with newly landed coin values, while in case of the Chilli Heat Megaways - only values from newly landed cash bags are added to the winning pot with each respin

I inspired myself to have a spin on Gold Party and managed to get the bonus. A 42x win isn’t great but it’s better than nothing.

I have tried playing a similar game by Pragmatic Play since I've explored some *snip* reviews about this game provider . If you're familiar with Big Bass Bonanza Megaways it has the same concept, I also enjoyed other pragmatic games like 888 Dragons slot. I'm currently looking for new games to play, anyone have a suggestion for unique slots?
