Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone has had ANY luck at Rival? I can't win there anymore for anything. They really have had to tighten their machines. I would so love to try somewhere else, but I'm so limited as to where I can play because I live in New York. Where is that Thunderstruck game that I see snapshots of? I'm just curious if I should keep playing at Rival, it seems these last six weeks have been really bad.
Thanks.

HeidiSue, I have had my share of big wins (big for me anyway) and my share of really bad dry spells. Look at my win pic posted today. It can happen. Just gotta kiss a lot of frogs before you get a prince, so to speak.

I cashed out $900 at Slotocash this morning and by this afternoon it was in my QT account. No problem with their pays.

Unfortunately I haven't had any luck. I'm guilty of winning and not finding the cashout, but I had the worst experience ever last week, where I put in $800 or so and nothing, nadda, zilch...and yes, I realize how rediculous that sounds. Scary Rich is a bitch nowdays. I don't even know WHAT'S going on with that game. I'm not giving up on Rival, but if something doesn't change FAST, people will start running to other softwares.

Ok, now to answer your other question...Thunderstruck is an MG game. Do you play at MG casinos or have you just missed TS somehow?

The only time their slots payed out anything good for me, I was on a $10 free chip that had a max cashout. I ended up cashing out for the full $100, but ended up playing off $500 extra just to get $12 in comps.

I cashed out $100 on a $25 freebie and $800 on a $10 freebie. Both today. They were both no max cashout. But like I said, I have puckered up to a lot of frogs. :D

Soooo, send the frogs this way. I think you just got the money I sank in last week ...and I'm thinkin' I'm wantin' it back :p

Is it just me, or are a lot of people reporting huge wins off of free chips that have a max. cashout from Rival casinos?

Seems sort of fishy to me. Personally, I've never hit anything on Rival games before I got my balance up to $500 from my $10 chip at Superior. For instance, my last $50D+$50B lasted about 30 minutes never betting over .60 a spin. My last $50D+$100B lasted about 15 minutes at no more than $1 a spin.

I heard you got a new car? Congrats:thumbsup: When you started thinking about that model, or shortly after buying it, did you notice a lot more of them on the road?

I gotta tell ya... I tried to go back over a lot of threads from when I left and I couldn't stomach them. There seemed to be this contingent of constant losers and whiners. Here's my point.. grain of salt, thick skin, turned stomach -cry wolf, whatever. It was like a cloud of crap obscuring what might be legitimate questions or complaints to me.

Can we educate the audience? Variance is the word. There are websites that do the work for us.. they can check out simmos or kk's sites for instance. If i want my deposit to last all night I play a low variance slot (and if at Rival, check the help page for stated payout percentage of the day:eek:) and roll with less than 1% of my starting bankroll. If i want in and out quick, win or lose, I'll choose a high variance slot and play at least 5% of my starting bankroll.

The other word is rogue.

Yup, I have... but unfortunately most of it has been bad! :p
I don't think their slots are any tighter (or looser) than any other software, but like all the others you need to be very patient.
Unfortunately all the great screen-shots of Scary Rich do not help - that game is a real high variance bitch, and I'm sure most of those shots only represent a partial return on a large investment!
I have lost loads & NEVER hit anything really decent on it (e.g. never had 3 vamps) :(

What slots do you play mostly?

As she is in New York she can't play ANY MG (for real money) :(

At This Is Vegas

Received a $11.00 no deposit bonus and played the Cleopatra slot...actually had it up to about $600.00...was getting the bonus and free spins within the free spins like crazy. Unfortunatly I can only withdraw $111.00. Its the only time I've had any luck with those slots but not bad for a freebie.

Especially on a machine set to 87% High variance in a nutshell:thumbsup: Congrats.

"High Variance"...really seems to be the most popular word associated with the word "Slot" or "Slots" around here for the past several months now...

That word wasn't even in the vernacular here several years ago...WTF, what has become of the all the fair payback slots...make a deposit with your hard earned money and expect a little entertainment value and a little bang for your buck, what the hell ever happened to that train of thought...

Have most of the casinos became this greedy now that they have to mix these so called "High Variance Slots" into the general Slot mix now in order to come out ahead of the player on a consistent basis now ??

I'm a bit confused by your statement there Rob
Variance has absolutely nothing to do with the overall payback % of the slot, so casinos are not 'being greedy' by offering them.

It's up to the player to decide if they want to play for ages with lots of little wins, or for a short time in the hunt for a mega hit. Freedom of choice.

The only problem is that casinos don't tell players what is high & low variance - that's left to people like Simmo, Zoozie, me & other members here to advise. But bear in mind our opinions are mostly subjective and that low variance slots can sometimes give 'high variance' results & vice-versa...

If you want a long period of good entertainment for your money play Tomb Raider 2 - you ain't never gonna win big but it's very pretty & your cash will last ages! (At low coins & max lines).

High variance is good for the player. When I do get a good hit I rather get enough of a win to cash out rather than lots of small ones I'll just play back.

Higher Variance also means that your money goes down the drain faster in the search of that elusive big win. Coupled with a 87% payback, if you dont hit your monster win early enough you will be chasing your losses till infinity.

Yeah, in the last two years, I've become really limited as to where I can play. Seems to be only Rival or RTG. I can play at Millionaire and English Harbour too. But anyway, to answer your question, I've been stuck on Fantasy Fortunes for about 2 months. Just can't get that game out of my system, even though it has taken all my money, LOL.

Hmmm, makes you wonder....

As I wait for my payout at SS since Mar 14th, I stick with my conviction that I will absolutely put no more money in unless (a) things loosen up (b) I get my money. Sadly I have been playing in free mode just to get my fix. Well, yesterday I was playing Fantasy Fortune and on the bonus I went farther than I ever had before, winning 140 bucks @ .60 role. Then I played the 3 slot Gold Rush and won 90 bucks@ .75 roll. Next I hit the bonus and 70 bucks on .60 role on Love or Money. Of course during the whole time I was playing the screen popped up and asked me if I wanted to play for real money! I don't care what anybody says, I am convinced those slots are tighter. I have found in Rival as a general rule , if a slot isn't hitting I go on to the next. I return in a few hours and seem to have a better chance of it hitting. There are times I get nothing, but most of the time the cycle is pretty consistent. Now, like so many others have stated, nada. Also, before when I hit a run of bad luck, I quit but then in a short while, talked myself into playing again, and it usually paid off. Like I have stated before, I realize the casinos have the advantage, and this is especially true of slots. But this is just plain no fun at all. I always loved the online slots because the payout is better than the land casinos. I NEVER have the kind of luck at a land casino that I do online. Or should I say, did, online. Very frustrating and dissappointing. JMHO

What I want to do is bet high coins & max lines and be able to win big like I could back a couple of years ago, I'm just really freaking frustrated that all the software platforms have tightened up so much since UIGEA and the US pullout and I know that others here still don't believe that they have and that is fine...but I know for a fact that all the ones that I have played on for the past five years now have tightened up beyond belief to what they used to be back before UIGEA, and really it only makes common sense belief to think they have because of the revenue loss that they all suffered by the US pullout,,

If all of their operating budgets and overhead were based on taking in a certain amount of revenue well they had to make up for that some way or the other and I just feel like that some way or the other is showing up now in their payback percentages...and that is the other reason I believe they have introduced more high variance slots over the last couple of years as with the high variance your odds are more likely to lose larger amounts of money faster if you tend to make larger bets than they are to have more decent wins more often with normal sized bets because of the variance and combination of payback percentage tied into this formula....

Absolutely true in the sense you state but in an unregulated industry who knows what high variance and/or payback percentages ((with the exception of a few cases where the reels were able to be accurately plotted and simulated by players...were some not weighted also???,hummm)) really means other than TRUST ME/US and hell, studies (not that they are needed) have proven must do not even trust some of their immediate family, but there is some rational logic/reason on the net of all places for "IF BOZO SAYS IT IS SO, IT IS SO" to apply....a cynical post, maybe!!....a rational post, who cares???
