Angel Casino - any knowledge about them ???

The virus they planted in the minesteringangel casino download, is a very bad one. So bad in fact that a lot of the anti-virus programs out there are not catching it and if they do catch it, they can't remove it, as it constantly morphs. We had a hell of a time getting out of our test box, we ended up wipeing the HD to finally get rid of it.

:D

Lotso.....Is this a virus or a trojan? People who downloaded this software should take very seriously what you said above. I'm concerned that people may think they are in the clear just because their virus software gives them a clean reading. A clean reading by one virus software does not guarantee that everything is hunky dory and if it's a trojan then they may be looking at needing something besides just different scans by antivirus software, they may need software specifically for trojan removal or else have it cleaned by a pro. I don't mean to scare you Mystic.....and who ever else downloaded the software, until you find out exactly what you are dealing with do not consider your computer or yourself in the clear yet.

Thanks bb, but I consider myself anything BUT in the clear.
First scan showed clear.. but I am not done yet. I have had trojan problems in the past as you might recall.. and even live support was getting booted off when they came anywhere near catching the problem. (which hijacked my email and was sending masses of spam FROM my email address:eek:.) I have also had systems completely disabled from trojans in the past (before I learned much, much more about computers, etc.)
so I do know first hand just how much it can hurt.

Thank you for the heads up and concern. It's greatly appreciated!:notworthy

Here is some info on the Trojan 'legendmir' that has been found in the minesterangel casino software download.

You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

This Trojan is listed as "Dangerous"
Legendmir belongs to Password Capturer spyware category.

AVG Pro and NOD32 found it but neither could remove it.

*DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS CASINO SOFTWARE*

Just a tidbit of info for those who aren't familiar with the seamier side of the WWW ...Please be aware that a good ('good' meaning well written) Trojan can sit on your system quietly, not degrading system resources but transmitting your passwords, logins, cc #'s etc, to the 'base' computer. The hackers thereby gain access to all your accounts, which can be emptied (especially poker accounts where money can easily be transfered between players). Sometimes the goal is not necessarily to gain access to your money, but to gain an avenue to launder their crooked money (or sell the info to someone else who needs to 'wash' money).

It's a very nasty business.

i informed moneybookers yesterday (i also posted the url to this thread) to consider removing this casino from the "best gaminbling promotions", mb wrote back, that appropriate actions have been taken in order to investigate the merchant.

Probably means they will ask the merchant for some "more documentation" to prove they are legit.
It will take a proven example to fall on the desk of the FSA to stir Moneybookers into action. It seems many of these eWallets will accept pretty much anyone as a merchant if they keep up with the payments, regardless of whether they are legit, or scamming customers. Unlike Credit Cards, they are not legally jointly responsible when things go wrong between customer and merchant.
IF it can be proven to court standards that Royal Flamingo Corp is nothing more than a shell used to extract sensitive personal data, then Moneybookers WILL be in trouble for lending this outfit with a degree of credibility by actually ADVERTISING them through their promotions pages. They might be acting illegally also due to Ministering Angel not being licenced by a UK Whitelisted juristiction, simply because they are not merely allowing them to be a merchant, but because they have placed an advertisement for them in the form of a promotion. It would be necessary to lodge a complaint with the Advertising Standards Agency that the advertisement breaches the rules, and this would rest with how Moneybookers are regarded, are they advertising to the EU, or simply having a banner on a GLOBAL facing website. The same dilemma faces EU based websites who are affiliates, can they promote non Whitelisted casinos? I don't think this has been tested by an actual legal case/complaint, although various legal interpretations have been offered.

Still in shock with flamingo what a way to represent a new opening of a casino.
Just makes you want to jump up and join. lol
Its a business just like any other business you rely on customers word of mouth and how you treat your customers clients and so on. Normally most would treat with politeness and respect in return that is what you get back. For a new casino a website such as this to join and participate in can make or break a new business, what a catch here if you did things right. Instead the casino sent forth
a spokes person who not only seems to have very little knowledge of whats going on at this opening of the casino, but is also prone to a temper add this together and this new venture of theirs wont last 6 months. Maybe if they take a closer look best avenue would be close down fix the bugs take out the trash and have a grand opening without all these sour grapes. Us gamblers more so are a forgiving group so clean your act up fix the bugs, SAY YOUR SORRY.
And lets start anew.

IMO..........Flamingo's transgressions were much too serious to be fixed by saying I'm sorry and all is forgiven.
Fraud, CC and logo theft for starters.
Theft of someone's else's content, Belle Rock's T&C's
Virus and trojan laden software. These are the things that we are sure of......and who the hell knows what else there might be that we don't know about?
Sorry wouldn't even begin to cover it and if there was some new venture it should be treated with nothing but disdain!

Lauram.....I'm not picking on you, but this is serious stuff. Sorry is NOT going to cut it.

Let us not forget .. the winnings that you actually can't get! :D

The constitutional democratic republic of Panama, the most important financial center in Central America, has an impressive history of international banking and services jurisdiction. It has a fully regulated body of internet gaming laws of the highest standard, comparable to the gaming laws of the Isle of Man, which means that the Igaming entrepreneur can open a gambling website and continue to be on the right side of US law.
Other people describe Panama as a haven for money laundering.

That's what I find so surprising. It took a few webmasters and players about fifteen minutes to figure out this was shady material.

Now Moneybookers need to worry about any of their customers who end up having their Moneybookers accounts "hacked" and emptied.

There have been a number of claims made here that players have had their eWallet accounts hacked and emptied. In every case, the eWallet provider has taken the position that the victim must have compromised their login information, and thus it was their fault.

Here, we have direct evidence that there is practically NO "due dilligence" of a merchant UNTIL concerns are brought to their attention, at which point they may act after an "investigation". Meanwhile, the "horse" can be seen running off into the sunset as they struggle with the stable door:rolleyes:

This makes it quite likely that a considerable proportion of these victims did nothing more than trust their eWallet provider when it comes to them deciding which merchants are going to be allowed to accept deposits through their services. Given that Moneybookers were actually promoting Angel, there have to be a number of players who have deposited via Moneybookers before all this came to light.
If any of them are reading this, do NOT wait for Moneybookers, change any account details formerly used with Angel to prevent them using the information to make further debits from the account. The password should be the quickest and easiest thing to change, however this would not be enough (certainly would not be with Neteller). One (at least) of the security items typed in, or stored, with the merchant also needs to be changed. With Neteller, this would be the 6 digit security code. Changing the eWallet registered Email address should also be done, although this is the hardest, as you have to ensure they match with the ones registered at the legitimate casinos.
Neteller was also accepted by Angel, but there was no promotion as far as I could see.

It seems they are not going to remove their site, so they must think there is still value there despite the expose here.

We just have to hope this thread finds it's way into the Google top 10, and stays there.

VWM, is there anything we can do (besides posting here) to make sure that happens?

Yes,

Linking to it from other websites, such as other gambling fora.

Make certain that the other fora allow this though.

It is likely that this news is moving fast, and other gambling related portals are already discussing this. If any are found, they could be linked to from within this thread, and vice versa. This will make it much more difficult for the team behind Angel to do anything about it - they are said to be VERY good coders.

Would you allow it on your site? Might be a really good reason to update it to the present......just a thought.........and you'd have to modify your sig. and the venture might require a road trip....

It would be allowed;)

I don't have a forum though, no point really, too many forums divide us players up, and we need to stick together.

I am intending to have an online casino section though. Currently, it has been rendered obsolete by the unfortunate incident with Tusk & Casino Action.

I would first have a "useful links" section, and there are already two candidates, one being Casinomeister.

I would also like to link to other sites about Fruit Machines and Motorway Service stops.

I originally started the site to see if I could teach myself some skills. This has worked in part, but the internet has moved on, and I will have to learn new skills. It might be easier to find a better web authoring product that would simplify the process. Currently, I have an old copy of Dreamweaver, and it lacks support for many of the newer features used in webpages that make them attractive.

On top of this, I have to gather the data, and this has so far meant getting in the car and seeing for myself. This has changed recently though, and the websites for most Motorway service stations carry far more than they used to, but the issue is then one of copyright. I have to put anything I find into my own words, I cannot simply cut & paste wholesale from their sites. Interestingly, if I photograph them myself, I hold the copyright, even if the photo is of something they don't want me to have on the site (such as filthy toilets). Digital cameras are a good deal smaller now, and one problem was listing the machine data without getting "spotted" by security - not that they really cared much, but they might get a little worried that I was casing the place for a robbery:eek: - they have been prime targets in the past.

Google Search:

ministeringangel (as one word) - This thread is on first page, about 4th listing

Ministering Angel Casino - first page, third from bottom listing

Angel Casino - first page, next to last listing

So this thread is getting indexed very well with Google.

Maybe it does work to continue typing "Google top 10 threads" here :D
It can't hurt! I would love to see "ministering Angel casino" aka "Angel Casino" shut down! The more people who become infomed about Flamingo, his Scams and rip offs. The faster it will disappear!
(I hope:thumbsup:)

Any one noticed in flamingos "About me" area he writes

https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/members/

At least even he agrees Angel casino is not the best :lolup:

Interesting. He joined last year, but was dormant until this Ministering Angel episode, and his 14 posts have all been on this thread.

Looks like Ministering Angel has been around for quite a while, but managed to keep under our rogue-radar till this month.

Maybe Mr.Flamingo was more than super affiliate for Belle Rock. By admission he/she stated:

Flamingo

I was one of belle rock's (referback's) super affiliates, wich you can check with them if you have any contacts there. (i'l be glad and proud to give you my aff#)

Anyway here is the aff tag for those who are curious for gamblinginfo.com aff59598.

Submitting a spam report to Google maybe the ticket in getting the site removed. Deceptive doorway page leading to a page carrying a virus, class Trojan.

Take the aff tag aff59598 use Google search and you may find this interesting.

Outdated URL (Invalid)

Also stated:

flamingo

i own and was operating a domain gamblinginfo.com, wich was shut down with US legislation.

I beg to question, how many webmasters sites were shut down because of UIGEA, very few if not any.

Thanks:thumbsup:

mb has removed angel casino from their best gaming promotions: Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)

Ministering Angel casino was still advertised at Moneybookers for more than 3 weeks. There might be a good number of people who deposited there. The question is, does Moneybookers take any resposibility of possible lost funds in this situation? I definitely think they should be held liable.
