About the states that have laws...

I just saw a thread about the banned states. So, since these states have specific laws do people actually get arrested? How would they you were gambling online? I don't get why they would have specific laws against it when the federal law is more about going after the casinos/processors? I guess I still find it all confusing since these states have laws but you never hear about people getting arrested or fined for gambling online. Just curious since I saw that other thread.

Washginton State has the strongest anti online gambling law, I believe. Get caught and they'll lock up the player with rapists and armed robbers.... Of course, (IMHO) these laws are not meant to protect players from the eee-villes of online gambling, they're to protect the B&M casinos from losing money to online casinos/poker rooms.
