Poll A Show of Hands Please - June's CM Comp!

Hi all, as we near the end of the month, my thoughts turn to next month's Casinomeister Competition. Normally as you know these feature a €1,000 prize pool.

However, for next month seeing as June sees the start of the World Cup, I am thinking of running it over the duration of the said World Cup.

Therefore it would kick off on the 11th June and finish on 19th July, the date of the World Cup Final. In doing do, the prize pool would be €2,000 - as the comp will cover both June and July.

So what I want to know is, yay or nay!

Ok so I’m the only party pooper so far voting no, but this is mainly because, 1 it depends on the format really, because if your unlucky it’s two months in one, 2 not everyone likes football, and it’s probably going to be football related, 3 I think the monthly time frames work well.

Probably wont enter.

But as its generous comps for the members that we never used to get then think any format you use would be suitable.

Lucky that each month there are competitions available so if you want to change the duration then that's fine. Be something different and as its competitions you don't have to run dont see how anyone could say they aren't happy with the changes.

I like having something to sweat for the month personally as 2 seperate competitions. That being said you could have a requirement be football related slots only or something so it's not a ton of hacksaw/pragmatic titles being played or trigger 5 free spin rounds on football games(max 5 entries) etc so it's not all big win related which some are getting sick of.

Voted No too for very similar reasons.

Could be persuaded to change my mind I suppose if I fluke something from the currently running Target Challenge comp tho

I think football themed slots will narrow it down too much. What do we have, like 5? How about we extended it to having to play slots in one way or the other representing one of the qualified nations, like England would be Punk Rocker, or the hooligan one from BGaming, France would be Le Bandit, Curacao would be Club Tropicana, Norway would be Le Viking, Mexico would be something Aztec, USA would be TrumpIt, Greece would be Gates of Olympus, Brazil would be Copacabana, Senegal would be something Voodoo etc. Just a thought

Yes, agree that footie themed slots will make it very narrow. I will be working on this over the Bank Holiday Weekend. But I think with a bit of imagination, we could come up with a decent comp tied in with the World Cup

Also be interested to know if the idea of the top three prizes being 'large' would be of interest?

Well as I have always said before I prefer less top heavy prizes, as it allows for more winners overall and feel that’s a better fit overall for the CM community as a whole rather than just a few big winners. While we all would love bigger prizes, I prefer the community spirt of more lower prizes on offer. But that’s just me, sure some will prefer a more all or nothing approach ( greedy b@s!#ds ) lol

I think it'd be far more engaging if you spread out the prize pool as much as possible, then everyone would feel they'd be in with a shot at a decent reward. The bragging rights alone of 1st place is a great prize in itself.
