A predictable trend with the big bass, big catch fishing slots, thoughts?

So, yes, some of you may have seen my screenshot in the wins thread hitting the max horse on day at the races with a x2 last week for £2k max 5000x win. I’m not ungrateful, and it was the biggest buzz I’ve ever had on online slots. But let’s face it, it’s rare and will likely be a one off. What I want to discuss, and get people’s opinions on, is the predictable nature of these slots.

Now, slot machines in casinos or online are said to be random. But I notice the same trends over and over again whilst spinning these bad boys. Here’s some of the things I’ve noticed on the following games;

Big catch bass fishing (Christmas edition and normal original)

- you can hit a bonus pretty quickly. It then takes you to the upgrade screen to pick an upgrade. Of course you want to land the gold collect, but I would honestly say 9 times out of 10, even though there’s ten upgrades to choose from, you will get ‘re-spin’. It is for me, the worst upgrade. The wild fisherman may come down once, twice if you’re lucky with respin. And often there’s barely any fish to accompany the wild. You will almost certainly land a wild if there’s no fish on the screen.

- if you land ‘extra free games’ usually this is 2 games. Sometimes 5. But you can bet your bottom dollar those extra spins will run out without a single fisherman wild. So you may as well just start with 10 spins and ignore the extra games you’ve won. Again, this happens 90% of the time with me.

The big bass series (I play golden lakes, day at the races, return to the races)

Every single big bass slot I play follows the same (somewhat negative) trend.
You will land three scatters very quickly, often on the respin. The game ALWAYS pays at LEAST 10x. So you know if you haven’t hit a wild man in the first 8 spins of your 10, you’re effectively guaranteed a wild man on your last couple of free games. I had a check on several sites of my replays, and the most common win was 22x. In the last 5 weeks alone, I’ve counted 27 bonus wins at 22x. Not much from 30p stakes. Back to the base game, you’ll hit another three scatters pretty quickly after the first. You then won’t hit another for some 100+ spins. This again, happens probably 90% of the time I play.

- Random slots they say, far from it in my opinion. The pattern of the slots are just so regular, you can almost predict the dead spin after spin on the game and where your next mini win is going to come from. I call them almost all of the time. Of course there are the exceptions, but not in a month of Sundays are these slots ‘random’. Random would mean you’d hit the higher paying symbols in a row of 5 at least once in a blue moon. I can’t remember the last time I hit 4.

Fishing frenzy (big splash, megaways)

I find these incredibly addictive, far more so than any other slot I play. Hitting the three scatters is bliss. But then it takes you into the feature, here’s what I’ve noticed, time and time again.

- fisherman wilds will drop in, with no fish. Ten spins, more often than not I won’t land a single fish with the wilds. I cannot tell you how many times, countless, I’ve had winless features on the fishin frenzy franchise. I just don’t know how they get away with it, but whilst we’re still playing them, we effectively justify it for them.

- landing four scatters (rare) gives 15 spins. I honestly believe this puts you at a disadvantage than hitting three and having 10 spins. Again, can’t tell you how many times I’ve had winless games from four scatters.

More unusual catch slot

The biggest scam going from any slot I’ve played. Have never landed a single bonus and have probably had in excess of 2000 spins on this slot. Has anyone else played this and ever hit three scatters? I truly believe it’s near impossible. There’s volatile, and there’s volatile.

I want a move away from the fishing slots and fishing franchise games. There are easy on the eye, easy to listen to and I can see why people are drawn into them. Are there any other franchises or games people would recommend, blueprint, pragmatic. Whatever it be, but there has to be a better slot out there for more regular returns.

Thanks for reading if you got this far! I’m sure many will disagree and state slots are completely random and you could land two jackpots back to back. I’m sure there’s some truth in that, but the above ‘stats’ are honest representations of what I see on a weekly basis on these fishing slots.

I’ve not played long but I like goonies and I also like cops n robbers megaways, I enjoyed big bass splash and did get a x1000 on worms reload which is when I spotted my balance had become huuuuge and thought it was a glitch whilst jetpack bonus played on! only played fishin frenzy once which was a bit dead altho I hit a bonus I found it boring tbh 👀 🥱

Unfortunately most machines are now random but scripted bonus/features. Takes you completely out of the moment when you know the 1024x multiplier will, 99% of the times, result in all dead spins, or the police will move 5 times in a row to catch you from a good position on cops and robbers, and the base games are getting farcical as well now.

Here’s a bunch of decent amounts on the reels? Let’s tease for that collect symbol on the last reel just one more time shall we? I mean nothing says, “oh just F off” like a tease failing to be a tease because it never comes in.

Of course its random. It's just that the model churned out a zero return and you will have seen the graphic for that.

Every slot will leave you a couple of pence short when you get down to a certain amount and just before that the reels will show 2 scatters happens on every slot it’s a program

I would urge you to stay the hell away from Slots Temple. It is by far the worst casino I’ve ever played at. I haven’t had a win of note now in months on there. Never had a big win, ever since I started playing slots.

They draw you in with the highest RTP graphics on every game, but I’ve had far better luck elsewhere.

The scamming bas**RDs have actually now frozen my account pending review after I emailed them asking to see my recent RTP results, because it’s been nothing short of abysmal.

This is where the corruption is...

ANYTHING you "ask" of them, is considered and deemed worthy enough to "suspend" - There clearly hiding everything, they dont want anyone poking around, coming to conclusions or accusations of unfair play.

Ive had my account suspended at 3 casinos for asking the exact same thing and honestly, its an even more waste of time to fight against it, its pointless, useless and pathetic.

And honestly - RNG IS a real thing, but its NOT "Random number generator" in the way we all believe.

Its a RNG selected from there POOL of choices....the belief made is everything is just "RNG", bollocks, if that really was the case casinos would be bankrupt lol.

Tons of vids on youtube explaining it from people in the business and there was 1 specifically by a guy whos actually one of the ones behind the creation/making of the slots and even he admitted the same thing.

At the end of the day every single one of us here know were all fucking suckers falling for a silly scheme that has no intention of doing what we all *expect* it to do.

Its been this way for years now and not only is it not going to change anytime soon, but evidence shows its actually just going to get worse.

New TAX increase for casinos = more ways for them to now think of recouping the mass losses in there profit margin, you honestly think there gonna give out more wins now? We wish....

With 92% almost becoming the norm its got to a point where its just becoming.....mundane.

(Speaking for the UK ruleset btw!)

i wouldnt mind if the big bass series comes to an end.
always the same in slightly different clothes.

pp should use the big bass team to develeop something new but probably its one person only so thats not going to happen

I believe it's time for another big bass megaways game with added features. Keep the basic trigger structure and upgrade levels but also add features from other big bass games. That's the only way pp can make it exciting. Max win over 20kx.
And no super scatter please.

Exactly! The same bearded dude in many different themes and the same disappointing "one scattered left in order to retrigger but becomes dead throughout the free spins" nonsense.
