97.8% RTP slots - did you know about them?

Hi all,

It's recently come to my attention that the HE/RTP for the Fishy Fortunes Net Entertainment game seems to change. I currently list the HE as 2.1% and this was checked at all venues listed on my site within the last year. This figure is still being used at PAF. However, one of the forum members on another board has pointed out to me that both Betsson and Unibet currently list this game at 4.6%.

At first i suspected that these figures changed automatically at each casino as the progressive jackpot went up and down. As this isn't a joint network, but rather each casino has their own jackpot this corrolates with the PAF figure as currently they're offering a far higher jackpot than either Betsson or Unibet (the PAF jackpot is over €600 whereas the others are around the €200 mark). However this doesn't add up as while the jackpots at both Betsson and Unibet are realitively close together at the moment, they're not the same and as such shouldn't produce the same HE figure.

I've several ideas as to why this may be the case;

  • a NetEnt update that PAF hasn't got round to dealing with
  • heavy handed rounding leading to casinos with similar jackpots listing the same figure
  • software set only to change the HE figure at pre-determined levels

If anyone here has other suggestions i'd be glad to hear them. It is worth noting that the NetEnt site lists the HE as 4.6% with a jackpot set at the seeding level, which may suggest that this figure is for the lowest jackpot possible.

Over and above this i'd welcome the forum members here keeping an eye on the NetEnt figures and updating if you see any abnormailities. I would like to work out whether NetEnt change these settings from time to time, or whether these figures do change with jackpot size.

Thanks in advance for any help with this
