All my Rivals had 60 updates when I fired them up today and I was playing them last night so all of these had to occur in the past 18 hours. It would be nice if they gave us some clue as to what these might be like 3DICE does. I mean 60 updates? What did they do update every single slot? Any ideas? I did win $1300 last night at rival and considering the lsoing streak Ive been on maybe they needed to "fix" the slots. Just a little rant, I mean if youa re going to post it right there for us to see "60 UPDATES" then at least give a clue as to what they are. They could just do one BIG update and we would most likely never ask any questions.

PD

At least they're not taking after Microsoft. If it was a MS product, there would be another 75 updates to update the 60 you just installed.

Providing it does not become so cumbersome the player has to wait ages to log in, on a regular basis.

Many of these updates will be minor security fixes and general housekeeping updates for various things that will have nothing to do with the games itself.
Casinos will also integrate their software with other internal software so they can run their business efficiently. With a fluid environment such as gambling, it is hardly surprising there are so many updates.

I do however think as these updates are being downloaded onto my computer I would like to know what they are. Even just a rough summary would suffice. Especially as I have no choice other than to download them. Unfortunately all casino updates are mandatory, unlike software such as MS Windows which you do have a choice, you also have a choice of when you want to download and install updates.

This is unusual because with most software on the net you can still run it without updates, it just means you have an older version. Therefore the only way to ensure all players are playing the latest version of the software all in synchronisation, is to have mandatory updates.

Mike
