5 Aces?!?!?

I just looked over the image in photoshop, and it's legit.

The cards would have been easy to fake, but the chat would be near impossible to fake.

Has anyone seen any sort of response from PS regarding this?

i had a similar incident. i was big blind got dealt 4h,8h. flop was 3 hearts. someone goes all in, i fold low flush. someone called. winner had Ah,8h. two 8 hearts! had sworn i'd experienced this once or twice before but this time i was positive. hand history confirmed it. happened at pokerstars.

It's a fake. On Link Removed ( Old/Invalid) someone asked PokerStars about it:

Hello Tomas,

Thank you for your Email. We have seen this before, and can say with
certainty that the image there is a fake.

T# 14705493 was the $10 + $1 Deep Stacks tournament held on 12th
November 2005. The top four players in this event were:

"gamblinfla"
"MiketheKid2"
"twiceasright"
"witzy2004"

The player "Big Devin" didn't take part in this tournament.

Next, you can see the observer "style12" in chat on the table. "style12"
is not a User ID on our database as of June 2006 -- he doesn't exist.

There are also two hands mentioned here. One is # 3044245011 and the
other # 3044243120. I've attached them both below so that you can see
the hands as they originally happened. As you can see, the chip
stacks are totally consistent from one hand to the next. Further
more, "Big Devin" didn't take part.

Finally, it is clearly demonstrable that the image has been edited.
Attached please find a closeup of several of the cards on the screen.
If you look closely, you'll see that the ace of clubs is one pixel too
high
. The prankster that tried to run this hoax was not quite careful
enough with his editing and left this evidence behind.

I hope that this sets your mind at ease, but if you have further queries,
please do not hesitate to let us know.

The middle ace is a pixel too high, which would never happen if it were legitimate.

I've seen this before too. Notice how long ago the hand #'s were too. I don't think it would have taken this long. Also if one really wanted to fake this they could replace a few cards with aces in their image files and then the board would have looked more legit.

That's an idea for a new PS theme - make all the cards aces, and call it the "All Aces" theme... then you would have to guess what's an ace and what isn't...

To make the chat box look more realistic they should have had at least one player saying "fish" since thats all they ever say.

Heres one thats not a fake....microgamings example of a 4 of a kind win. It's just stupid

Haha good spot - just checked it myself. LOL.

Back in my early gambling days, I encountered a game where I held 2 aces in carribean poker and was beaten by the dealer's 3 of a kind (aces). I forgot to take a screenshot and the casino (Roman Casino) flatly denied that the software allowed for that.
