Afternoon Casinomeister!

Today is the general release (across the Yggdrasil platform) of our latest game 4 Fantastic Fish, after a very successful exclusive period at Entain's brands (Party Casino, Coral, Ladbrokes, BWIN etc) 4 Fantastic Fish features our Cash Ways mechanic and prizes up to 20,000x your bet!

Fish symbols create ways wins with cash prizes – the prizes grow bigger and bigger left to right, with 4 Big Game Jackpots: BIG, SUPER, MEGA, and ULTRA!

4 Fantastic Fish comes in 3 RTP flavours 94%, 96% + German specific. As always this is clearly displayed on the splash screen.

Lock and collect Fish cash prizes in the Respin bonus – how many Fish symbols can you catch? Fill up a reel and the Shark will combine the prizes and multiply by 2x, freeing up space to catch more fish! Watch out for the Giant Squid, which will swap Fish in the base game and in the Respin bonus to create bigger wins! We think it's the ultimate

Yggdrasil slots are reviewed at Casinomeister - and so are their casinos.
Like the look of this one. So many fishing games these days however - what's the bonus frequency like? (Let's talk the 96% version, not the chiselling versions.)

Unibet have taken this at 96%, rather surprisingly.

I've given it a decent kick about in demo play and alas it's another high volatility monster (in fairness the loading screen and rules do make this clear), the base game gobbles through your balance like a possessed Pac Man and it wasn't landing the feature so I did some feature buys. The feature is a respin type affair with a couple of little twists and the returns seem reasonably balanced.

It's a lovely looking and sounding slot, but me and HV don't get along so it's a pass when it comes to playing it with real funds.

On the whole I rather like 4ThePlayer's output in terms of aesthetics and design, but the fixation with HV is a turn off.

Played the 94% version at Coral. Some decent playtime, though no bonuses dropped in. Sigh.

Well, hopefully somewhere I okay will take the 96% version.

Fish is Fish. It only has one flavor. The 94% flavor is seaweed pretending to be Fish.

Thanks, the bonus frequency is the same regardless of RTP. Squid in reel bonus is 1 in 101 and Respin bonus is 1 in 216 - less than half a lot released at the moment 😉

Thank you! Glad to hear you like the design and sounds :)

Yes, it is a volatile fishing adventure, if this is not for you we understand that. It's important players play games that match their profile and what they enjoy - not every game is for every player. Our games are generally at the top end of volatility, that said we never say never to doing lower volatility. If we release something less volatile I will ping you on here.

We provide multiple versions and the casino makes a choice which version they decide to use. As a small UK based games studio, we had to respond to market demand and offer multiple versions. We make it very clear on the splash screen which version you have opened.
We are also much more open with regards to statistics, information and engagement, just see some of our other threads for example.

What is different with this one, that I quite like, is fish cash prizes are not collected by a symbol, as seen on Fishin' Frenzy or Big Bass. Cash prizes pay in the base game when fish match along the reels from left to right like standard pays.

Prizes go up in value from reel one to six, with jackpot fish at the end. It's different for sure.

Had a spin last night and did ok, lost out in the end but scooped a 50x, 30x and a few smaller wins along the way.

Thank you! We always like to put a 4ThePlayer twist on everything we release, great to hear you like it.

I fish you better luck on your next fishing trip! Hopefully, you can land an ULTRA fish.

Looks like this UK player was in exactly the right plaice!

Landing a £10,039.50 win from a natural £1 win as they netted the ULTRA fish!!

'oh my cod'

 You are Krill-ing me!
You can indeed unlock all the reels, any scatter landed on a locked reel in the bonus unlocks it, creating an even better oppor-tuna-ty for a big win.

Aye. Nobody blames you for offering the multiple versions - that’s good business.

And I’ve said before - it even makes sense for the smaller operators to reduce their risk exposure by taking the lower RTP, but when we’re talking the likes of GalaCoral, that’s a scummy decision. Out of your hands, of course. It’s on them, and they’ve decided they need to payout less, while being the biggest in the world.

I've found it to be an abysmal time for me. Bonus took a fortune to land and it paid less than 9x. What annoyed me more than anything is the squid. It purposefully moved one of the fish that was on a winning way and moved it so it wasn't part of the win. Why do that, why code that specifically to give you a middle finger like that (It wasn't even that big of a fish but you sit there thinking oh it's moved a fish this is an ok win only for it to then make the win a lot worse). It's just as bad as features that zero you.

Rant over, your other games have been better imo.

Well I played this on and off through yesterday when I had spare time (and then evening) must have given it best part of a couple of hours.)

Initially I played at videoslots so was the 94% version. I managed the squid/octopus thing a few times and paid 5-20x ish over those random features. I also had 2 bonuses fairly close together (after almost taking all my balance ! Ok I was only playing minimum bet with a £10 deposit so was probably pushing my luck with a higher volatility game lol) first bonus paid nearly 100x the second 200x.

Later in the day I had a look around out of all the sites I use (Vs, gala, coral, Betfair, etc) and they all had 94 percent as I wanted to try the 96 if I could , so I finally found it on betvictor, stuck £15 from my small withdraw from earlier in the day, and got a couple of hours play from it and one bonus of around 100x , many squid things giving something (it always connected them all for me I never saw it move a fish out of a winning position but maybe I was just lucky)

I also had a couple of base game 100x and 50x ish on both RTP versions.

I like fishin frenzy, but not the biggest fan of all the new ones like big bass etc as I just never see anything worthwhile lol but I like this one... The look and style , sound.. plus as already said , the fact the fish values actually count when you get a fish win (altho it's not often you see fish wins lol but still I like that you don't need a fisherman or something to collect).

I'll give it another go later today, my go last night did eventually run out my balance but I thought I got some great playtime in the circumstances.

:)

Sorry to read that 😥

Just to clarify. The squid will move fish but the outcome of the feature is a minimum 3.5x improvement on any win - you can never trigger squid and end up with a worse win, in fact, it can go up to 200x improvement!

It is however infrequently possible, as you saw, that during the squid feature animation after it has started, it can create a better win than removing a fish from it diminishing it. However, the final result is still guaranteed to be better than before the squid feature.
The potential for this was noted during v.late development but the solution to ensure the animation does not show such situations could not be implemented in time to release. Thanks for letting us know you saw it!

You are the first player to raise it, we will monitor player feedback, streams, and videos to see if it becomes a common issue. We can then work on the front end animation order to ensure the squid moves the fish in the correct order to never show such a situation...

As I said though, the feature absolutely will guarantee a better win it is only the order of the squid animation that rarely causes this issue.

Thank you for your detailed feedback, really pleasing to hear you like the design, sound and fishing twist 😀 Great to hear you had a fun experience and some good wins along the way! Good luck on your next fishing trip 🎣

Another big win, a player caught the SUPER FISH - landing €5,000 on a €10 spin. For transparency yep this one was a Buy Feature for €750, that said it has zero impact on the fish landing, It just brings in the bonus. The odds are exactly the same.

Yeah i like it :)

Played it some more the last hour while i have some time, had 4 bonuses, first a 25x (my poorest so far), and then an 80x, an 180x and a 220x, so its been very nice to me. :)

I do have a question though - how often will it unlock a 4th reel etc ? Out of what, 8 or 9 bonuses ive had since yesterday, only one has unlocked an extra reel. Also, do you have to unlock the 5th reel for the jackpot wins to become available to drop in, or can the squid thing move a jackpot win from behind the chains into an active reel? (the 180x i had today gave me the 'big' fish of 100x in reel 5 and i was wondering if they can be moved from that reel if it was locked).

Sure, happy to help!

The chances of getting a reel unlock during a bonus is circa 45% of the time. So you got unlucky it only occurring once in 8 bonuses (We'd expect you to get 1 or less reel unlocks over 8 bonuses only 7% of the time).

You will end up with 5 reels unlocked about 1 in 20 bonuses.

The jackpot fish can only land on the 6th reel but they can be moved to the other reels by the squid feature. So you can win the JP with the 6th reel still closed!
