3Dice retiring Super Five

3Dice is putting one of my favourite games out to pasture! The huge progressive will be moved over to Pentapay, assuming it is not hit beforehand.

I will miss this three-reel slot with 5X multipliers, and two jackpot levels.

I checked on my stats yesterday on this game, and lifetime, I am 100.42%, so at least it doesn't owe me anything when it goes.

I am hoping that they introduce some new three-reel slot to take it's place, there are a few of us left that are old school.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! That is not fair at all! They should wait till the jackpot is hit..I play that game and like it too...and always dreamed of hitting one of those progressives..(they have 2 , a mini and major). What will happen to all that money we all invested in it?? I have wondered why it has never been hit too!

I do not care for the Penta pay at all...too much money needed to hit even a small amount...what a BUMMER!

Hi Jas. I read that newsletter too, and maybe it could have been clearer. The progressive amount will be spent on boosting the casino wide random jackpot starting tomorrow. Got that confirmed by CS yesterday.

The site-wide progressive jackpot is back - and we're giving it an unprecedented boost. This Sunday, 3Dice is super charging the progressive jackpot with an extra $5,000 followed by a $2,000 boost each sunday for the next 5 Sundays.

Freddy

you would think they would keep the slot game as so many players want more slots so many people say they have so few slots as it is

oh well 3Dice's call

Good Luck

Freddy, you are right, Enzo PM'd me today to let me know my mistake. He said he would post here tomorrow.

I would have to agree Jas. It's not like a B&M where they take up physical space.

Silc, the major progressive has not gone off in the almost two years I have been playing at 3Dice. Often B&Ms will announce and post that a linked progressive will be retired after it next hits.

There are lots of ways of being "random". Since most (if not all) three-reelers are weighted, they could have changed the weighting so that it would pop sooner (in all probabity), or even set it to go off on or by a certain date, which I'm sure would have attracted a great deal of interest and play on the machine. But it looks like the decision has already been made, and I'm going to miss it.

Drats, there go my dreams of a deck on the back of my house!;)

just wondering how right it is to take a Jackpot from 1 game an put it on another one kinda sounds like what Top Game claimed to have done but now they dontknow where it went
The game should stay till it is won IMO not that I am a regulat there so my thoughts dont mean jack -----

winbig:The huge progressive will be moved over to Pentapay, assuming it is not hit beforehand.
It still is not right! Money invested in it will be won by someone that has never playied it. Pentapay sucks..I have played it and it plays terrible...

refre:The progressive amount will be spent on boosting the casino wide random jackpot starting tomorrow. Got that confirmed by CS yesterday.
Which is a bunch of garbage if it is the same way as before where a wheel pops up and gets spun and lands on someones name..(I do not think it is that way but they sucked when they did have it that way for the short time, it passed my name every time it came up for a winner ).

jas2587, you have a good point and yes, YOUR opinion does matter regardless..I feel and believe the same thing..it is not right to bolster another idea with funds procurred by other means..

Let the jackpot be hit as Jasminebed says:

It is not like they can't do this and be fair to many that have played it..What ARE they thinking???

If I am correct in my assumption, SuperFive was most likely an underperforming game. The games that are introduced need to have an appeal to them... Yes, SuperFive did have an enormous jackpot, but as correctly pointed out above, it hadn't been hit for almost 2 years.

The progressive amount will be spent on boosting the casino wide random jackpot starting tomorrow. Got that confirmed by CS yesterday.
Which is a bunch of garbage if it is the same way as before where a wheel pops up and gets spun and lands on someones name.

It has always been this way Silc. Ever since the random jackpot was started at 3Dice this has always been the way the jackpot (and the daily depositor sweepstakes, when those were turned on) was awarded. If you think it's bad having your name passed by every time, try having your name being one away from the winner - there's a heart stopper for you :eek2:.

And your statement isn't necessarily true - a lot of people have played SuperFive over the 3 years it's been there, myself included, which means any one of the players who have had the thought of hitting that jackpot still have a chance at winning (at least a part of) it. I admit, it was a fun game to have such a small bet produce sometimes a giant return, but times (and player's habits) change... And besides, Enzo said in the newsletter that it may return someday as an enhanced version.

There are lots of ways of being "random". Since most (if not all) three-reelers are weighted, they could have changed the weighting so that it would pop sooner (in all probability), or even set it to go off on or by a certain date, which I'm sure would have attracted a great deal of interest and play on the machine.

If they altered the weighting, and made it known that they were doing that, it would be unfair to each and every one of the players who had played it up to that point. If they made it go off on a certain date, no one would play it until the day it was set to go off (what's the point chasing a jackpot that is guaranteed not to hit?)

just wondering how right it is to take a Jackpot from 1 game an put it on another

At least they are doing an honorable thing and still giving the jackpot away, albeit in a slightly different manner. I'm sure if they said "We're retiring SuperFive and screwing you out of the jackpot too" an uproar and a half would occur. At least this way, the jackpot is still being awarded.

I'm sure there's a lot of people who could talk until they're blue in the face about how it's not right, how this could have been done, how that could have been done, etc... but the simple fact is, if the game isn't up to (most) player's standards, and the casino's profitability standards, then why keep it? If only a few people are playing a game that was designed to appeal to the masses, retire it, give it a face-lift, and re-introduce it as a bigger and better version a little later on down the road.

I honestly don't see a problem with what they are doing.

Well, if the game did not produce a winner, only the casino is at fault there , making the game unwinnable...really!

I guess everyone is falling all over themselves holding their breath with excitement over new games such as this, Old Attachment (Invalid)
that give back total squat for wins...maybe it is a cute game , but for returns...PfFfFfTTttt...and I do like 3Dice but this is a bad move IMO..

Maybe just a few played the game...but to churn out crap like the last one above is a little much especially when they are replacing it with games that do nothing but take..I guess someone has to pay for the graphics ..huh? And I have never seen anyone remove a game from play until AFTER a jackpot was cleared..JMO...whatever...

Not true - there probably just weren't enough players playing it to have the jackpot go off in a timely manner.

You've probably only seen one side of the game. The flip side produces absolutely stellar wins, which are witnessed almost every day by everyone in chat. And it doesn't take long for you to see the flip side... just get 4 or 5 bubbles on any size bet and watch the wins go sky-high. I know that's a tall order sometimes, but it's the truth - sometimes it just takes time to see both sides of the game.

We have all known 3Dice to be different from the very start. Just because they are retiring the game before giving the jackpot away in the manner formerly prescribed is no reason to go off. Like I said before, at least the jackpot is still being given away, just in a different manner.

They are trying their damndest to come out with more and more games that have a universal appeal to them... not everyone likes cute fishies and bubbles, but that's their prerogative.

On the flip side, not everyone wants to go to Egypt, shoot pigs and dragons, whack squirrels until their fingers fall off, or spin records all day. But that's why they are trying to expand on their selection of slots - so that people can find games that appeal to them. A retirement of one usually means a better version of it (or a similar game) in the near future.

A true for-the-players casino finds what its players want and attempts to deliver on that. If the casino keeps games that aren't making them any money, and that no one wants to play, they would soon be out of business. Mass appeal is the name of the game.

No offense, but to judge a game with a picture of a single bonus round is totally unfair. That's called a SUPER small sample size. Take a look at 100-200 bonus rounds, and then you can start making some conclusions. Personally, I find the clams to be extremely exciting, with massive potential ($200 wins on .25 aren't that hard to hit).

Ultimately, I don't get the move. 3Dice is BEHIND in every other casino I know of, as far as games go - even Wizard gaming has produced more games in it's short history. I recognize that 3Dice focuses on quality, not quantity - but having a handful of videoslots does not work. I mean c'mon, every other casino has some sort of stacked wild / expanding wild game: 3Dice does not. Stacked wild games are HUGELY popular now adays, yet 3Dice slots need to be 'unique'.

I would have been fine with this move if 3-4 slots replaced it, but that does not appear to be the case.

From the 3Dice Web Site:

As a young and fresh company, 3Dice.com aims to be the alternative in an otherwise uniform market. Our 3D casino software is unique, cutting edge and designed to provide the highest quality digital entertainment.

I think this about sums it up.

Hi Guys !

The SuperFive was one of the original games at 3Dice (the very first slotgame infact, before even tut or happy valley). As more slot games were added to the lounge, the play on this game decreased consistently, and after the release of Pentapay the majority of Super Five players moved their play to Pentapay. (which is very similar as far as game play/pay goes).

Its out-of-the-ordinary one line w/o blanks setup, its limited betsizes, and its (source of many frustrations) no-pay lemon symbol made it a bit of an eye-sore in the 3Dice slot selection and confused and agitated new players. Reviving or updating this old game is development-wise the equivalent of a whole new game, an effort we feel is better spent on say - a game with expanding or stacked wilds.

With Pentapay catering to the majority of the SuperFive players we felt it was the ideal time to cut this knot. It's rj was the only remaining hurdle to take and from the options there moving it to the sitewide random jackpot was the most sensible. ( waiting for it to hit could take a long time with this little play - announcing it, then waiting would create new Super Five fans - and moving it into the pentapay creates a strange and unnatural balance among the ring-of-riches set of games. ).

On the subject of how the software displays the RJ winner, it has always been like this and it is a very conscious choice. Other softwares display RJ wins by simply adding it to the balance - a situation that seems confusing at best, and you can find numerous posts of winners that didn't even notice it for several spins. We feel that if the RJ is won, this is not something that
can go by unnoticed. Not only would it be confusing to the winners, it also seems unfair to the other player who might be playing to try and hit that RJ. (and who would move their play if they were aware the RJ was hit.).

If in a while, we notice that retiring SuperFive has created a permanent void, we would not hesitate to put in the effort, and revive it in an updated version. (If it had more than one winline I'd throw in stacked wilds ;) ). We're just trying to please !

Kindest regards,

Enzo

Hi all!

I had to just make a little post here....

I played that SuperFive from time to time and i have to say that im sad to see it go.. but also happy i wont see the lemons again :)

I also wanna say that i think 3Dice has a good reason to take it out.. why would they if there wasen't one.
If it hasen't been hit in years and less are playing it now, it could take some time to hit it...
Be happy instead for all the $$ you are gonna save :D

So... instead of whining my behind off... im gonna THANK YOU 3Dice...
For all the fun you do for the players...every day...24/7...
For all the joy you give to people that doesnt have the chance to get out and do stuff..
For all the gifts i know you did send out to loyal players...i would love to see other casinos do that... HUGE HINT....

Have a wonderful Christmas :)

I have and I was not impressed. Again, we go off on a tangent of would be , could be, maybes..vs actual wins (the Super 5). How many of these are going to be produced? Yes the lemon was a very bad thing and it used to aggravate the heck out of me when I would hit the 5x symbol with them...but at least it was a known thing whereas hitting 4 bubbles (or scatter symbols) could give you squat as I have seen in many of the other games also..Sure, chase them and hope and pray this COULD be the one...when it never is..

I find the clams to be extremely exciting, with massive potential ($200 wins on .25 aren't that hard to hit).
This is the same discussion we had before...everyone saying the "BIG ONE" potential is there..of course it is..but when will we ever see one???Just as this jackpot never went off...we will all be sitting there waiting for the "Big One" that is promised but yet fails to materialize no matter how many and how long one has played it...

I also wanna say that i think 3Dice has a good reason to take it out.. why would they if there wasen't one.

.Yes, take down the game and give us some more that puts hope in one but never comes through....that is the way to make money I guess..

I know it's a tourney mode shot, but this is the "flip-side"... 3 bubbles, getting 2 free swims at an x9 multiplier...

well considering Enzo an 2 of his non employees:rolleyes: are only replying to the good of the removel of the game an promoting the clam one

it makes better sense when just Enzo post an then along comes his non paid chat Reps to throw in their 2 cents makes ya go hmmm everytime there is a 3Dice post they come along an praise 3Dice

amen

Don't you find it strange that we have had a few GREAT shots in tourney mode ONLY, or am I the only one seeing this??

Whatever...casinos will do what casinos want..I understand that, no matter what players want, say or ask for...the bottom line is where it is at..

All done, enough said..let it be for it will be..regardless..yes, I am resigned to this fact...and I guess I will have to start taking my fun on the road again more often, much to my dislike..because I play the 10x10x10 machines and 5x5x5 machines etc at the real casinos too..Penta pay is not my cup of tea..the triple pay is a lot more player friendly and allows longer playtime...ahh well..again..done..

Cindy...

You have the right to say what you wish, and I respect that as I always have...

But DO NOT come on this forum and say that we are Enzo's little guard dogs. There are actually people in this world (yes, I know it's hard to believe) who are passionate about what they write and don't get paid for their opinions. There is absolutely nothing wrong about sharing a point of view with a casino operator. I am simply defending the choice of the casino to retire one of the games that they have had for a little too long.

Why does it make you go "hmmm"? Could it be that you could not, for one second, see there is just a little bit of truth on the posts that some of us make? Oh wait... there's ALL TRUTH.

I post because I want to. Not because Enzo wants me to, not because it makes 3Dice look better, not because of any other reason. I am allowed to share my opinions on the subject just as much as anyone else is. However, when I post, I want to make sure my facts are straight before I post and make myself look like an idiot. If that makes me look like one of his employees, then oh well. Maybe I should be working there then.

Don't come on here and personally attack me because you don't agree with what I or anyone else is saying. We all have our right to our opinions and I am expressing mine.

When was the last time you played there Cindy? You keep telling everyone you have uninstalled the software, however you still come into chat. Seems to me someone who continually posts about the evil side of 3Dice (when IN MY HUMBLE OPINION there isn't one) wouldn't be one to play there. But when your name comes up in the top 10 of tourney lists, and when you hit some good amounts in chat to where they pop up for everyone to see...

I don't know... draw your own conclusions... but to me it's called, well, I'll leave my opinions to myself.

[/derail]

Back on the subject, the RJ is now over $7,000 - god, I hope I hit it...
