I just thought I would inform the community that 32 Red had lots of their best multi-hand VPs removed.
From what I am aware of, the 100 & 50 hand Jacks or Better and Deuces Wild have been removed.
It just so happens that these are among their highest paying VPs. They have left the low paying VPs like Aces and Faces as is.
All the evidence points to cost cutting.

I asked 32 Red live support about it and they told me that Microgaming came without notice and removed the games and no reason was given whatsoever.
A likely story...

something similar happened before, the autoplay function was removed on the VP's across all the microgaming casinos a few years back

Same with the fruit machines last year, "removed by Microgaming". At the time, it was the first mass removal of games I have ever seen with Microgaming, and this sounds like the second. Over 20 games were removed in the fruit machine purge, leaving the category with a single game "Pub Fruity".

However, the 100 play and 50 play VPs have the same paytable as the 10 and 4 hand versions, and in many cases this is the same as the 1 hand game. I know that 1 hand Deuces Wild is lower pay than the multi hand versions, so maybe there are a few other exceptions.

EDIT:-

I just had a quick look, and this is even bigger than removing a few 100 hand and 50 hand VP games. "Pub Fruity" has also gone, so have all the multi-player slots. Gone also are most of the "variety games", left behind are two scratchcards and Keno, the rest have gone, including "Arcade Max Damage".

I have also noticed a major lobby update is taking place, presumably to implement these changes.

It looks like Microgaming have moved away from their former policy of never removing a game, no matter how old, to having periodic mass clearouts of old games. No doubt the numbers will be made up with the several new games each month that get released.

Microgaming - mass purge of games both old and new.

This now goes beyond the loss of a few 50 and 100 hand VP games. Today it was purge No2, and not just 32Red, but it seems throughout Microgaming. The recent Rabcat slots have all been ditched, along with another bunch of slots. If anything, 32Red is now a little behind with the purge as it still has the slots that have already disappeared from elsewhere, but they will probably disappear from 32Red in due course, so goodbye Rabcat it seems.

It's hard to quantify how deep this purge goes because there has been no notification nor press release as there usually is when new games are added, and players will only notice the disappearance of games they play.

I have also noticed that all the Mega Moolah games are being updated.

Maybe this is an operator requested purge of all the games that they have "excluded from counting towards WR", especially with the newer multi provider platforms that have a pretty long list of excluded slots as well as other games. The Rabcat games often appeared on the excluded lists, but I wonder what Rabcat's lawyers will feel about their deal being ended so soon.
