25 Years - 9/11

About this time 25 years ago today I ventured onto the BBC News site only to be confronted by reports that the North Tower of the WTC was on fire. That day changed the world for pretty much everyone. Definitely my generations "I remember when Kennedy was shot" moment.

RIP to all those that lost their lives that day

When we went to New York in 2004 for my wife's 30th Birthday we visited Ground Zero.

I remember it well - I had just signed up (was under 18 so needed parental consent) and it was announced a few minutes after I signed. Recruiter actually said to my dad and I, are you sure you want him to go as he will end up doing at least one operational tour in the middle east.

Actually in the US now on holiday. Albeit, not NY, but went there last year to the memorial. Very moving.
