I marvel at some of the bonuses that come my way. I just received one today with a 25% offer. Why in the hell would anyone expose 100% of their money to a 30x playthough for a 25% bonus?!?!? My $100 deposit would get me $125 to play with, but with one hitch, and it's a big one.... I now have to wager that to the tune of $3750! Do people really take these? Please tell me no!

P.T. Barnum said it best.....there's one born every minute.

.

Bet365 used to have something they called "Bonus Bundle". It was (or is, do not know if they offer it anymore) a bonus system where players could claim bonuses up to EUR 3000 per month.

The bonus was 20% up to EUR 1000 and could be claimed 4 times per week (EUR 1000 would give the player EUR 200 in bonus etc).

Wagering requirement was Bonus + Deposit X 25 ( X 200 if you were from Poland  ).

They had this terrible campaign for quite some time, but I do not see it on their website now so maybe they have removed it. Anyway, sorry for my derail, I was just reminded of this when I read OP`s post :)

Its rtg definitely and likely to be one of the JC casinos too. All RTG bonuses come with a wr of (d+b)x 20/30 which is ridiculous compared to mg where the wagering is only tied to the bonus 30x. IMO the deposit should have nothing to do with the wrs especially if the bonus is a sticky one. In the MG scenario even a 10% bonus is worth it because you only have to wager your deposit 3x and you have the extra 10%. You would likely to have wagered that amount without the bonus anyway. In the rtg case ie 25% bonus you actually have to wager your bonus 150x to get it. That's why I deposit the minimum of $20 everytime I take a deposit. I extend my playtime and dont bloody care if I meet wrs for a cashout. With these outrageous wrs many rtgs have the nerve to label you a bonus abuser when you take a bonus on every deposit. Actually, unless you get a monster hit before your balance is depleted how often can you grind thru the wrs. Getting halfway there is already difficult.

You are correct. It is a JC casino and I actually found the offer offensive. I have no problem with a 100% match, as that gives you much more of a chance. In JC's defense, at least their bonus is cashable. I still feel their wagering requirement of 30x is not ideal. I do not always take a bonus, sparing me from this most of the time. I would definitely not take their 25% offer and would probably not take a 75% one either.

That is just as bad as the CWC's 500 challenge, you deposit 150 USD and get 500 USD but you have to wager the deposit and bonus 45 times. That is over 29 grand!!!! On RTG slots that is nearly impossible to complete.

I just received 2 e-mails from them for Buzzluck and I forgot the other casino but I had to laugh when I read the wagering requirements. Hit the delelte button faster than taking money from my hubby.

The scary part is that some people actually make it.....I think diane did a few times and some others I remember.

The worst bit is the sticky bonus.

I can see it being attractive to someone who doesn't usually highroll, but wants to have a shot and doesn't care if they lose it all.

I made it also

I also made it, deposit 150 and get 500 at CWC last year. 45 X playthrough. I ended up with 5000 $ in balance. And CWC did not want my business anymore.
But i got the money. :)

Casinos hate a winner. Nothing new there. I read a book about Vegas once that said "anything that does not allow the casino to vacuum all the money out of your wallet must be cheating on your part". ;)

Here is another goodie from Always Vegas, look at the terms you must win at least 100 times the bonus before you can withdraw meaning i you took the max bonus $1000 you have to have $100.000 in balance before you can withdraw ? even if you only took the $25 bonus you still need to have $2500 in your account before withdrawing shocking terms

Nothing wrong with CW 150 for 500 bonus, managed to cash out from it twice but now they don't offer me bonuses any more. High WR is ok when the bonus is big enough, but of course you need to bet quite high to have any chance to cash out. If I remember correctly it doesn't have any max withdrawal either?

25% 30xD+B is really bad though unless it's a Blackjack or Videopoker bonus or something.

When Ray used to play at Playtechs he got a stupid $2 bonus that came with a D+Bx50 or some ridiculous thing - he played for two days and went to cash out and that's when he found out about the WR and that (of course) none of the games he'd been playing counted toward wagering. ;)
