2017 Christmas Contest

The only thing I can tell from the screenshot is that the movie came out after 1995 as I know UDF stands for Universal Disk Format and it wasn't introduced until 1995. Other than that I have no idea.

I "watched", more like skimmed through 2 movies. Casino (1995) and Rounders (1998) and didn't catch a scene with that shot :p

But I will just have a guess and say Casino (1995) anyway, why not? :D

Don't want the movie (obviously you have to know that), I want you to tell me who won the pot! :D
Try again, I will not count this as an answer. That goes for everybody else too, just the name of the movie won't count as an answer.
 
Ive run out of research time and am almost there. I'll have to make a quick guess that, if incorrect, will be a super clue to others.

Yea it doesn't state who won it unless someone mentions it further on.

Master Sergeant Farell addressed Kimmel about it. But whether he won the hand or not isn't stated there and then.

Actually a great movie that too!

I should get a bonus for being a super sleuth.. I used the key words on the thing in the corner which led me to find out it was made specifically as a movie prop. Discovered the movie and then read through the entire synopsis to find this scene. I assumed that after his angry rant the sergeant confiscated the pot.

If having watched each movie is a requirement then count me out this week as life is too short to spend even longer on screen time!
 
Me too, I should have got points for saying "it doesn't state who won it"; which is essentially the same as saying no one won it.

Count me out this week too!!!

If Supababe is allowed to be menstrual about it then I am too!!! :laugh:

I'm just kidding of course ;)

EDIT: Also, I am not kidding when I say I actually did go and "watch" it after Supababe found the full image. haha

You did great job. How could anybody miss that, I only needed you to see the scene where he interrupted the game and made them eat the cards. That means nobody won.
But the day was reset, so I would accept that as an answer. It is all Jd's fault :p he gave me the answer I was looking and after that I couldn't help anybody else, only hopped you could edit your posts.

This could mean that the prop people messed up and meant for Ross to have a Straight Flush with the 3♣ and 6♣ or a full house. So rather than letting Rachel win, Ross had a losing hand all along

That is up to you, spend as much time as you want, but It can't be super eazy. So I make it a bit hard, then I give clues as needed. If I don't it usually means it has been answered. 2nd and 3rd can just take a free ride :D that is why the extra 2 points for 1st place. At the end the winners will have spend some time here, yes. I try to make it as easy and fun as possible.

The bloody hours I have put in I have barely spent any time at all on my usual casino sites!
