Hello, guys. Here is little announcement, which I think can be a matter of interest for you:
The World Poker Enterprise announced that it will run Professional Poker Tour (PPT) on the 9th of November at the Foxwoods Resort Casino. Champions from tournaments including the World Poker Tour, the World Series of Poker and European Poker competition are expected to take part in the event. But the full list of around 200 eligible players has not been disclosed yet, reported Onlinecasinonews.com.

The shortcoming professional poker tour is similar to the popular World Poker Tour (WPT) but has slight differences. The current WPT is open to anyone who wishes to buy-in or who has won a seat in a satellite tournament, regardless of past performance or skill level. Unlike the WPT, participation in the PPT is limited to professional players who meet eligibility requirements based on success in previous tournament play. The criteria for eligibility includes: having won or reaching a final table at APT event or championship; by ranking in the top ten point leader table in the WPT Player-of-the-Year rankings; by becoming a member of the Poker hall of Fame; securing a spot on either CardPlayer Magazines Card Player of the Year Top 10 list, or Poker Europas Top 10; or by winning or placing highly in the US$10,000 buy in event at the World Series of Poker.
This years event will feature five US$500,000 free-roll tournaments. After Foxwoods, the tour will move to Bellagio in Las Vegas, the Goldstrike Casino in Tunica, and Commerce Casino in California and will reach its final destination at The Mirage in Las Vegas. Some TV companies have already announced that they will broadcast the tour. The Travel Channel said that it would cover the competition for US viewers on Wednesdays at 9pm.
