You were wondering whether it is possible to have 11 (if I remember the number correct) wilds without having a wildline. Unfortunately it is possible, just check Nicola's screenshot here. They had 10 wilds without wildline and if you added one more wild replacing the K still there would not be a wildline.
More over, I think you can have 12 wilds without wildline (if I am not mistaken) adding one more wild replacing O or not having any wilds in the first column, but having full wilds in all other columns.
