Remember that thread when Melvin was offering us lot at CM a free £5? Well, I went ahead and created an account. And instead of waiting for the £5 to be credited, I just went ahead and made a first deposit. Mainly because there was a NextGen free spins promo running as well. Having had a successful Netent only playthrough at Casino Room a couple of weeks earlier, I thought it might be fun to do a NextGen only playthrough on this deposit, as it would give me the chance to play some games that I had never played before.

So I started on King Kong, which I was playing for the very first time. Playing at min bet.

Got the bonus twice and got 2 smashes both times. Took the mystery cash prize the first time (to test the pickem feature out) and won a surprisingly high 50x bet. The second time, I took the spins. And I barely won over 10x bet. Then, the first 100x hit of the playthrough came via the base game....

This time, I got three re-triggers for a FS round that was 400 spins long. It took 42 minutes. I did get one single spin win of 100x (another 4OAK of the top paying blonde girl, which paid 120x). Total for the round - 538.28x bet.

After 988 spins, I quit with my balance at £597.98. £3,253 of WR to go. A dream start....

It's definitely one to approach with caution mina, given that it is a NextGen game. NextGen games tend to be high, even very high variance.
Medusa 2, Gorilla Go Wild, Psycho and 300 Shields are all very capable of DOA-level deadness. But at least it is possible to get a 100x win in the base game on King Kong. Gorilla Go Wild and 300 Shields offer no such chance, unless you get 5 scatters. Those two games especially are ALL about the free spins. I would imagine the RTP for the base game on those two games is extremely low.

I have had some great wins on NextGen games and I do like them, but I don't play them regularly, because I find the variance a little too hot to handle at times to be playing them regularly.

Balance at £597.98 with £3,253 of WR to go after a sizeable chunk of beginners luck on my first ever session on King Kong.
Next up....my favourite NextGen game, Gorilla Go Wild. Still playing at min bet.

The features were flying in and I very quickly unlocked the Stay Wild feature. First chance I got to select it ended up being a big miss, as I got a huge re-trigger, but the wilds (8 of them across 4 reels) came too late and I didn't even win 100x bet. Never mind though, because the features kept triggering and I soon unlocked the Megarilla Multiplier feature, where I have only managed one 100x hit to date. It was soon to become two....



I got a re-trigger which gave me a big chance to reach the maximum multiplier of 10x, something I had never done before. To my surprise, I managed to get there after only 9 spins, which meant I had 11 spins at 10x and a big chance to land something. And on spin 17 of 20, I get the best 5OAK possible that is not a wildline. 5OAK of the gorilla coin at 10x. 365x bet.
