Will job outsourcing ever have any limits ?

For crying out loud. This really takes the cake and that is saying something with all the cake taken lately. It's like we are living in some parallel universe where the exact opposite happens from what should happen. We all possess common sense, don't we? Why is that attribute lacking in the folks who run our financial institutions? Why not bring those jobs home and let some of the very folks who are needing the assistance have the jobs? I think it is time to get out the tar and feathers.

The reason they're sending jobs overseas is because of Dubya (or was it Clinton) that issued tax cuts to corporations simply for outsourcing jobs to overseas companies.

I need to take a language course specializing in English with an offshore accent. That way, when I call tech support for say, the phone company, I'll be able to understand what I'm being told  Ditto for just about everything else:D

Comcast Cable is the latest culprit.

For years, you could call their tech support/CSR's and get connected to someone in America. But not anymore...It became apparent that several months ago they started outsourcing their call centers to some other country.

Can you cite the exact law?

GrandMaster, I'm one of those dodgy old Independents who digs for both sides of the story. When I read that article about the outsourcing of more jobs to India, I tried in vain to find a specific law that was passed under Bush which rewarded companies for outsourcing jobs. I must admit to have assuming the "talking points" all these years placing the blame at his feet as being truth. Always a mistake. LOL.

Anyway, I did find an article by FactCheck.org which is about the most reliable source for unbiased facts backed up by references. Nobody gets it right all the time, but they do a better job than the political spinners.

He's referring to the way the US tax code gives some financial incentive to US companies to invest profits overseas rather than bring them back to the US to be taxed.

As we've explained before, Bush didn't put that into the tax code: it's been there as long as there has been a corporate income tax.

Unfortunately, because of trade agreements and slight of hand, it appears billions of the stimulus package will also be going to create jobs outside of the U.S. Chrysler announced 3 days ago the 800 new jobs it would create developing their new engine were being sent to Mexico. MSM has been extremely quiet on that development that came about AFTER Chrylser and the government made their deal.
