Suggestion Why Should I Use the Ignore Function?

No need to name and shame however if a member's posting style sets your jaw on edge there is a forum function that may keep you from the infraction list

The Ignore List (find it in your Settings under "Edit Ignore List") will help you deal with troublesome posters should they create a problem for you. Just add the username of the member troubling you and their posts will be hidden from you!

It is hard to react to a post you cannot read!

I got a infraction once and I appealed for a clemency reduction over rule and it was duly received

Not you Cleveland!! My troublesome peeps are already on my ignore list It works so well I just had to share!!

I'm too curious to not read anyway, so there's no point in trying

Happy to say in all the years on here I have never had to use it , was tempted several times but they were booted from the forum before I could do it

I don't use the ignore function either, but I did want to point out that if you don't want to have to type in someone's username, you can also add a person to your ignore list by going to their profile page - click their username on any post and choose View Profile in the context menu. When you're at the member's profile page, under the profile pic is a link to Add to Ignore List.

That way you don't have to remember how to spell a username or whatever.
