Why I love online casino...

It has been 1 year since I start playing online even I has no experience on land casino before.... (and how dare I was... LOL )

I have always feel half excited and half quilty about online gambling because I was told it's a "bad" "bad" hobby since a little kid. Somehow, I do enjoy it and made a little extra money so far and always make sure I can afford it no matter win or loose. Besides, I don't have to drive or dress up if I want to play and I can play at anytime I want. That's why I love playing at online.

I am into "playing" at stock now and very few casino this year. I can't help to think GAMBLING is human nature. That's why it seems I can't get rid of this hobby. And my heart will be beating and feel up and down when I play. It's fun to me.

What's your feeling about gambling beside it's a very expensive entertainment? What's your feeling about gambling? Do you play more at online or land casino? Just wondering....

I'm member at most of London casino's and therefore I spend most of my time there rather than online when am free.I believe that live is much more exciting although you don't have the calmness like at home in front of the pc

I like land based casino's. Online casino's cheat. I don't play them anymore. I know if I win at a land based casino I'll get paid. Too much left to chance playing online, If I do anything online these days it's play for fun mode only. Not even tempted. Their not getting anymore of my money.

I prefer land based, simply put because of the comps. I can call one of my hosts and have a very nice suite with "beverages" waiting for me. I simply ask and I can get pretty much anything I want while I'm @ the casino. They take good care of me and when I get a bonus offer or match play in the mail, I don't have to worry about some absurd wr. I like the service, I like the way they address me as Mr. I like when I play high limit bj my drink never goes below 1/2, my smokes never run out and win or lose they are always pleased to see me. I can cash out in mins, and I never have to hear an excuse why they can't pay me right now.
I know, I know, "why do you play online stupid?", ACTION, online I can play NOW, I don't have to drive anywhere, I can do it in my bathrobe and I never have to wait for a shuffle.
I guess they both have their ups and downs.

Unlike others, I don't play on land based casino much.
The only place that worthing going is las vegas becuase you can find fully pay VPs there. Still, the variance and hourly rate (only a few bucks per hour) sucks.
Unless I want to count cards, which I am not really good at, I don't see any point whatsoever to play on land based casino. It's a total waste of my money and time IMO. Their comps is a joke. Why bother wagering (and loosing) so much money for a free buffet when you can spend $10 for one?
Online casino offer way better odds than land based casino. Promotions, bonus, over 100% payout, you name it.

I've won, way, way more in online casinos than in Vegas or wherever. Even in the short term I do better. But then in land based casinos, I am much more frugal with my money. Online it's too much like play money.

I go to Vegas mainly to hang out with friends (it's usually during the G2E in September), to people watch, and to catch a couple of shows. When I lived in San Diego, I went there mainly for the cheap buffets, but they aren't so cheap anymore.

What I like about playing online, is that it's always there - and I can play for fun or real money, whatever the case may be. There are also my favaorite games that I play exclusively -- just like in Vegas. I have only certain games I like to play.

m249a mentioned he liked being treated nicely in land based casinos, I think the same can be said about certain online casinos as well. There are a number that appreciate the value of VIP players because they know the business. This is especially true when the operators have experience working in the operations of landbased casinos. 32red for instance.

The downside of course is this industry's realiance on the "bonus". This is the Frankenstein monster running amuck in the cyber casino countryside.

Land casino, in california is cool, it just u might get rob going home, cause some jerk falling you. The hood casinos you play agaisnt other players, which cause a problems sometimes cause other races get mad if you bank with another race. what i mean is you become the house and you can team up with someone else to make the house pot covers the table.
Another good thing is they have alot of free tourments. Just thought of another bad point, people asking you for money in hollywood and crstyal park casino.

Land casinos in Vegas are cool, just way to much smoke and the dealers love to tell you how to play. Free rooms i love and free food and free spa. I can stay in vegas all most a whole month for free with all the free rooms they give me.

online casinos, good points is u can play naked , no smoke, have sex while u playing, smoke pot. You can play more games faster.
Bad points, sometime take to long to get your money, casinos change terms
spyware,spam and double charge on your credit card. Send to much doc to x crooks.

The Meister is correct.... As a slot player, I can attest to the fact that online slots are much more generous.. I used to play only Video Poker for years, both online and land-based, and I think that online VP has the edge in that respect also, although not as big as the difference that I have found to be in the slots. Look at the difference in the overhead costs. Ever been in Caesar's Palace or the Mirage etc.? Online casinos can operate out of a barn for all we know.

That's the whole point of giving you free drinks (but notice its ONLY when you're playing that they are free). They want you to play badly and lose more. I always get bottled water when I'm playing, maybe a pepsi if I want something with some flavor. Never alcohol though.

There is something about the ambiance of a land based casino. I like to visit one about every 3 or 4 months. I'll play the tables and slots sometimes, but never play videopoker there. I just don't see the point, since I can play that anytime from home with the same or better odds.

I think I read it here or maybe on some other message board they lost something like $3000 in February or March and that's why they decided to increase WR for bonuses. I don't have any proof, take it FWIW.

I just got back from 5 days in Michigan and I realized as I opened the door into the MGM in Detroit that I love that music of a 1000 slot machines beckoning you. You hear the gambling before you even see it.

I definitely needed my quarterly fix of land-based casinos - the interaction with a friendly dealer and all the players. It's always good to be reminded of just how bad so many players are. At one table, I had 4 people that split 7,7 & 9,9 vs A, doubled 7 vs 2, doubled 8 vs 3, doubled a 12. Not only would they misplay their splits but screw up the ensuing doubles. And I would have been disappointed if I didn't get chastised by somebody for hitting A,7 vs 9. I wasn't disappointed, several times over. Surrounded by such miserable play, I did nothing but win.

Which was a good thing because I had done nothing but lose at this other table that had 2 betting circles for each seat. I have never seen that. You didn't have to play both circles but you could. It was like you could spread to 2 hands whenever you wanted. Don't know why all BJ tables couldn't institute this - the casinos get more action from the same 7 chairs. It was quite a sight seeing 14 hands spread across the felt. Still, it was a crappy H17 game from a CSM that I hope doesn't spread.

Spanish 21 was another disappointment, compared to AC, with a H17 rule, no re-doubling. The S17 game in AC is quite pleasant in that you can always find a seat and the HA is less than the BJ. And, since nobody knows how to play anyway, nobody gets mad at you. But you can't count.

Wish I could say I enjoyed the free drinks, but, like Canadian casinos, they're not.

As always, the bad news was, every time I gave the dealer $200, I got $200 worth of chips. Shocking. Just couldn't get used to that.

That's part of the reason why I think playing in land based casino is a waste of time.
I lived in Detroit for 4 years, I've never bothered to place even 1 cent there because there is very few advantage to gain.
They even barred players who hit royal flush before. I guess 1k payout is too much for them

I have seen plenty of bad play at multi-player tables online, too. You should be grateful for bad players. It is bad players and slot players who keep the casinos in business. I pray that they keep contributing to the casinos' profits, so that the online casinos can continue providing juicy bonuses to us.

Oh well, most worthwhile forms of entertainment cost a lot.

Gambling is great, if you gamble like you do, bewitch - only what you can afford.

And I agree it's human nature. The proof is just how many forms it takes - from lotteries to office pools. And the language is literally (pun hehe) seeped in wagering phrases: "roll of the dice", "play your cards right", "betcha can't..", "play the hand you're dealt" ........etc.

I prefer online casinos, cuz I don't live anywhere near a land casino.

Is it true that if you play 4deck+ BJ like most players do(stand on 4,5,6 against dealer 7,8,9,10 etc.) the house will jump on you for a minimun of 5%?.At all casinos I have been in London players play so badly.... .
20+ casinos in one city....this is groovy stuff if you can control gambling.
