Need your input: Which classic slots do you wish the casinos would bring back?

I need some input here!

Hey all, I was thinking about some of the all time classic slots from yesteryear and wishfully thinking how great it would be to have them back.

One that sticks out for me was Lord of The Rings from Microgaming. I really enjoyed this slot and it seemed to disappear within a matter of months of appearing online. Such a shame, as I would happily play this game from hours.

In fact, this wasn't the only branded slot I used to enjoy. I really enjoyed The Dark Knight slot (Batman), which was linked to the Mega Moolah jackpot and I was also well into Gladiator from Playtech - sadly all no longer available.

So, I am interested to know which classics you would like to see back in a casino today? Were you a big fan of the old Cryptologic slots? Did you have a penchant for Boss Media? What about the Marvel slots or some of those classic NetEnt's you can never seem to find anymore.

Frankenstein

Gladiator from Playtech - sadly all no longer available.
Some JP-version of original Gladiator is still available to Finns through the state-owned gambling company. I don't know how this is possible if the game disappeared elsewhere, but maybe they have some kind of deal with Playtech.

Netent removed almost all of their best games years ago and filled the catalog with boring games,
I think they should have produced more html5 versions of the old classics.

Many players like me have been missing this masterpiece

Many of those above were removed for expired or other licensing reasons. Same as Marvel slots were removed by Playtake. Dark Night Rizes was open to an exploit, as was Frankenstein. And Netent's Street Fighter II.

My all-time favourite was IGT's Dungeons & Dragons Fortress of Fortunes, I'm not sure if it was a victim of licensing but it went many years ago. Best slot ever made IMO.

It has been cloned (along with other IGT greats like Enchanted Unicorn and Triple Fortune Dragon) since by High5Gaming.

90% of MG's viper downloads games (without the 3 second delay rule) Including as mentioned LOTR but the Progressive JP version.

Original fast spinning IGT Cleopatra

IR and Rhino flash versions (pre gimp)

Probs loads more but memory ain't what it used to be :o

Microgaming

Bikini Party 👀

Harvey's lol the one with 25x and champagne bottles

Lucky Koi if it's not around

Lucky Stars, music is catchy!

Racing For Pinks

Sneak A Peek - Doctor Doctor
Sneak A Peek - Planet Exotica
(It's the nostalgia and creativity of it.....(quickly says the following)......plus babes!

Tomb Raider - Secret Of The Sword, that slot was lit but I hate collecting those passports on each reel in which they have to land on the centre. That was tedious! Lol the showdown for a 2nd chance by fighting Amanda.

There was this MG slot with a bonus that wins 25 FS at 4x or 6x, can't remember but you pick 3 choices, an animal racer, the track and the terrain. Something checkered at the end of the bonus. I forgot the name.

Another one is a galactic video slot involving planets. The sun symbol is the top symbol and there's a picking bonus on it, one of the symbols are I think a 3x for all wins. There's no aliens in there. It's similar to Dino Might IIRC.

I was a big fan of the Tomb Raider series to be fair, it's a shame they all disappeared. Most likely licensing reasons, as many above.

Sounds like Starscape to me?

You've just reminded me @Jono777 IGT's Cleopatra 2, with the escalating (and potentially infinite) multipliers in the bonus feature. Almost makes it worth flying to Vegas to play it in land-based.

Cleopatra 2 came back. They removed it and when it came back it had a makeover. It still has the same infinite multiplier if you keep getting retriggers.

@dunover what exploit in Dark Knight Rises?

I used to play that a lot back in the day, I do miss it. But yes for me it is Lord Of The Rings and a few other MG slots I miss the most.

You could build up the FS and multipliers and then increase the stake when bonus was close to triggering and like they're supposed to reset per stake, they didn't lol.

Trouble is us low rollers meant going from 30p to 60p a spin and not for long at that lol :o

Ahh yeah I remember that now.

Oh how can I forget I miss all the WMS slots. Now those are at my number 1 above Lord Of The Rings. How could I even forget those haha.

And the original Jackpot Party Casino I really miss so much. Until Skill On Net bought them. And then the online casino world went to total shit after that, then came the UKGC soon after to top all the shit off even more.

I will never forget playing £5 spins on cleo 2 in land based, bonus 9 spin start with retrigger and paid total 4x tilt mode was activated that day, that game loved a less than 10x bonus for sure, not worth the hype IMO but if you hit it was good, and btw most people don’t realise but the multi is actually capped to 50x not infinite.

Played online for about 30 years so saw many slots come and go.

Said it several times before but like conker my favourite slot was LOTR'S before they messed about making it a jackpot slot. Shows how times have changed as back in those days used to play a lot at Ladbrokes with decent bonuses with little wagering sometimes none lol.

Many slots I miss but another I played a lot was Fat Lady Sings. Don't know why but it was one of my slots I'd play every day. Even now tho there's slots that have went very recently that were favourites. Like bloody Happy Holidays. Why oh why that just went recently ill never know.

Really miss Jurassic Park and Happy Holidays, despite only recent removals. Also from MG, Highlander and Santa's Wild Ride, they still appear on some UK casinos but never load.

From Netent, Lost Island, Thunderfist, Wild Rockets

And a controversial one, cos never saw it played much and not exactly a classic, Survivor from BTG. Rarely gave massive wins, but kept a balance going for days and bonus was both exciting and frustrating :D when the double multipliers both got over 20x.

Highlander
South Park
Aliens

Could spin all 3 for days
They were all copyrighted/licensed themes so were removed at end of term.

Failiens was good for features coming in but terrible for getting big wins on.

Wonky rabbits and evolution 👌
Evolution was a great slot, sounds and graphics superb. I played Wanky Wombats or whatever a few times, but couldn't take the long dead periods along with the inanity of the graphics etc.

Used to love Spring Break, Ladies Nite, Thunderstruck, Loaded and Harveys all from Microgaming. Played them for months if not years on end in the early 00s. Recall getting a £500 birthday bonus from 32 Red. Played 90 quid a spin with it on Thunderstruck. Hit the free spins second or third spin in. Hit £13k. Emailed Ed. He had it in my account the same afternoon which was crazy in those times.

Also used to play the Marvel slots at William Hill. Christmas Day morning 2007, had my monthly bonus from William Hill paid in which was about 30 quid. Played 3 quid a go on a marvel slot and hit a random jackpot for £15k. That was in my account within 2-3 days.

No SOW requests, mental bonuses, freebies galore from Ladbrokes which was my main haunt back in the day. They even gave me a free trip to Vegas on Virgin and staying at the Venetian for 3 nights with a few hundred quid spending. Crazy times.

LOL all clones of each other, there was Jane Blonde and some safari themed one as well, they had 5 or 6 'Thunderstrucks'. Simmo used to love Thunderstruck, I remember that much.

Dunno if BDBA Megaspins is still about but it was lethal on just 90p base (3.60 spin) slam stopping the feature or big wild/picture 5OAKS in.

Am I missing something lol.

Thunderstruck and ladies night and Jane Blonde are still around. And the safari one was Adventure Palace which is also still available.

Pretty sure thunderstruck and ladies night are still around.

That's a good point. Maybe a lot of people think they became extinct after Microgaming got repurposed into Games Global. The messaging was a bit lacking that it was 'business as usual' and many of the old favourites would still be around.

However, @paul7388 makes a good point, this thread is all about the games you can no longer play. They have been decommissioned, removed for licensing reasons, or just no longer available for any number of reasons.

That's what I thought, I think the issue around availability is that on Viper you had each and every MG slot, when they went to html 5 casinos simply called their own selection from the inventory and would maybe choose one or none of those clones, leading players to doubt availability.

We can add: Guns N Roses to this topic :(

Dear Partner,

Please be informed that the game Guns N' Roses Video Slot (NetEnt) has been taken down in all jurisdictions today, October 15th, 2025 due to expired licence for this slot game.

The game is being discontinued, so please remove it from your portfolio.

I too miss LOTR. Girls with guns was not as good visually, but I did play it.
Hours and hours spent on TDK, such a great slot. Loved Terminator 2 as well. Cashanova.

I really enjoyed the Wheel of Wealth multiplayer slot.

I miss Treasure Island, The GeeGees and the other pub slots.

Great Blue and Penguin Vacation from Playtech, and the 3x3 8 line Chinese Kitchen.

I miss Dragonborn from BTG.

Piggy Riches Megaways from Red Tiger. I do like What The Fox, but harder to get a good hit. Also miss Gonzo's megaways.
