whats your favorite casino software?

This is influenced a lot by the all round casino experience. I'm tempted to say MG because of the stellar service @ 32RED - Which makes the whole piece engaging and fun.

Purely on a software basis however and the quality/immersion factor of the games - I'd put them (currently) in this order:

1) NetEnt
2) Microgaming
3) RTG
4) Intercasino (Cryptologic)
5) Wagerworks

You can't beat MG for variety and choice, whereas NetEnt are taking the slots rule book, stealing the basics - then tearing up the rest and doing it their way. Superb, beautiful illustrations as well.

Im under the impression that netent pays more than the others. I have won on MG but not nearly as often/much as on netent

I'm thinking that's probably not the case, however Andy @ Redbet's comment was interesting in that he mentioned they don't take on slots with less than a 95% RTP...

This would therefore mean that NetEnt slots produce a RTP above 95% which, if representative across the board, is excellent to know.

I think we're all just used to MG. If you trawl the Winner Screenshots thread there are plenty of monster MG hits; most notably on the similarly high variance/volatile slots (BDBA - I'm looking at you.)

Wagerworks number 1. You may be surprised given that there are relatively few of them but you don't get rogue WW casinos and seldom any complaints. The games are old but still fun and tested, the original HV slot was probably CleopatraII.
Microgaming Number 2. Just on variety and general reliability.
Williams Number 3. Just a novel selection of games, although limited and can get tedious.
3 Dice no.4 (although I got the arse one night and quit my account after a bad session mistakenly playing a HV slot and they won't reopen lol)
Netent No.5 I find them playing as if they use exactly the same algorithms as some MG slots. Wild rockets/Evolution seem to play predictably like TSII for example in this pattern: Shit feature 5-20x stake a few times. Then one 30-60x stake. A couple more shit ones. Then you get the 150-250 x 'good feature' followed by more shite ones. The long stretches without any feature then a glut of them a la TSII. Then knowing 4 scatters guarantees you a shit-to-mediocre return...zzzzz.......DoA is a copy of BDBA except that the freespins jackpot is formulated by 5 wilds sticking several times instead of one 5x sapphires/gold bars with wild on the freespins, and the scatters payout on 3,4,5 unlike BDBA.

IMO Playtech is pretty good but dragged down by the number of rogue operators.

Yes, that's why I omitted them. Apart from a few big-name bookmakers' sites even the 'good' ones enforce a vile 96-hour reversal period. If it wasn't for that, I'd have put them at number 3.

Well put.
I'm doing pretty well on Playtech in 2013 (at decent casinos) so I'd put them number 1 just now.
Give me Penguin Vacation and Marilyn Monroe over 243 line hypes like IR any day

MG/Cryptologic joint second. Although Intercasino are miles behind playtech in terms of slick graphics etc, I still get some nice payouts on their dinosaur era slots from time to time.

RTG right at the bottom of the list for me.

Intercasino slots were the crappest I ever played. RTG are mind-numbing and volatile, and seem to be 4 different slots each cloned 15 times. I agree IR is awful. Cryptologic - too many rogues.

At the moment it's netent, but grrrrrr it's doing my head in, this dead or alive slot, I love Jack and the beanstalk and piggy riches.

Followed then by playtech then microgaming.

playtech- penguin vacation and great blue are my favorite.

microgaming- center court, immortal romance, dark knight and thunderstruck are favorites.

Least fav is rtg.

Sorry to be boring, but I agree with most who have posted before me;
NetEnt closely followed by MG (NetEnt win due to the originality and entertainment value of their slots)

Worst, also RTG. Their slots are all slightly different - but they all look, and more importantly, sound the same. A little bit of imagination in this department would go a long way IMHO...

rtg = poor poor & poorer ) neck & neck netent mg , considering my play at both pound for pound along bets played netent wins hands down , but i like unique games like 3 dice , jackpotparty so im on the fence to be honest because i do get great play within all of them , if your asking lost funds losing far too much that goes to mg casinos across pretty much all of them , but having said that ive just started enjoying netent so mg casinos better watch this space because my deposits are going netents way ), but they play smooth , nice change .

Best: Microgaming
Worst: Wagerworks

I would say best is RTG caused by the really nice slots over there. But due to their "max payout" i do not play or recommend this software any longer.

Netent and Playtech.
RTG casinos must be the one i like the least. Feels like you're going around in a ghost casino which was abandoned 50 years ago. And when you finaly win you dont know if there will be a real human sitting in the cage ready to pay you, or some skeleton which only got some dust to offer.

Not a big fan of the rival slots either. Feels like you cant win more than 3xbet.

Aristocrat software is my ultimate favourite but hardly any casinos run them so Netent and MG would be the ones I mostly play;) I like RTG as well, but they hardly ever pay out :)

Favorite...

1. Netent: The slots just seem to pay more. The graphics are also some of the best.
2. Playtech: I swore I'd never play this software again after the Speilo incident, I gave it another chance and I'm on a great winning streak. My favorite games are Penguin Vacation and Mr Cashback.

Not so favorite...

3. Micogaming: Shame to because MG used to be my number one. I'm not a fan of the funkified loosing streaks. Getting a good combo on BDBA is like pulling teeth out compared to the above two casinos.
4. RTG: My deposits arent very big. I'll always take a bonus. I play RTG purely for entertainment. I just find the low return on features rather disgusting.
5. Cyptologic: NEVER-WON-A-DAMN-THING! I've only ever played Intercasino but my god those slots are TIGHT! I won't play Crypto anymore due to my bad run at Intercasino.

My choices are based on the reasons I play. I'm a slots player and tend to play for entertainment and the chance at a big win.

3Dice and Betsoft. Lastly, Betonsoft, which is very different than Betsoft.

I don't really play RTG anymore because of the poor returns and the previously mentioned limit on max wins.

I don't particularly like Rival because of the previously mentioned poor returns these days, but I will play occasionally.

 It's probably the single software provider that hasn't got any!

I think you're getting mixed up with RTG or Playtech.

Only Betfair has Crypto games in arcade section, but yes, wouldn`t call them Crypto casino.

Myself:

Favourite - NetEnt and Crypto

Good - Microgaming, Play n Go, Playtech (but wouldn`t play in Playtech only casinos) and WMS

Rubbish software IMO - BetSoft, BetOnSoft, CTXM.

For me probably MCG and RTG- I know RTG slots can be super streaky but I have had most of my biggest wins on RTG - The only 2 that have come close on MCG were the late lamented Lord of the rings slot (I had some consistently high wins and the dark night sucks in comparison) and BDBA. I do like the VP on Playtech but as others have stated the reverse withdrawal times and payouts are just far too slow.

NET ENT- I have opened a couple of the of the CM recommended ones- 10bet and Redbet however I am yet to throw any serious money in there- WHY- because my computer always has problems with flash games- I would love to play more but the drop outs and delays spoil the fun- SO NETENT how about a download version please then I can lose as much money on DOA as I do on BDBA!:)

NordicBet have a download version
(I think they are the only one).

BTW, I think you're getting 10Bet confused with someone else - they don't have NetEnt games.

Very interesting thread this one. I'm surprised at so few people saying Playtech, they're the big boys in the market at the moment and seemingly not much love for their games. MG as we know are the great grandfathers of online casino games, they rarely go wrong (although Hitman and the Osbornes were pretty terrible!). Also surprised at the lack of love for Sheriff? Has anyone played much of their content? Very smooth low variance games, some cracking bonus rounds too. Quite a few operators are plugging them in these days.

as the title suggests really, whats your favorite and least favorite?

Best:
MG (but you have to sort through an awful lot of average slots to find the good ones)
Novomatic (but you have to be passionate about High variance!)
WMS
Playtech (but agree their licensing due diligence leaves a lot to be desired!!)

Worst:
RTG/Nuworks (They have a certain charm but they're losing ground fast)
Rival (Plus Sloto aside you just never know if the casino will still be there tomorrow)
CTXM (Dated)

I've never really found Net Ent "addictive" to be honest. They look nice and there are a few games I enjoyed but if I had $100 to spend on slots and Net Ent was the only option, I'd probably go out and buy lots of chocolate :p

IGT & Aristocrat have some good games but they feel a bit dated to me now. One of the most annoying things about these two is the number of games where you have to get the free-spin triggers on specific reels. I hate that so it limits my options. But still agree that Cleo II is awesome and the first Star Trek also excellent.

This would therefore mean that NetEnt slots produce a RTP above 95% which, if representative across the board, is excellent to know.

I've only logged a handful so far but for the record, all those I have are between 96% & 97% in fact.

Recently, their games haven't been great IMO. Thor & John Wayne were the only two in the past 6 months I really liked and even then, I've only been back to play them, what, twice maybe? Plus they have changed the bet increments on a lot of them so the gaps are just too big. Means unless you flat-bet (which I don't) they are no fun to play. Have to admit I've lost interest this year and not played but they still *look* the business.

Yea have to agree on that. They're very good at the design phase but I've found myself leaning more towards Mrgreen and the mixed platforms of late. I've spent a good amount of time playing some IGT lately, I never used to be a fan but I won a hefty amount on the new Star Trek game and been playing ever since. I dare say I'm up quite a bit at Mr green, a decent operator who never seem to get a mention in the UK 'scene' - I highly recommend them!
