Hey guys,

This year for me has been one with very much lows and only a couple of highs when it comes to gambling.
And I came this year to an astonishing conclusion.
Where MGS was always my number one brand they have fallen deep on the ladder for me.
Where 2013 was a brilliant year for me on MSG,in 2014 I have been beaten, tortured and shot by MGS.
On multiple slots I am so far behind that I cannot believe it with constant RTP % of 60% and lower.
Main examples are League of Fortunes (Redbet) and Playboy (Guts) but there is a few more to add.
Those slots murdered my bankroll multiple times without a significant win,and yes I know they are multi high variance but still.
I feel MGS has chosen a new path and I don't like it as their slots seem to act different.
It started for me with AvalonII and everything released after that did not bring me any luck except a few 50-100x stake wins maybe.
Where free spins seemed to come in at a steady 150 spins avg it now looks more like 400-500 spins.
It could be a coincidence or a case of bad luck but at any given casino where I have played MGS this year it seems to be the case.
So yeah,MGS is not as often played anymore and it will even get lesser and lesser if this keeps going on.

My new favourite is WMS,easy to play slots and I like their theme's.
The reels might be gimped but the slot will display the reels needed so I have no issues with that.
They have a range that is medium variance and I just love them.
Loads of 25-250x bet wins and it keeps you playing for a long time.
Had also some great hits this year on Bierhaus,Montuzuma,Amazon Queen,Raging Rhino,Black KnightII,Ruby Slippers,ZeusIII,Kronos,Jungle Wild and Fire Queen (Double Money Burst).
Fire Queen is so cool because I love the music in the free games,I can listen to that for hours and sometimes when I hit FS I let the music play for a few minutes,it's so trancy-ambient....Love it..
Defo WMS gave me personally the best playing experience of this year and I might stick to them for a while as I get to make withdrawals also.

On a sidenote I also enjoyed Play n Go and even Netent this year.
Both brands delivered me some nice player experience and a few nice wins on the side.

Defo MGS is the big loser for me,tighter than tight slots and a good second is Novomatic, also not very pleasurable anymore. :eek2:

Just my 2 cents.

Mark.

Agree with pretty much all of what you're saying.

I just got into online casinos in Feb this year so I can't compare to previous years, but I do remember when I first signed up at euro palace and royal vegas that I had reasonable success from MG slots in particular IM and Thunderstruck II -- my bet range was always between 1.50 and 3 with the odd flutter of 6 plus if bankroll was over 2k. I made very high deposits at both casinos and I was Diamond Tier at one of them and Platinum at the other in under three weeks.

Then I took a little break and in April/may got back into it and after reading here discovered that there were a plethora of online MG casinos (I was quite naive in the beginning regarding online casinos - so much that I didn't even know about loyalty points and failed to claim over 200,000 points at these two casinos).

Since mid year to now I too have noticed that the overall payouts on the popular MG slots has been poor to horrendous -- too much to be a coincidence at many MG casinos -- a common scenario is going 800 spins with one feature and maybe if you're lucky a big win (75-100x) -- even base game wins are poor. Eg: playing GoT yesterday made a $50 deposit with $25 bonus - bets 0.30 - got down to $58 when it the FS after 250 approx spins -- got very lucky and won $31 so my balance now $90 -- then came the crap -- a further 600 spins at $0.30 and no feature and no cash but what ticks me off is the poor base game return - to go 50 spins without any win and then when you do you hit three J's is very deflating.
So OP I can definitely empathise.

Is there actually something in this?

When it comes to TFROL, I am 100% sure that they have turned down the RTP since it came
out. But I have also noticed going 4-600 spins with no feature on the other 243 ways much more often than before.

The only slot where I had this happen before was dark knight rising (6-700 spins). Now it seems to happen on all of them.

However the guy claiming he goes 5000 spins between MG features in the other tread I do not believe one second. :)

As usual, during the last days of the year I am doing some final balance.
I did begin with online gambling on 2003 and since then I have been playing everyday.
I am used with bad streaks and I am expert enough to manage them.

This year has been negative.
What it made it so negative has been NetEnt.
Going thru the last 200 deposits, my numbers are awful.
To the most expert ones, my numbers are double awful, being myself a low-roller, and so my number of spins is considerably high.
we are talking about an overall RTP lower than 50% on 200plus deposits.

Sincerely, few weeks ago for the very first time I lost my grip and I said some really bad things to a casino operator.
I mean, REALLY BAD. (I am on the naughty list I know). Now I regret since there is no excuse but... YES I am convinced that there is something wrong with NetEnt. My feeling is that they have different RTPs on different markets (Countries).
I am even more convinced after having tried to play on NetEnt casino at a different latitude, during one recent business trip I did to North Europe. Sad but true.

As about other platforms, well I live in Italy and so I am forced to play only on a restricted number of casinos, unfortunately.
You can hardly imagine the envy I feel when I read your posts about GUTS, BET AT (the good one, not the .it), 32 RED (same story), or other excellent casinos I can't play at.
Also, there is no way here to play WMS (only in B&M casinos), and also the online brands like MGS, Playtech, are...."regulated".
Anyway, despite the regulamentation, I had some good hits on MGS and Novomatic and these hits were making less dramatic my total loss.

Paradoxically, the only software which is acting HERE exactly the same way is acting on other markets is RTG.
Maybe I shall reconsider them for year 2015, even if I admit I don't like their games that much.

Long story short, to give a reply to the OT, worst has been NetEnt, best has been Novomatic (and maybe MGs a little bit).
