What was the latest movie you saw?

The last thing I watched was about an hour ago and it was the latest episode of "the deadliest catch"... I cried my bloody heart out- one of the best captains on the show "Phil Harris" died of a heart attack and what surrounded it was so upsetting.

He had his son on the boat who addmitted to Phil that he had a drug problem and after that Phil walks downstairs in the wheelhouse and has a massive heart attack. All the other captains who are strong men are also in tears.. Was a very moving episode i must say.

Prior to that was on Friday night, me being the party animal that iam went and hired a movie and got a pizza instead of going out on the piss.

Anyways, the movie was hurt locker- I didnt mind the movie at all but was confused by the ending or the moral to the story..

What so he gets his kicks from taking apart bombs and this is where he feels most alive???- What and then goes home to the wife and kids but that is a dull boring life so he goes out again for another tour??, this is basically what I got from it in regards to the characters story anyway.

I've been getting right into the doco's lately- well and truely over the reality t/v shit as well as the Twilights etc- that movie twilight is a perfect example of us dumbing down as a society. what a shit movie with no substance to it at all.

Watched it Tues. evening in the States.

How was the episode Nash- very heart felt wasnt it mate??

i read that Phil told them to keep the camera's rolling because he wanted other fathers/families to see that family is more important than anything else.

I think Phil also new he was going to die, he said he loved his boys 9unlike the other times, asked Jake for one last smoke and past away that night..

He didnt want to go until he new Jake was getting help for the drug problem..

Next weeks episode is about the other skippers and talking about phil..

Ive got to take my hat of to Sig Hansen- what a bloody hard worker and strong man he is.when he found out about Phil he just broke down and started to cry, as did Jonathon from the 125FOOT time bandit.

That show really moved me

Same_old, you summed it up. Also watched the tribute show that immediately followed which was a
tribute to Phil's life. The sons seem to be doing well and the show really was a celebration of Phil's life.

I never miss a show of Deadliest Catch, and last weeks episode was a real tear jerker..Very emotional episode. The footage of Phil in the hospital, when he was talking to his son got me choked up.

I just seen The Book of Eli and it was good. I also saw The Crazies, and it was ok.

Brooklyn's Finest is also another good one.

I think I am going to go watch The Boondock Saints...again. I love that movie.

If you're into oldschool gambling/poker movies, check out The Cincinnati Kid, from 1965. It's an awesome flick with Steve McQueen in the lead role.

Another great one is The Hustler, from 1961 with Jackie Gleason and Paul Newman. This one's about hustlin' pool :p

There will be more tribute to Cap Phil this Tuesday also. I am going to miss him, he was my favorite on the show, I can't see watching it without him:(.

Last movies I saw AT THE MOVIES were Toy Story 3 (cried my ass off at the end) and A-Team (which was much better than I thought it would be, but Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper....not hard to be a good watch).
May go see Cyrus with John C. Reily and Jonah Hill tomorrow, it's kind of an indy pic so only playing at selected theatres. Also will be checking out Inception in IMAX this week, prolly.
