First off, this is the most popular online casino site on the internet right? Before i found this site, i had no idea there was any forum that was big as this one. I would figure there aren't that many people who play online casinos and thus the forums wouldn't have so many users.

I like to know here... of the regular posters on this forum, what percentage of you guys are actually up money in total?

I see a lot of people here talk about slot machines etc. I do not really know the fascination about slot machines. But of course someone else can say the same thing about blackjack for example.

What im curious is... are the regular posters that post here... are you playing a casino game where you are +EV? Or there isn't any game like that? I know about bonuses but with bonuses, the rollover is almost always too high where its not +EV.

So what im curious is... do most of you just play online casinos because you enjoy it even though you lose? Im very curious what percentage of you guys who are regular posters here net winnings in online casinos? The issue with this is even if you win, well most of the time you will come back and then as you play longer, the house has the edge and then you eventually lose it back if you play long enough.

Because from reading this forum, it sounds like quite a lot of you guys are winners. But i assume almost all of this is due to luck since every game you guys play the house has an edge right? I know slots they have a huge edge. The thing is many of you on this forum seem to be very smart and intelligent. So im wondering why would you play online casinos unless you have some type of edge?

I like your post a lot and your questions. Sorry but way to tired to go into anything specific right now hope one day soon as my "other" work is cracking me down at moment thats how it is in the "logistic" world right now before Christmas :) I am sure someone will chime in soon or tomorrow

It's called gambling . Yes the house has an edge but you can still win TODAY :D
I'm down a lot at slots but I'm up a lot more at poker so for me it's just a gamble and I enjoy it . I'm sure some people have an edge or close to it by taking the right bonuses playing the high rtp slots etc and strictly cashing out when it is the right time to do so... I wouldn't mind doing that but if it entails 1000 spins on boring low volatilty slots then that takes away the whole point of it for me which is a gamble with hopefully a bit of fun and excitement thrown in . I know BJ is higher ev but I find it boring plus you can only double your money per round

I'm very much up, from playing slots, and I wouldn't gamble any other way, other than slots.
How else could you win 10,000+ times your stake? Which I have done, and that's without taking into account progressive jackpots, which I actually very rarely play.

I know I'm up because I deposit (almost) exclusively with Neteller, which keeps my gambling funds separate from my personal money.
The last time I transferred some money into neteller was at the beginning of September. which was £100, since then I've made transfers to my bank from Neteller of £8,,500, bought a 4K tv, a 4k laptop and a PS4 (using my Neteller+ card), and Ive still currently got a balance in Neteller of around £900. ALL from that initial £100

And I only ever make deposits at any casino of £50-£100. BUT, almost always with a bonus.

The only skill involved is, knowing the games you play (I tend to stick to only 10-12 games), knowing the optimum stakes to play at for each particular game/your balance, knowing when to change games, and more importantly.... Knowing when to withdraw.

If i deposited, say, £50 with a £50 bonus, make it through the wagering with an end balance of, only £150-£200. I'll withdraw that, rather than try for more. Because that's another 3-4 deposits. That way, it keeps my gambling funds topped up, so I can play whenever I want to, or whenever there's a decent bonus to be taken.
I'd never deposit £200 straight cash. So why would I play on, in the hope of winning more? That's the mistake that most players make.

The main reason I play with a bonus, is it gives me an 'end point', when the wagering is completed, plus I do enjoy the challenge of wagering, so long as it's not ridiculously high

So that's my 'strategy'

My view is almost identical to Brianmon above

I was an "advantage player" from 2001 to 2010 and I literally made profit from using bonuses at online casinos for 10 straight years.
I made very detailed reports of all my play and so know this for a fact. I published my results on my website for anyone to view here: Old / Expired Link (2001-2007, there is a link on that page to view 2008 to 2010) There are also screenshots of my best slots wins each month from 2005 onwards, when I switched from playing mostly table games to mostly slots...

I stopped recording my play after that, partly due to having our second child (I am basically the "house husband"), but mainly because I got bored with it and didn't need to do it any more. My profit had paid-off ALL my debts (except the mortgage!) and given me a "healthy gambling budget" I still carried on playing, and to this day I reckon I gamble online at least 330 days of every year, but now it's just for "fun" and I don't record my play, deposits, withdrawals, etc any more.
I have good wins, and bad losses - but it's all just entertainment for me these days. I WANT to win, of course, but it doesn't really matter if I lose because I ONLY play with disposable income which has NO effect on my family life.

For those too lazy to look, these were my results from those 10 years:
2010 total: +$6,914
2009 total: +$8,464
2008 total: +$12,313
2007 total: +$8,427
2006 total: +$4,399
2005 total: +$5,008
2004 total: +$1,705
2003 total: +$4,059
2002 total: +$5,174
2001 total: +$576
