What is the story behind your username?

I've entrusted this secret to one other member here, Superhero style :eek2:

It's very short and not worth anyone's time, but I will confirm it doesn't involve goats :D

Ok, so if it's not 'goat wack' it must be 'go a twack'.

If that's the case, a 'twack' is to do with crystal meth and as extracted from the Urban Dictionary .....

My first social networking game was DDR but I don’t suppose many will be old enough to remember it.... it was an online dance game and you could dance in a team or with a partner.
Selecting a name that showed I was both female (babe) and a good dancer (‘Supa’ as ‘super’ was taken) seemed to get me noticed. I stuck with it as it always seemed to be available. I also liked ‘Harmony’ but could never get my hands on it lol x

Oh my God Richy haha, I'll let it slide that you just called me retarded meth head, for old times' sake :laugh:

You forget, there are other uses for twacking, thusly:

My username is my "DJ Name", although I've largely given that up to focus on Poker these days.
I searched high and low for a name that was connected to stars, astronomy, and so on... couldn't find anything suitable. So I switched to Norse Gods and the first name that stood out was Valhalla. When I join a new forum nowadays I either use Valhalla or IamValhalla, one of those is usually available.

And for what it's worth, it's not "DJ Valhalla" when I'm gigging, it's simply Valhalla. Drives me mad when they post flyers featuring DJ Valhalla. Just looks so cheesy.

Megadrive is 16-Bit, come on Robby :p

Unless you mean Saturn / Dreamcast :)

Cmon ! I mean _--->

I first used the nickname mcgameboy way back in 2000, IIRC. It was basically when I first started playing online poker.
It was to play some freeroll tournaments using the very old PokerPages software.

The thing about those Poker Pages freerolls that was pretty awesome was that the overall winner would get a seat to the WSOP Main Event, which back then, was a VERY BIG deal for an amateur/freeroller. I even remember the name of the guy who won it. He was a Brit called Mark Leah aka slimmouse.
And by winning this PokerPages tournament, he achieved a famous first. He was the first person to qualify for the WSOP ME via online poker.
And then he became the first person to do that twice (he qualified again in 2001, at Pokerstars, the year they were launched).

Anyhow, enough of the history lessons.

The mc part of my name comes from my initials.

And the gameboy part....well I'm just a big kid at heart, who loves to play games (video, board, card, whatever).
I do seem to remember owning a Nintendo (a Super NES) at the time, but mcsupernes would have sounded proper naff, so I went with a different Nintendo product instead (Gameboy). And I guess it just kind of stuck, mainly because I'm a proper lazy so and so lol. :oops:

And yeah, there have been times when I questioned the creation of said username, especially when playing online poker.
Win a pot at the expense of the wrong guy and I would end up getting called mcGAYboy instead (if poker chat transcripts were to be taken as absolute gospel, then I must be the gayest straight guy on planet Earth).

I was a singer back in the 70's and 80's in NYC. My partner and I had the good fortune one night to sing in
front of Red Auerbach who was then a coach of the Boston Celtics.
He liked our performance so much he gave us a very generous tip and sent us a bottle of champagne.
I turned to my friend and said "Steve, we're almost famous".

when i first started to use the internet, whatever i was on asked for a nickname,, so i had no clue,, looked at my dog and said hummm okay sounds good,, her name was buttkiss and just added 56 , and buttkiss56 was born, she is no longer with us so i really have a daily reminder of her, she was an awesome dog

hi, its just my name, I have chosen it as fightname at boxing, christina lady hammer and of course kept the same name for my own online casino brand. if you google for lady hammer you will get all the results, so there is no reason to change it here at casinomeister forum. Looking forward to meet Bryan and Jelena at Amsterdam in July and if you are interested in boxing I would appreciate if you watch my next world championship title defense June 22nd at Detroit (US).

I signed up using the FB registration key, soooo..... Kelly Jo is pretty self explanatory.

My username on other sites is usually: key11jkr

key11 = ke11y = kelly

&

jkr = joker = Jo

Whoaaaa, many, many answers in a short time! What a super surprise and so many fun stories! I had to make myself a coffee in these late hours, so I can fully enjoy reading all your posts! How entertaining! Another proof how simply FANTASTIC Casinomeister members are!!! :cheers:

btw. Back in the days I created this username, I had zero knowledge about slots and other casino games (not that I have some impressive now :D ), but I had to write something around in the forums, to be friendly and active - again, to be able to deserve url signature. Hahah, can imagine my nonsense chatty posts without any relation to gambling lol

Robby i never joke about others children nor i find this "joke" of yours amusing...so buzz off :rolleyes:

I don't think Robby's native language is English. I remember reading a post by Robby about his father on a Father's day thread. He noted that it took him hours to translate properly using Google Translate. It was very touching but you could tell that his struggle was real. Google Translate sucks. JS. Robby doesn't know this, but we are both members of a similar forum. He submitted the same Father's Day story to a contest on that site. His user name differed from this one and subsequently, he was accused of stealing content from this site, then he was publicly called out for cheating, and banned from further contests. I saw what had happened and tried to shine a light on the misunderstanding. Long story short-- I got banned, too. I understand how one might get their hackles up-- thinking a joke is being made at the expense of a child. I just don't think this is the case . It is a language barrier. Robby is a good dude. Google Translate is a jerk.

Years ago I was at a bowling center with some friends and everyone had to put their names into the computer. Instead of my real name I called myself Bowling King but the computer couldn’t handle two names and changed it to BoKi. I totally suck at bowling so everyone made fun of the Bowling King afterwards and the name got stuck in my head.

4 letters are not allowed on a lot of websites so I added a „w“ and here we are.
