What happened to Safebet.org?

I think this used to be a fake watchdog site. I don't see it listed on Casinomeister anymore. And if you go to "safebet.org" it's just a page of some advertisements.

What's the deal with safebet.org? Is there information here on Casinomeister somewhere that I cannot find?

rtg let the domain name expire and a smart person pick it up and its a portal now
And rightly so. Many who played at RTG casinos several years ago, including myself, were impressed by their so-called platinum certifications of approval for casainos like black widow, cleopatra and grand banks. When you ask them to help you out, they dodge with all sorts of excuses. What scums.

Do a search in Casinomeister News and you'll find details of the takeover of the domain, I think over a year ago.

Thankyou, Jetset, and all others for your information.

ha! Yes, I have seen somewhere that the safebet seal is still in use on some sites. That prompted me to check their site again and I found the new portal.

Again, thanks all for the help.

And I think I've mentioned (here in the forum somewhere) that if anyone still has a Safebet logo on their casino website either they are A) too bloody lazy to make the change B) too bloody stupid to make the change or c) originally part of the scam or D) all of the above

Evryone and their brother (including RTG) knew it was a phony watchdog site. RTG decided to let the domain lapse and some webmaster picked it up. The only traffic it really gets is from the casinos that still sport the logo (C. Palace, Windows I believe). I removed them from the "Fake Watchdog" section because they are now a non-entity.

So i sent e-mail to iNetBet, that they have forgot remove this logo...

And here is reply:

Dear X
Thank you for your continued support.
We have removed all our Safebet logos almost 2 years ago, however some
sites, like Gambling.com, who do not regularly update their information
will
still display this old picture and information, even though as I said
we
removed them 2 years ago.
We were the first RTG to join this watchdog site and thought at the
time it
would be run in a proper manner.
Although whilst we were a member we never had cause to use them or did
our
players, so we really had nothing to do with them, then we started
reading
the complaints and we decided to distance ourselves from them an remove
all
references.
I will arrange to mail gambling.com but we have done so before and have
not
heard anything back from them.
Kind regards.

Hi there,

I do remember you! Thank you very much for taking the time to send me
an email.

If you go to security page right now, you'll see that I have deleted
the SafeBet link and all the text that assured we were in accordance with
the standards set by this organization.

I have to send an apologize not only to you but all the players that
take the time to visit our website since I did not do anything to correct
this when you brought this to the table.

Thank You for giving us another chance and for helping us to make our
casino a better place to play...I really hope you like Shark!

Please feel free to contact me any time. I will always be here for you.

Warm regards

Laura Chacon
Casino Manager
