Personally, I think blackjack is the easiest to start with. The rules are simple, but many new players don’t know when to stop, they follow their feelings instead of the numbers... What about you? What game did you start with, and what advice would you give to someone playing for the first time?

Agree with you there, Blackjack was the first game I played at a land based casino and subsequently online. However, I soon progressed onto slots, which I feel are more fun, varied, can be highly volatile depending on the slot and can produce great one hit wins.
My stint also started with Blackjack, then roulette, and I eventually migrated to slots. Hitting the Free Spins was more exciting than beating the dealer.

Plus, you could sit and spin at your leisure and not be prompted by a dealer or pushed by the gent behind you trying to place a bet over your shoulder.

Well Roulette can't be any simpler. Just put money on a number. 3 card poker is not much harder, just remember the brag hands and call if you have Q64 or better, Best play on craps is easy, just choose pass or don't pass and ignore all other options.

Single zero roulette is basically "idiot proof". You can't possibly play it "badly"
