Feedback Videoslots Weekly races ?

I played continually for over an hour (amount of time per clash is 119mins) on Monday/Tuesday. Bet size varied between 40p and £1.
Still didn’t make it to win even 5 spins.
It’s a set up to reward the high rollers I guess x

Not rly why would a highroller want some 10p fs
The only people who will win these spin clashes are the truly dedicated crazy types willing to do 1000s of spins at hyper speed

No its not. I played for 2 hours 2-10 dollar bets. Deposited 1k and still didn't place. I'm going to miss the casino race money for sure, but it is what it is.

You have to check what the details are for the active race. Some give only 1 point / spin irrespective of the bet size. Others have up to 4 different amounts of points based on the bet size.

Bebo67 Im going to miss the race money terribly. I really am hating this new Clash of Spins. I don't find it interesting at all and terribly hard to place. I have to admit it was not a nice feeling when 12.15pm rocked around today. Normally I would receive a nice boost to my balance when the race money hit but today nothing, zilch. To say I am not impressed with this change is an understatement. I hate it!!

Even though I will miss the races I see it as a good thing VS trying something different and something new. Some people will like it and some won't but that comes with every change I guess.
I can't see this change as a good thing? To go from being guaranteed some cash back from the races each week to a chance to win some fs that you might win something off???? Why change something that doesn't need to be changed? I personally feel this is a backward step for VS.

I have to agree.

Don't want to start new topic about VS as so many already keep going up, jut got today again email about free roll races and can almost be sure that i don't qualify for these or then i've been wagering there far much more when sleeping or something what i haven't realize. Would be nice not to receive offers you are not entitled to.

You qualify for the extra races if you did so for last week's SnG weekend.

Same answer as for bebo67 :)

So have any members managed to win on a ‘clash’?
I will miss the race money on Mondays but I respect that VS need to do what is necessary (or what they believe is the right thing to do) in order to continue to run successfully

I haven't deposited since they launched and only played a few bucks CB and SnG winnings, so no, haven't won anything yet.

We all gonna miss the race money, but we will also see success stories were 5 or 10FS from the CoS have led to a good withdrawal.

My gaming budget arrived today though, so will have a crack at it later and let you know how I do. :)

I did get some odd win last week that I had no clue why it was there. It was 5 freee spins on that Exclusivo....whatever it's called :p. Gave nothing.

I played like a dervish 5 days ago on 30p spins for 3 hours and I just found myself being in some sort of battle. I got nothing from it after blowing £250 on the slot during that time.
Maybe you have to be very canny in choosing your time to play and what slot to play in order to benefit at all from these new battles? I've not had time to check it all out properly yet so I will reserve my judgement

You have to check the Clash of Spins page to see what criteria are applied for the ranking. It changes almost for every race. You can also check your current ranking when you click on the active race. Pop-ups on the bottom right of your screen will tell you periodically your current place.

Needless to say, the more profitable races are at European peak-hours. Quite understandable though.

Its not going to be worth chasing the fs in any of the spin clash . Literally need to do 1000s of spins to win 5 or 10 fs . Even if you do minstake bets the whole time the fs will still only be worth <0.5% of the actual amount you wagered
If you want to try and win the clash haha good luck you'd better find a fast slot and have a big bankroll to win your 100 fs on rocket fellas :p

So much for Videoslots being an advocate for responsible gambling and gambling being "a positive form of entertainment"

well i for one dont see the rewards to players in it at all
my deposits for last week was $1931 my rewards 5 spins on Esqueleto Explosivo where i won 3 cent and 10 spins on Gemix where i won nothing
i wanna be rewarded for my play no matter what time it
i sit down and play regardless when next clash is starting :)
i will play at VS regardless of races or clashes as they are top notch when it comes to payouts and support.

Shows how good we had it there, for a long time

I think if they're that intent on cutting costs then just get rid of the Races altogether and keep Cashback.

Just getting less for the same price, they re-name it something else and call it an improvement. Like Apple products :D

But at least with Apple products you can make Cider so you can get pissed in order to get over your losses

Two hours of play and the first reward - 25FS on Jaguar Temple.

And the winnings

£2.50 worth of spins after wagering £1000's over 2 hours is not conductive to responsible gambling. I can see these races dying a death because only those who where going to play anyway on a high stake while fast spinning will benefit by default. Everyone else will just not bother.
When will the Friday cash back get changed?

I think that we should not take any of kickbacks as a "get rich" scheme, they never will. Just like at any other casino, they are retention tools which can give you a boost once in a while.

I am pretty sure if you collect once a day a reward from the COS that at least once a week you will get some good pays from them which will be at least similar to the usual race winnings.

Personally, I look at it like an add-on and do not concentrate at all where I rank. Can't be bothered, to be honest. TBH, I favored as well the once a week race winnings as you got it in a lump sum, with races it is more like a drip-feed.

But I agree to a part that races are not in the best interest of responsible gambling. Especially for people who are competitive or prone to hunt such rewards as the races will increase the desire to keep spinning. On the other hand, they are just for 2 hours, which is usually a normal session length. Some days you will be lucky and win some FS, some days you won't.

I think the Races and Cashback were always supposed to be extras, just that we've been spoilt and conditioned into angling for them, over many years.

Retention-tool or not they surely served the player more than the casino, and with that players learnt to erm 'optimize' returns on meagre deposits. I actually pondered many a time how VS even made profit, let alone break even.

But from a business perspective they've played the long game and are now more than entitled to crunch numbers. The fact that they even revamped the Races instead of binning them off is great testament to their ethic

I think that the races were a perfect retention tool esp for the lower rollers, while I still love VS for many other reasons I have to admit for the first time in many months I have now deposited at 3 other casinos since the change, as its clear im never gonna qualify for many FS and I would expect many more low rollers could possibly cut back or jump ship over it. I mean it was never a lot but it was a bit of playtime every week which is important to low rollers.

Like others have said it is what it is, just think they would have been better cutting the prize money on the old way and less places than the 11,000 players.

I guess if in a few months they change it back to similar to what it was it could be an indicator that we are right, that that new system wasn't working as well to retain players LOL

I agree as it is now, it is not perfect for low nor for high rollers.

But once they deploy the other two race types it will change as the bet size won't matter in equalized races. And they will probably do specials in between to keep the momentum.

Maybe it would be nice to rejig the prizes and have 3 players from the finished leaderboard chosen at random to win an extra prize of 50 free spins, or something like that. This way even if you've only managed to scrape onto the table you've still got a chance of something extra on top of your 5 spins, and stops lower-rollers despairing that the top prizes are always sewn up by the speed-merchants, or that you've only got a chance if you start playing as soon as the Clash opens.

There is quite a lot of scope for some interesting and exciting one-off races with this CoS concept. It will be intriguing to see what happens...
