Variance Ratings On Slots

New here so not sure if this has been done before, but I have learnt the hard way after getting a nice £600+ win on Bruce Lee at 60p I did well for a while but then boom, Dead Or Alive, Football Star and others bled me dry....since reading around it is well know that Dead Or Alive is very high variance which I learnt the hard way...

So can we not have a page with a bit of variance advice or am I mis led on the difference in variance on different slots?

You are right about variance. Most microgaming slots pay between 95% and 97% but variance makes huge difference. Low variance equals small frequent wins. High variance equals long dead spin sessions with occasional big wins. Like you I learned the hard way. Whatever you do bet with a predetermined amount and never chase losses

Tell me about it,my highest hit is in the 400x stake region but this was on a €1.80 spin in the first session I ever played this slot...
After that wins between 0x and like maybe 200x...

Yep, and that supposed RTP of between 95%-97% is, and remains, and always will be, unproveable to and by US - the suckers that play 'em.

That's the reason why I fell out of "love" with slots after just a few weeks of playing them.

I'll stick to Blackjack, Roulette and small stakes poker, thanks.

I agree we are suckers to an extent. I have got carried away over last month but now reined it in to a tenner a week. I suppose I seek a big win. I've been quite lucky and my winnings this year had exceeded my losses as I hit 200% and 300% rtp cash outs. Now I'm feeling the downside with a few awful 40% and 50% rtp sessions which have decimated my earlier gains. I'm now down but not by too much.

In the last month 'wasted' about €600 on DOA. Within last 7 days I got two wild lines (€870 alltogether). It is very moody slot.
