US Rep. Frank to Introduce New I-Gaming Legislation Thursday
House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank on Wednesday said he plans to introduce legislation addressing I-gaming as soon as Thursday.
Speaking before a community bankers group, Frank, D-Mass., called Internet gambling a "victimless crime."
"Why anyone thinks it is any of my business why some adult wants to gamble is absolutely beyond me," Frank said.
After the speech, Frank did not offer any details regarding the contents of the bill.
Media reports have that the legislation is intended repeal the U.S. I-gaming prohibition, though neither Frank nor his associates have confirmed these reports.
