Unicorn, the new Wagerworks slot

Hi,

We were expecting from Wagerwors the launch of the powerful Elvis Multistrike IGT's slot (available on Ledgaming for fun) for early Febuary and we've got the poor designed (also IGT's) Unicorn in March.
It's a 20 paying line slot, it has a bonus game, scatters and the expandable Wild feature: when you have a Wild symbol, the Unicorn, appearing on reel 2, 3 and 4 it will expands itself to the entire reel.
I'm very disapointed by the design of the slot...looks so early 2000.
Wagerworks used us to much better designed slots (Monopoly Here and now, Cluedo, Cleopatra, etc...).
I highly appreciate the fact that Wagerworks is giving an estimation of the payback percentage of this slot (96.02 %) in the paytable.
I've seen the game on BlueSQ, I don't know if it's available on all Wagerworks casinos.
It's strange that Unicorn was released before Elvis Multistrike as I remember talking to a Wagerworks staff member (wasn't a rep) in early January and she said to me that they will release Elvis Multistrike in early Febuary.
Somebody knows about this issue ?

I've not touched my Neteller account since all the shenanigans, and I'm saving it PURELY in wait for that Elvis Multistrike Slot... I'm not joking.

I'll go try unicorn in fun play now. Cheers!

Ha! I played this one quite a bit in Vegas! It's a very faithful reproduction of the original slot -- but you're right -- it's not hugely exciting! It is an old machine too!

Yeah roll on Elvis :D

Just played Unicorn - yes i've seen worse - the sounds are nice though. The odd thing is, you could understand if Wagerworks took US players why having "real" Vegas slots online would be a huge plus. But as they don't, you'd think it would make more sense to go for innovation in the meantime at least?

Or... A lot of these slots WILL be new and innovative to the large proportion of UK slot fiends, brought up on fruit machines and Blackpool one armed bandits!

It's a pity they didn't even design a decent animation for the expandable Wild like on MadHatters (MicroGaming) and Outta This World (RTG).
They just puted the 3 same Wild symbols one above the other.

It is a copy of the original slot and that is they way they expand. I have no problems with this.

It was a good slot back in 2001 and probably earned a lot of money for the casinos and therefore it was chosen for the online version. However I would have prefered a new slot with more advanced mechanics and something NEW!
I do have a problem with the insane copying/cloning/feature stealing going on though.

Ah "Outta" has that really annoying feature of expanding even when you don't win (not to mention about 5 billion symbols on reel 4)

Very good point (the Wild always expanding)...I've never noticed it.
I must admit I like this slot a lot that's why I don't see its defects.
How do you calculate how many symbols you have on one reel (I remember Zoozie does it to enter it in his Slot Analyser) ?
Normally the reels should have more o less the same number of symbols, around 24/25.
Am I wrong ?

I did have a link saved somewhere (I can't find it) where I could play Cleo for free. Anyone have a wagerworks link where US can play in free mode? Unicorn is one of my favorite B&M games. But really... games like Cleo and Unicorn are a bit long in the tooth ....

I don't think you can on RTG - I may be wrong, but I think some of their slots reels vary with each spin. Just a hunch, but if you watch (for example) the 5th Reel on Caesar's Empire and look for the Colosseum symbol go through, it can go several spins before you see it. I think it changes dynamically personally.

When this Elvis slot comes out, I'm gonna be well and truly Wager-worked!!!

Great minds think alike!

However if this is correct I would call RTG slots 'rigged' since the
virtual reels are just eye candy and not used to determine the spin. Kind of like Slotlands VP.

Another thing that supports this is the known fact that RTG can configure payout% for the slots. Unless the change the reels this is not possible for most of the slots. (Still for 'fruit frenzy' they can change random events, but
this is not the case for slots like 'Rain Dance' etc.) This is my strongest argument for this case actually.

One casino (Slotland) has allready used this method for their VP games, so it has allready happened before. Also it is much easier to implement instead of having to analyze slot payout% with freespin/wierd mechanics etc.

It is very hard to prove anything, but I wish I had been at ICE so I could have asked RTG a few basic questions about theirs slots that could have revealed it.

I don't think they'd have revealed much Zoozie! ;)

This is another reason why I love the Wagerworks slots. In a funny kind of way, because I know the five Cleos are not multiplied by three, or the five lions are not doubled - it makes me believe that the slot is truly random and there's a chance you could hit it. If that makes sense? Plus, because they're slots 'built' for a bricks and mortar market - it's likely you're getting the same payout percentages too.

I'm generally pretty happy with MG too - although I'm still not entirely convinced that the free spins don't have a pre-determined 'total win'.

They do not - trust me on this one. The spins during the free spins are the same as in the normal game. Chance of hitting 3 scatters (retrigger) is also the same as hitting 3 scatters in the normal game. Basically on EVERY spin each reel has equally probability to end up at any the possible states of that reel.

You can now follow the Unicorn to a world of thrill and magic at Virgin Casino, for cash or for free, and only a few clicks away: Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)

Apologies for the slight delay.

Frufrugirl, feel free to PM me details of your loading trouble, we'll look into it. Once your free credits run out, exit the casino browser window (this logs you out of free play) and login as a free player again by typing your email address in the games window. This will reset your free play balance to 3000 credits.

Cheers,

Hi Pierrick,

Now that we have you here, could you tell us when Elvis Multisrike slot is going to be released on VirginGames ?
Maybe you could also tell us which are going to be the next games and their release date too, if I'm not asking to much ?

Hi Alexandre,

No set date for Elvis Multi strike yet. Within 2 to 4 months seems a likely timeframe. We cant wait either :).

Two other games should be added during that time period as well, including Texas Holdem Bonus, a variation of our existing Texas Holdem Shootout Link Removed ( Old/Invalid) , and another slot game.

Ill keep you posted as soon as I know more.

Cheers,
