I have just received my renewed (on medical grounds) driving license. The notes state that new security features have been added.

One of these is VERY important, and rather troubling.....

....The new licence has improved security features not available on the older licence. One of the main differences between the two is the new version has a black and white photo while the older version has a colour one.

This could lead to SERIOUS PROBLEMS for UK players, who may be accused of sending in false or "photoshopped" licence images because of this change.

To operators - new UK driving licences with only the black and white photo ARE NOT NECESSARILY FAKE ONES!! They should NOT be dismissed merely because they bear only a black and white photo. The DVLA STILL require a colour photo, verified by someone you have known for at least 2 years, to be sent in. This is kept on file, and used as further verification.

There is every likelihood that the PASSPORT issuing office will adopt the same security feature on new passports. A black and white photo on the document itself, but colour ones on file, and available to the likes of airport security for verifying passports they have doubts about.

Remember, these NEVER WERE documents intended for ID use over the internet, and they are NOT going to hold on to a less secure format just because the online casino industry says so.
