Gambling Article Twin Spin Megaways New Slot by Netent

Had another go last night and lasted about 30 spins before i was bored. Hit Punk Rocker and grabbed a x300 within a couple of hundred spins - even if i hadnt there is enough imagination in that release to keep me interested.

Well done Netent! You released a follow up that is way worse than the original with none of its redeeming features. Not a release thats here to stay or made with any effort it seems. Seems to me like a quick money spinner by churning out the Megaways and Twinspin combo. Cant wait for the next one............

This game is bloody awful.

I gave it 2000 spins in demo mode and got one feature that paid 90x stake. (And NetEnt are so mean-spirited with demo mode, forcing a click to get rid of a 'YOU ARE PLAYING IN DEMO MODE' pop-up that stops play every 30 spins.)

They've completely broken everything that made Twin Spin great. The locked reels happen far less frequently, and having it do a total miss on Megaways reels feels much worse than on 243-wayer.

I'm sure the base game can hit if it wants to, but I didn't hit a 50x stop trigger in 2000 spins and was many hundreds of times my stake down - if it were real money it would have been carnage.

Twin Spin was already plenty volatile but it loved to do decent hits, whereas this feels far more volatile and ends up being both boring and annoying as it chews through your balance. The RTP has been nudged down a bit as well.

Oh yes and the music is shit too.

Definitely one to never play with any real funds - a textbook example of how just because you can Megaways a slot, doesn't mean you should.

Garbage.
Yes, it's crud - I remember my first play when I made my video about 6 weeks ago, shockingly boring. BTW, Netent are the only developer that have turned their product page into an affiliate site, I have never seen anything so grasping and desperate in my gaming life. So when you go to their website, the tiles for their slots which most developers allow you click and try the games, send you to sign up at a casino to try for free!

I chucked another 3000 spins or so at this last night, since we were all playing WoW together so it wasn't any great hassle to have the slot running too using Kroffe's excellent link.

I finally hit something decent in the base game, about 340x stake from a full screen of Jacks which locked all six reels, but it wasn't anything like max-Megaways. Also, because everything about this game hates you, the win doesn't even stay on the screen because of course in this scenario literally the entirety of all six reels vanish for another tumble, so instead of having a lovely big win to look at on the screen, you just have reels full of crap with 'WIN 349 EUR' displaying at the bottom.

I had a couple of decent features that paid 200-250x stake, and I'm going to stick with my guess of a feature frequency around the 1/350 mark, but my sample size isn't sufficient to be sure (does anyone have the actual number for it?).

Retriggers on the feature don't seem to be too rare, but they don't guarantee much of anything in terms of decent pays.

Oh yes and I had it lock all six reels and then do a minimum ways spin, with just two symbols on every reel, which of course the original couldn't do because it was a fixed 243-wayer.

Also this is a slot that it's very easy to get quite a bit down on in an alarmingly short period of time, the original Twin Spin was pretty volatile considering its modest top prize, but it loved to kick out mid-sized wins on a regular basis to compensate, which the new one doesn't.

Finally, the original Twin Spin was quite 'learnable' in that it came to be pretty well known what reel configurations were and weren't possible, and what pays were available from different reel locks, which is another thing I liked about it. Good luck doing that on the Megaways iteration......

Thats a really good point, I love looking at the screen when I get a rare beautiful win and grabbing a screenshot etc

What a troll machine.

After 500 spins I hit 4 scatters and had a loud: YES! Finally!.

And then I literally watched the slot for 14 seconds and thinking: why doesn't the bonus start? I even refreshed the page:laugh:. And then I looked in the paytable - this slot never again.

I've had a further day since my last post to play this further , and while i still dont mind it - ill only be giving it a few quid bash now and then just to see if i get lucky. After it took most of what I initially won back, without blinking - i managed a couple of 30-40x free spins along the way and that was it!

Probably be one of those ill give 50 spins to now and again , then walk away quickly!

Videoslots got it on 96,x %, so then I assume there is only 1 version.

I wouldn't even need to go to the game sheet. If Videoslots run it at 96% then, it is 100% guaranteed there is no other RTP for now..

If any slot can be lowered, Videoslots are usually on it like an invisible rash.. you don't see it, it doesn't announce itself, but it's there .. itching away.

Secret sources tell me its 1/409 spins.

Ouch, that's going to mean some really dry patches when someone's luck is bad, expect to see Bonanza-style feature droughts of 2000 to 2500+ spins, but without the base game RTP churn that Bonanza has.

Have there been any megawins from streamers or so?
Found nothing exciting when i looked at youtube just now.

I mean with all the bad bonuses its producing, someone somewhere must hit a big one to make up for it.
Maybe, probably.

I've seen a 6 reel join-up 117k hit which was about 400x. You'd expect better really.

Must be capable of producing similar hits but with better symbols since the max win is supposed to be 20 000x
Probably only possible to hit in the bonus with the multiplier wilds.

Bloody Awful

6 scatter trigger and 2 retriggers = 46 spins = 143x = BOLLOKS

I'm amazed anyone is throwing any real money at this game given the reports in this thread!

Personally I'm done with it now after a few thousand spins in demo play, that's told me everything I need to know about it.

I was playing the original yesterday though, as 21Casino sent me a decent bonus offer.

Twin Spin is still a fine game, and has a higher RTP too.

Dare I ask: is there a review vid coming? :p

I might mention it in passing next time I do an online slots session video, but TBH the vast majority of my play these days is at 3Dice.

Yesterday was my first deposit in over a month at a casino that wasn't 3Dice, and that was only because 21Casino sent me a decent 100% match offer.

Truth be told an awful lot of slot releases these days leave me completely cold, I was thinking wistfully the other day about all the great slots Microgaming used to have in their Viper Client, and comparing them in my mind to Twin Spin Megaways, a slot which I have precisely zero interest in ever playing with real funds.

I remember that lad when he was playing 0.4 and 0.6 slot sizes and now he suddenly is playing 10 Euros!!!

Only explanation is that he is an astute player who has used his skill and cunning to elevate his financial status through playing slots :p

Edit: Or he won the lottery or had some kind of windfall. Actually there are probably a million possible explanations. I should try not to be so cynical but with age my cynicism increases.

NetEnt used to be one of my favorite providers but these recent releases like Twin Spin Megaways aren't really tantalizing. I tossed $50 at this slot on Friday and it just wasn't fun at all... and NOT because I wasn't winning.. I thought chasing 4 scatters was a task and a chore in some of the other Megaways slots, but this slot requires 5 scatters!

I have 100X more fun losing on Megaways slots like Danger! High Voltage or Lil' Devil than I do on Twin Spin Megaways. It's a pig of a slot and the overall design and music leaves much to be desired IMO.

It's my desire... It's MY DESIRE!!! now that song is stuck in my head.

Is this really slot a Netent designed slot though or another software house?

It uses the same user interface as Ozzy Osbournes, Conan, Street Fighter 2 etc and it feels very similar to how those slots play.....shite!
