pontoon is higher risk (higher variance) than blackjack. I have had similar wins mirroring your loss in similar amounts of wagering. At $5 wagers you have a greater than 10% chance of losing your deposit. Overall the two events had a dependent probability of I guess 2%. Not great, but thems the breaks....

Tough Pontoon at William Hill

Deposit $40 and get a $40 bonus
Busted out at $632 wagering

Maybe we need to rename the game !! It does not float.

InterCasino Revisited

After two or three bust out sessions, the variance leveled out.

Got a little bit ahead and kinda went tilt.

Raised the Pontoon bet to $40.
Then $100.
Secong hand at $100 I got a Pontoon - 5 cards and doubled.

Played a while longer and dropped the bet to $40 - the dealer got two 21 pontoons in a row and I cashed out.

This is NOT blackjack.

I had amazing sessions at RTG pontoon years ago and then got the suckiest results at Crypto pontoon recently. Who says these things don't even out.....

pontoon high risk game

i was having bad times at willhill i usually play roulette and baccarate and its very bad that casinos doesnt counts them for wagering i had about 5k on wagering at willhill from past months i deposit 1000$ and played pontoon and finished wagering and had 2500$ preetty nice

Higher variance?
You're not kidding!
Last time I played it ($5 bets): Wagered 110, lost $55! :(
Makes Blackjack look positively heavenly - and that game really sucks!
Variance can go both ways. I have just wagered $85 at $5/hand and won $105. :) This sort of thing does not happen at blackjack.
