Hello

First time poster long time lurker.

While BJ and Videopoker are my favourite games occasionally i like having a go at slots. I have tried thunderstruck a number of times but always get a terrible run of outs and it seems to really suck cash. I would be interested to see if there have been some success stories i cannot seem to get warm on this slot.

I would also be interested in some other players favourite MG casinos.

Ah my favourite game. Yes it can be streaky and to stand a chance of winning you definately need a way to play it - but its the best slot out there at the mo IMHO.

I have developed a fairly simple strategy that works well for me. I have documented it Outdated URL (Invalid) with some screenshots - may or may not prove useful BBJ :)

Cheers

Interesting reading Simmo! Well done!
I'll try to ask 32Red and Casino Kingdom to reduce my "Reverse Withdrawal" time as well (by the way, does anyone knows other MG casinos that allow this?!?).
Just a little correction: you can have USD and Euro accounts also at Ladbrokes. It just depends on where you live.

Thanks Pad.

I'll update the article accordingly :)

Interesting article, Simmo ...

I've never played slots much, if at all ... but that strategy has piqued my curiousity. I may give it a run when I get some fundage in ye ole' NETeller account that I can afford to lose (since losing may very well happen).

I, personally, have never had a problem reversing my withdrawals. I just don't mess with it ... don't go to the screen, sometimes don't even access the account for a few days. Not seeing it on the screen cuts down on my temptation.

Whenever I decide to do this, if I hit it big, I'll "remember you"! :notworthy

Nice article, Simmo :) Interesting that you recommend a semi-delayed negative progression... but I understand why. I actually play the other way around... work from 45 cents on upwards - in the long run I lose less :) But I certainly would be tempted (and have) started on a higher denomination hoping the Rams are hungry and will come quickly... LOL...

My withdrawal method is as follows - pay close attention, because it's kind of complicated.

$500 or bust.

Did that make any sense? :) Just teasing...

This style suits me - it's all about taking the small money and hoping to hit a nice payout - if I lose I don't worry about it (usually start between $20 and $50). Your style is good also since it recommends withdrawals after a decent hit... just the method is the opposite :)

A very good read indeed, either way! And consider yourself remembered, I believe the ball (script) was put in your court? Or is it in mine and you hit a winner?

Thanks guys - its the way i want to be remembered. Bankrupting the innocent public :D Quite whether it competes with the Meister's Beer system only time will tell.

SM: "semi-delayed negative progression" ?? Lol. Snappy - maybe i'll hijack the term and call it Simmo's SDNP Slots Strategy - or "SSSS" - or the "3S Strategy" for short !

Great article , thankyou for sharing it. I admit i didnt really have any strategy with slots , i should really think about it alot more in future.

Maybe I've been unlucky but I've had runs of 500 spins without the rams several times. My record is 700 spins without the rams. In my experience the rams come about once every 200 spins. I haven't played a lot though so as I say, I may just have been unlucky.

Good articles, I met 300 dry-up spin today. :D
I felt that average is about 200 spin, not sure.
Plan to reduce coin to wait another Rams if I got one, but no chance. :(

Actually i ran a test on that in Fun Mode a few weeks back and over about 10,000 spins it came out at about 1 in 130 - but obviously the test should probably be more like 100,000 spins to get a truer reflection.

Like Video Poker and its "Royal Flush" holy grail though, every now and then you'll get a 5-Rams payout of 4,500 coins or a 5 Ice Hammers in the Free spins. This is why 9-line slots require a lot of care in balancing the budget, hence the strategy - the wait for a big win may take a while but it can account for several % of the expected return.

High-variance VP's like Double Bonus, Deuces Wild etc are similar - lots of small wins and time invested but the big win hits and makes up the expected returns off 99+%.

Whatever the Slot strategy, its important to have one and stick to it rather than just spin. The fixed-coin slots like Treasure Nile for example where every spin is $2.25 mean invariably you'll lose in the long run as there is no way to strategize effectively (maybe bar stopping the first time you are "up").

U R RT, Simmo.
I met Rams at first 5 hand twice. but if I went to a long run, period is sort of longer. maybe just bad luck, It take 40min, 450 spin without Rams to dry up my $11 just now. I even doubt they set up something.

I found the fun mode is different with real mode, at least screen, should be different server session.

I have a question, after I play a while, if I disconnect or relogin later, what will effect the period of spin?

None whatsoever - in theory. However i adopt the "big win, sign off, sign back on, play again" theory sometimes...just feels good (psychologically) stopping a successful session and starting a new one for some reason

Nice article Simmo!
I've been an online gamer for 4 years, but have only recently started 'dabbling' with slots. I've avoided them in the past due to them being 'Jackpot' games which can involve high risk with low chance of return.
And the following proves it!
After reading Simmo's thingy I decided to give it a try with 'fun money'.
I did over 500 spins before finally getting 3 Rams - and then it was a big disappointment. Bythe time I got it I was betting $36 per spin, and the feature only returned $756 = 21/1.
Mind you, on the way there I did get a lucky win (below), $36 bet won $3880! 108/1 - now that's more like it!

But at the end of the day I lost all my 'fun money' and remain unconvinced that Thunderstruck is really a good game to win on. Anyone trying Simmo's plan for the first time - PLEASE be careful & know your limit!
Good luck!

For those that are interested, i calculated that the chances of 3 Rams should occur 1 in 123.5 spins using a binomial calculation based on 3 from 5, 1 in 10 chances of appearing (as Tstruck seems to have 30 symbols per reel by my reckoning). (5C3) (1/10)^3 (9/10)^2

So actually my 10,000 sample producing 1 in 130 wasn't far off.

Cheers

Geeko!
