Mansion Casinos Most Irritating Fun Mode Play!

I don't know about anyone else, but I, for one, enjoy playing at times, in the fun mode at a few given casinos. Just to test waters and see if I want to make a deposit, I play for a while and then if it feels right, I go into REAL MONEY mode play.

Now, I have deposited MANY times at Mansion Casino and you would think that they would have a switch to turn off a darn pop up, that comes up in the middle of play, every ten spins, to someone that has become a member and made deposits, wouldn't you?

It is the most irritating thing to have to stop play and click close, every ten spins...sheesh...don't they want any players to play for real? All other casinos OFFER FREE PLAY MODE without any hitches such as this and it really is annoying.

Mansion Casino offers some really fun games, but if they don't want my money, fine...I will go somewhere else , just the same! All I would like to do is a little warm up in the fun mode, and I am sure others do as well. :what: before going into REAL MODE.

Or how about (most playtech) casinos that when you first log in as a new player there's a live chat window waiting for you with a rep on the other end trying to push a bonus down your throat. :eek2: Just as annoying in my mind

Yep, that's why I screen my calls. Then I uninstall that particular casino and never return when that sh!t happens. I would tell the rep that opened the live chat that I had already read the bonuses and don't appreciate them trying their hard sales tactics, then close the window and repeat the above process.

I just have to laugh (literally) at these casinos that actually have a spot for your WORK PHONE NUMBER when you sign up. Who are they trying to kid? You think anyone's going to actually give that out to them?? What's worse is the fact that some actually make it a required field. I would always just put my home # in there as well.

I agree, winbig...

How about the ones that ask for your cell number as well? Yeah, right! Like I want to hear from them, on any phone, at all! I like playtech, but it is kind of scary to have live chat pop in out of nowhere asking you to deposit. What are they thinking? I despise hard line salespeople! Geez.

After reading the "Mansion Casinos Most Irritating Fun Mode Play!", I thought it was a good start for a poll. It may be difficult to decide, but try and pick the ones you've experienced so operators can get a good feel on what pisses players off.

Incorrect or conflicting information!

I decided to finally check out Cherry Casino yesterday, so clicked on the Meister's link to get to their website.
On their site it says the S.U.B. is 50% to $111 max. WR (D+B)x20
Not very attractive, but the monthly looks OK so I signed up.
Got an e-mail from them inviting me to take their S.U.B. of 30% to $30 max. :what:

Also really bad; No link to the bonus T&C's from the promoting page - I had to search for them and only found them by looking at the site-map

{Edit} I voted 'Disabled Fun Mode' with MG casino's in mind. Very annoying!
(I keep a play-money only MG casino on my PC which I will never sign-up with - just so I can try out new games in 'Fun Mode')
Buried T&C's comes a very close second! :(

Starting Poll

I'm moving this to the "Online Casinos" section because I thought this would be a good thread for a poll.

the most annoying for me is when they ask for last four digits of my social security number.......i usually make one up but then I worry that they might use that against me if I won big

I could add two things: not emailing you your Fun Account user/password combo at MG casinos, and not telling you about the Reverse Withdrawal times (MG/Playtech). Then at Crypto's it annoyed me when you realised you had to wait for a PIN to cash out though that looks like it's on the way out

two cents from me as well

1. After I make a real money deposit in a microgaming casino, i couldn't figure out going back to fun money mode. I had to download another microgaming casino and play in fun mode.

2. Golden Palace has crazy popups, you are playing in play money and everytime you get a big win they show a popup saying hey its your lucky day why dont you make a deposit - this popup comes irrespective of how much you have lost in the previous bets. GoldenPalace - if you are listening, its NOT my lucky day if i lose 30 K and win 1 K! A little bit of sincerity in the message would really help!

Though i do not play on any playtech casino's expect for GoldenPalace (in playmoney), I tend to believe this conversion popup comes up in all PlayTech casino's.

1: Nope, it's not possible to have a guest account and real account at the same MG casino.

2: That should be enough to put them in roguedom if you ask me.

Yes, I totally agree with tennis_balls, the last 4 digits of social security. Why would you need that considering all the other possible ways to vertify identity? It's not the whole number, but most places always ask for last 4 digits when you do banking and credit card stuff. It's has a huge potential for identity fraud. Who knows how tight their security is on their player databases. I mean is there an organization that checks out this stuff on accreditated casinos?

Hard to find T & C's are on my shit list too. If I can't find it, I won't play there. Plan and simple, I mean what are you trying to hide it for?

1. I hate it when DL# or last 4 of Soc sec. is a required field in the sign up process. I'm afraid to give them a fake one as I'm sure it could be used to deny a big cash out (yeah right) later on. Neither numbers are any of the casinos business. When I fax DL# as proof of ID I always black out most of the number. They do not need it!

2. I know this is an old gripe, but MG has got to do something about this: Downloading the entire MG suite of games for a new casino. It took around 2 hours for all the games at Grand Monaco to download when I signed up this weekend. Two hours. And I'm on DSL! It's ridiculous. (And reminds me that I need to do some uninstalling.) Yes, I could play while they were downloading -- if I didn't mind reels that jerk and jump or stop and start in mid spin, along with reels that spin and spin...

3. Also hate buried, scattered, and conflicting T&C.

When you switch from fun mode to real money at MG casinos your cookie is overwritten with your real money account number. However, you can still login with your fun account details. If you don't remember them a halfway decent support should hand them over. Like Simmo pointed out it would be nice to email your fun account details automatically.

Oh, that nerves! But once (he-he-he :p ), they persuaded me to take a bonus, I think it was Vegas Red but instead of being caught in a mouse-trap, as they hoped, I won very big playing Chinese Kitchen. They sent me a zillion e-mails offering a bonus if I reverse cashout, I didn't. After payout just deinstalled it.

And with work phone, I actually am so stupid honest, that
I give my real phone.number... Thanks for the tip from some people here - I would give my home phone instead.

I also feel very uncomfortable to give my passport number...

LOL! Just imagine - in supermarkt, or in restaraunt, or just being with someone around who has no idea about your 'secret sins', the phone rings with all those pop-ups

Yeah, that's true - but who keeps records of all their 'fun' accounts?

Why can't MG just have 'Play for Fun' or 'Play for Real Money' options like Crypto & Playtech do?

I agree with that, that is my least favorite part about signing up.
But phone calls are the number 2 reason.

I get most annoyed when I have to search for the T&C. Nothing as important to me and for some reason always a mission to find,.. I have lost my scout leader once sending him out to search for a casinos T&C:eek2:

...and these damn promotions that always have something different in their own terms and conditions! There is always two or three versions of the T&C somehwere on a casino website!

I have one particular casino that calls me at least once a month letting me know about bonuses and such. What irritates the hell out of me is that when you answer the phone, it's a recording on the other end... so you can't even tell them to F off and never call me again. I've recently sent an email to them asking not to call me anymore... so far no response. If they call again my next email won't be so nice.

I also HATE the box that pops up in free mode after a decent win. I will always play in fun mode to try out new games etc. I won a measley $66 in fun mode yesterday at one casino, and I got not one, but TWO pop ups about it. Apparently, it was my lucky day! What's far more apparent to me is that casino's couldn't care less how annoying they are. I'm far more inclined to deposit somewhere where they let me test and try the games without being bothered every 10 seconds.

And yes, you can have both a real and a free account at MG casinos. If you have a real account you need to send an email to support requesting them to set up a fun mode account.

Course U can!

I've done it.

1) Open guest acct.
2) Use the "play for real" from within the guest account, this will reopen the registration page and allow a real account to be opened. Both guest & real accounts will both work, although you will have to overtype the account number each time you want to swap between the two. (This can be overcome with a little registry fiddling).

3) Redownload the casino after having cleared the registry key from making the guest account, this will also trigger the appearance of the registration page.

4) Some casinos will supply a guest login on request, RiverBelle sent me one unprompted when I signed up for real.

I can't believe all the players who say they get phone calls offering a bonus!

No casino has EVER phoned me with that!
(In fact I can only recall a total of 2 phone calls from casinos in 5.5 years - one checking my identity for a withdrawal, and one telling me I'd won a free draw prize).
