Taking a break

Hello everyone,

I just set a cool off from nearly every casino (two left because something not finished yet). Lately, I had out of sudden not intention to play much, it was more a forcing "come take the offer..." and so I decided to take a one month break from gambling and maybe for a longer time. But one month is set and if it works well I will maybe stop gambling for an undefined time. Had no financial problems ever, I can control my limits and the amount I spent pretty good - but after nearly one year gambling I feel bored and when the latest changes in the industry looking like: fewer promotions, worse promotions, reducing RTP, ... then maybe this is a good time to lean back and watch.

Not sure how I will fill the time, maybe I will do two instead one sports day per week and will try to do what I did before (Writing a book, never finished it, 120 pages filled but will take at least 500 pages to finish the story. It is a simple story about a human who is trying to get the maximum out of his body and mind while he gets a better living form he is getting a cold psychopath and the reading person can see how he is charming young ladies and kil... well everything to get "perfect").

Not sure why I write this here, maybe as a reminder for myself. But that way you probably will read me much less (even I am not a big part of the CM Community yet ... I already like many people here ).

Yours,

Aryol

I've did the same with January and it is refreshing. I've just got bored of slots and was no more fun in it so I've stopped.

and yes, sports are always a good choice  , plus new hobbies , spending more time with friends , visit a musem or whatever you like to do focus on that.

Good luck with this and stay strong.
The beauty of writing it here is that you will get nagged at by a load of predominantly women if we see you faulter in the next few weeks lol

That’s the beauty of a community like this.
Although here to promote play and casinos, it’s also here when players are in trouble or just simply need an encouraging word to see logic.

you appear to be a good problem solver so some kind of puzzle or quest type activity might fill the void for now x

I too have taken a break from depositing. In my case i only play at 3 dice casino and after being told my RTP is 83% i knew it was time to stop. It is not fun when all you are doing is spinning dead spins. I have taken to planting and my flowers seem to be doing well (so far ) . Maybe i will buy more seeds and try my hand at some veggies. I might just quit gaming all together soon. I think if the USA was allowed to play at more casino's i would be in a bad boat but for now i did not develop too much of a problem. I will still be around also lurking and sometimes posting. It makes me sad i can not give too much input on many casino's . Do what is best for you hun and i hope you enjoy your break .

I did a posting a while back saying I was taking a break from VS and gambling generally,I messed up the time out setting and did 6 days instead of 6
weeks.Since then I have not made a deposit or have any intention of doing so in the near future, this has been re enforced by all the ongoing negative
changes at VS. Just in case anyone thinks I slipped back,I have been messing about with freeroll winnings but now they are gone and so has my
intention to gamble.

I have just simply got bored of the same repetitive cycles. Hit a reasonable win withdraw, play that back before that slot kicks back into life, nice winning session, 3 sessions of hitting nothing. Along with the saturation of games hitting the market of which I find about 1 in 50 float my boat. The strange thing is all this has come off the back of a reasonably good run. Maybe I played to much or I am reluctant to deposit knowing what is most likely to happen. I haven’t even considered closing any accounts (never have). It just simply doesn’t give me the buzz anymore.

I feel the same as everyone else.

In the 15 years or so I’ve been playing both online and bricks and morter slots things have just become tiring.

It’s probably not the case but it just feels like something changed in the games.

My theory is, like every company in the times of economic down turn turnover will fall, people will spend less but there are still overheads etc that have to be paid and margins maintained.

Chocolate companies made their bars smaller and blagged it was for public health, airlines cut back one the quality of service (bar the excellent middle easterns and some Asian airlines), casinos I feel have done the same and whilst I’m not suggesting anything dodgy I just feel those returns on investment are not as good. Hence I self excluded both online and off line.
