Hey guys,

A good friend of mine recommended I try to dip into the gambling/casino market of affiliate marketing. I'm heavy into promoting diet/health products and have been doing it for quite some time. I recently jumped into the mobile space and have been seeing some very profitable runs. I just need you guys to help me take a grasp on this market, which is why I joined this forum. I know all about the CPA (mainstream product) side of affiliate marketing, but I want to learn more about the gambling vertical of affiliate marketing.

A few questions I have (maybe it will start a solid discussion):

- Who are the good/bad guys? Who should I avoid, and who should I start running with? Any fools?
- Is there a place where I can find a list of the small programs and big programs? I know that there are a lot of public companies.
- Any strategy's you want to share on how to rake in players?
- Who should I be meeting? I have a lot of traffic, I have huge budgets, I'm here to rake in cash.
- Is it better to run with rev-share or CPA?
- Top programs you recommend I join?

Thanks for helping me out, not sure where to start as I have zero contacts on this side. I feel sort of hopeless!

PS: I have posted this exact introduction on another forum, instead of having to rewrite it entirely, I feel using the same introduction is fine.

Welcome to the iGaming affiliate world... you'll never look back!

There is a great deal you can pick up on Casinomeister, but I would suggest to you that forums like GPWA, AffiliateGuardDog and CasinoAffiliatePrograms would be better starting grounds for an affiliate new to the space.

Bit of advice number 2. Get yourself to one of the affiliate conferences in Europe. The next one is in Barcelona and runs 3-6 October. You'll meet affiliates, both veteran and new there, get to browse round most of the leading operators' stands etc. Further advice on that, get meetings set up beforehand.

If you can't do Europe, there will be a bunch of US and European affiliates attending the Global Gaming Expo in Vegas in late September. I might well be there myself.

You will find a great deal of information online about which affiliate programs you should and shouldn't promote. If you're looking at Casino, the accredited list here is about as solid a recommended list you will find.

I've been working in the iGaming affiliate world for 8 years and independently for the last 4, so can be more honest than most! I'd be happy to have a chat over Skype whenever suits - tom_galanis.

Good luck with setting up!

Cheers,

Tom

Thanks for the input Tom, I really appreciate it. I've added you on Skype so I can bug you more with newbie questions :D. I've already joined GPWA and also waiting for approval on AffiliateGuardDog. I've definitely thought about heading to some of the events.
