Summer Music Camp For Local Kids

First, let me say A big thank you to Bryan for letting me post this.

It may not help the project much but just want to get the word out there.




My son is a singer with a local band. He has started a local project to help kids get started in the music field in our city.

They will have local musicians working with these kids helping them learn instruments and vocals.

There is a lot more to it so I have posted the links to His bands FB page, The projects FB page, and a link to the gofundme website, where he is trying to raise money for it.

Congrats on having a musical son, and one that's trying to give back.

Music is a wonderful thing, even for those that won't be professionals. Most schools have cut music programs.

There's a pretty cool thing in our town in memory of a great musician that passed away quite a number of years ago...

Instruments are expensive, and the music lending library gives everyone a chance to try things out.

I'll repost things. I have a son-in-law that's a band leader, and some friends that are professional musicians as well.

He has also always gotten involved when it comes to benefits for sick people, their band plays free of charge for those. Or he helps to get door prize donations, raffle prizes and such.

I am of course, very proud of him! He is such a sweetheart!

I know not many of you read this but I just want to post a follow up.

My sons' dream of having a "First-Gig Band Camp" for local kids appears to be coming to

fruition.

He has been working hard on it and they are having a big fund raiser tomorrow with all kinds

of activities, about 15 bands playing through-out the day, 50-50 drawings, raffles, auctions,

and food galore.

He has been on 3 different radio stations this week, promoting the fund raiser and the local

paper has an article about it and him in todays' edition.


I am just so proud of my son! He is striving to give back to the community!
