Starting to see thread after thread about negative response to casinos

I for one have posted about a group of casinos i wont play at any longer. But it seems to stem a lot deeper then that. I log into casinomeister few times a day and always hit new posts. It seems most of these new posts are complaints about this casino or that casino. Is it the fact that if we are happy with a casino we just dont post it or is this a spot where we can let off steam. Or also wondering if this is whats to come in the next few months, casinos taking advantage of players with void bonus offers taking weeks to pay or accusing some of bonus abuse and so on. Can and do the casinos tighten up the slots so they are harder to hit or is that just something we all came up with when we cant hit anything. I know one time at a live casino I had my 30 year old daugher with me and employee hitting on her said dont play that one they had us tune it so less hits. Can they do this with online ones also and thats why we have so many complaints about not hitting anything. Have the casinos spent more money adding new games and their funds are low as this is why they take so long to pay us. I dunno just a thought anyone else have feedback or a response to any of this.

I've been running this board for ten years now, and I can state that people like to complain more than they like to dish out good comments. That's human nature - and it's true in all aspects of life.

On the other hand, there are some members who don't post in the complaints section. They either don't want to get involved, or they have nothing to complain about. Some members loiter there and never leave :D

There are a number of good threads that are non-complaining in nature - about slot stats, game ideas, kudos, religion and gambling - but it's the melt-downs and conspiracies and non-payment stories that are more interesting for most people. :p

Nothing changes. The crooks are still crooks and what you see here is the tip of a dirty grubby iceberg.

And consider this. This watchdog site CasinoMeister has been going for more than 10 years. You'd think the industry would have evolved into something a little more credible by now. But 10 years ago players were complaining about not getting paid (and rigged games) and here we are in the next century with the same complaints all over again.

I see one major positive in that players get paid much faster at certain establishments these days such as bet365, Ladbrokes, InterCasino and 32 RED. Quality venues that can be distinguished from the vast gallery of otherwise online pirates.

But Slots? Come on, how can they be rigged? Even if they paid back 75 cents in the dollar there would still be shills here posting up winning screen shots for the ploppies to devour.

Everyone loves the Slot junkie. Casinos, affiliates and bonus hunters. The Slot junkie pays them all.

Thanks you 2 can always count on you both to turn my feelings around.
Im going to try 32red think reason i hadnt was deposit reasons so ill check into it and let you know. And yes this group of folks do run one great site with lots of help and other issues you can turn to for advice. Also wanted to point out that yes i have posted some negative casino threads but at the same time i have posted when the casino has gone beyond what a casino can do to help you or reward you also maybe we could get a few others to post some good comments to point out the better part of gambling life. Yes it does seem like few of us live in here but im sure just like myself you open up casinomeister in seperate window off you go to work and all and its still open when you get back. In the long run saves me time logging back in. LOL

I frequently have good experiences with casinos but am afraid to post about it on CM because some members interpret this as trying to promote the site. What is the proper way to give kudos to a casino without the wrong appearance?

Bryand,

Dont worry about posting your good experiences with casinos. Most of us here will be able to distinguish the real ones from the 'shills'.

I have the same issue. I have good experiences with most of the casino I play at, but like just about everyone else I usually only post on the very rare occasion that I have a problem.
When I do have a really good experience to report (like my extreme luck with the Ladbrokes scratchcards in April), some people accuse me of lying, or trying to 'shill' for the casino just because I happen to be an affiliate as well as a player. :(

Maybe its dif for some of us im not a affiliate so good threads are looked at differently. I like the good threads also shows me that a casino responded in time or acted responsibly for a change and thats great to see. I joined 32red today and made my reg deposit and did a withdraw also so wasnt a bad day for me. GOOD LUCK everyone see you all tonight

FWIW, here's my view of why we see more complaints than praise....

Let's put it this way... for me, it's sort of like going to McDonald's for a burger, fries and a Coke. If the burger and fries are edible, the coke not watery, and all are handed to me in a reasonable amount of time, I am content. I didn't expect gourmet, so passable will do. I don't go on bulletin boards and call up friends telling them the food at Mickey D's wasn't horrible today. Why? Because that is what they are supposed to do! Dish out cheap, edible food in fast order. That is why I go there.

If however, the burger is grisly, the fries stone cold, the coke watered down, and it took me half an hour to get it -- then I'm not content. If this happens more than once, I phone the store, leave a message for the shift supervisor who never returns my call -- THEN I write to McDonald's corporate office, and post on bulletin boards.

My advice to casinos... listen to your customers. I dare say most players will complain to CS first. THEN, after no satisfaction, they come here.

That about sums it up for me as well, Mousey - yet it seems that even with experience too many operators still haven't grasped this truth yet!

It's just the nature of this forum that there would be more complaints that kudo's and yes most of us are quite when we are happy and have nothing negative to say.

As Mousey said........"My advice to casinos... listen to your customers. I dare say most players will complain to CS first. THEN, after no satisfaction, they come here." Great advice Mousey but I'm afraid they don't listen.

If the people in charge could grasp this simple concept there would be a lot less complaints here. I for one have found many instances of managers not empowering their CS people with the information nor the tools to effectively do the job.
I won't get into a long winded story here but I had an experience with CS yesterday at Pantasia that was really sad. I hopped on chat after sending an email and getting no reply to ask about the monthly % cash back program because I hadn't received mine for the month, which was a grand total of almost 7 bucks. First........the cs person asked me where I had heard of the cash back program, then told me they didn't have one.......I then pointed them to their website which clearly explained it. Then I was told that I had not made the minimum monthly required deposit in order to receive the cash back (website said nothing about this).......I finally said......geez it's just 6 bucks or so. I felt bad for the cs person...her hands were tied, she didn't have the authority to give me the 6 bucks. Ridiculous uh! Manger/Owners expect the cs people to do a good job but leave them clueless and powerless. Things like this........and yes 6 bucks is trivial leaves a bad taste in the customers mouth. I later was sent an email with a no deposit of $7.00, well whoopee.....What about my frustration and my 30 minutes of time wasted, which could have been so easily nipped in the bud. My issue could have been taken care of in 5 minutes and I would have left with a smile......thinking wow that was nice, they get more of my money, instead I get a clueless cs person whose hands are ridiculously tied.

Ive said that all along also few month back i was calling on behalf of a friend
about their account. Cs hadnt been trained the right way nor could they deal with the issue or put her money in her account from poker to casino or even give her a gift bonus to let her play few hours till monday when they can fix the issue. If they feel they are giving us live chat to help then they should also help live chat to be able to help us more and train them better.

But if I am interested in which fast food restaurant to try for the first time, how would I know just by reading negative posts?

Ah! Well, that's where the accredited 'fast food' section comes in to play. I always take that into consideration along with the negatives. ;)

Come on KK,
If you praise a site (even genuinely) that you have a vested interest in (affiliate of) and other people have an entirely different experience to that which you state they are likely to throw a few black looks your way.
That goes with the territory.

All affiliates say;

"We have got feelings too, you know."

You can take it KK :D

But if I am interested in which fast food restaurant to try for the first time, how would I know just by reading negative posts?

By chatting with support or asking them questions via email. If they are only interested in making you deposit you should be wary. If in the case of 32 RED or 3 Dice, their support staff are willing to go to great lengths to explain and help you with any problems regading the software and games. Recently, Enzo of 3 Dice Pmed me to try and help me resolve the issue of downloading the casino software. Others would simply have forgotten my problem with this and I really appreciated that. The problem still lingers on but it's the thought that counts.

The casinos you should not patronise are those that dangle a carrot in front of you with a 100%/150% match bonus when it is clear that only you want to know more or have some unresolved issues. You should be less hasty in your choice of casinos. Do more research and it will be fine. That's advice from a stupid player who deposited quite a bundle in his early days at RTG casinos registered with Safebet and even casinos that confiscated your bet if when the internet conncetion failed.:D:D

Could someone start a thread for legit (non-shilling) Positives

Hi everyone, I've enjoyed reading this particular post. (But my forum-ing skills are non-existent...if this actually gets posted it just might put me over" 500" for my CM-career...and I have no idea how to quote, start a new thread, make a clever little sig...mine would be "The unlived life isn't worth examining?")...now to the point.

We all evolve a "short list" of straight-up houses that...and KK hits the nail right on the head...we don't want to be seen as shilling, but we really WOULD like to let others know. Such a thread (and if posters would "get" it--and shills likewise...that they are NOT welcome there especially...perhaps it could become a regular section).

Perhaps it would help to start off with some straight up outfits that are NOT CM-accredited, but we feel are A-OK...

I have only one such great house that I deal with (ie. Not CM-blessed, but i think it's great...for a number of reasons--and it's a Playtech house of all things...Totesport.

*40x and fully-weighted across the board (except Roul/Bacc/Craps/SicBo)

*50-quid monthly, usually 25-quid weekly in addition to the huge SUB

*the best most-flexible Loyalty Point scheme...dead accurate, dead up-to-date...and dead-perfect for WR-tracking...

*if you love VP, it has the wonderful "Double-Half" feature along with Double--the use of these both cuts the HA and quickly runs up the play-volume (PT is the only house that has this Double-Half feature that I know of, and one of the extreme few who count these sorts of coin-toss bets toward the WR).

And the customer service is GREAT...entirely telephone-based (perfect for me...I hate IM/live-texting when I've got a problem now...but some won't like the absence of it)

Only problem is the complete absence of E-wallets...I HATED the credit-card only (just like most WagerWorks) policy, but because the re-loads come so fast and furious and the access to fully-counting low-HA games (surrender BJ and VP-with-Doubling and Half-Doubling are my faves) I've just decided to "settle in and stay awhile" because I really don't like using my Visa more frequently than seldom.

In a nutshell, Totesport is a Bet365 play-alike and CS-alike BUT rich in Re-load bonuses (but unfortunately visa-card dependent).

Ok, if someone would just quote this, I could get my first thread-opening "assist".

And could someone tell me how to attach a quote here.

Quik follow up to the above post

All the rest of the houses I love are CM-accredited...with the possible exception of the Crypto Littlewoods (and like Totesport...if it ain't it should be)...

_______________

And how would I go about getting a cool graphic to show up by my name...to accompany the incredibly witty and pithy signature quote that everyone ELSE has...being book smart and cyber-stupid sucks

Thanks Chuchu. I'm sure your post is good advise to all.

PS: I totally agree about Tote Sport & Littlewoods - both top class UK casinos.
(But I'm not shilling!)
