Soccer betting?

Can someone explain why I lost when I bet the
ML and my team won in OT? I bet $1000 on spain and lost because they won in Extra time.

How do I bet to make sure it covers the game and extra time?

You lost because the regulary ML for football is 1X2. If the game is a draw in regular time the X wins.

Usually there's an outright market for matches that are "knock-out" or a final of a tournament, so then you bet 1 or 2 and the outcome for regular time, extra time and if necessary penalties will be included.

For regular matches there's a secondary market called "draw no bet". Basically means that when there's no winner you'll get your stake back.
