So did anyone watch the cricket today?

Wasn't aware it was on - not helped by the fact that it's not on terrestrial TV either, but behind a (once owned) Sky Sports paywall 🤔

By all accounts England were trounced by nine wickets - not a good look.

Also not helped by the lack of attendees. If two of cricket's powerhouses draw in such meagre crowds on opening day then why would there be any sense of competitiveness? It looks like a glorified training match:

Ok what about last night’s rugby World Cup match? (NZ vs Ireland)

What a great 10 days to be a Kiwi sports supporter! (Please note I’ve confined this to 10 days… 🤣)

Oh yeah, I heard that the 'invincible' 'world number 1's' viz-a-viz the plastics (NZ reserves) lost to the Black and Tans last night. Perhaps we can have a new slot 'Leprechaun's Quarter Final Tour' based around the 8 cities they've lost them in.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Not a fan of rugby usually but that was a hell of a game. Hoping the France v South Africa game is half as good tonight.
Well, you got your wish! Incredible match, all 4 QFs have been tense and close but this one probably edged them.

The irony is that England are the worst team on paper left in the tournament and yet the only unbeaten side. Because we had admittedly a 'Southgate draw'. It would need a miracle to beat S.A.

Great game again. Springboks are in a different league to England atm though, cant see that game being close.
